Keep the sizes in illustrator until the end of the work

Hi people! I started to learn how to use illustrator and I'm stuck in something that can be super easy. I want to create a file with a specific size, but once I finished my work, the size has changed, and the file is huge! Can someone help me understand how to keep the size until the end? Thank you ;-)

Sangaré,

They want a png file!

In this case, they will receive a raster image and a conversion from CMYK to RGB.

You may be able to talk to them in a PDF to vector instead, but hey can have reasons and you can (must) give them what they want.

You should be able to do, in several different ways:

(A) define the plan of work/artwork to the desired 300 PPI size and export it with 300 PPI in the options.

(B) set the Board graphic/artwork on the size that you want in pixels x pixels and save for the Web without changing anything.

(C) the plan of work/work together to size that you like and save for Web and set the desired pixel x pixel size in the window to the size of the Image.

Don't forget to check out Art (or Type) optimized (it's hidden in the window to the size of the Image for save for Web).

I created an illustrator work 18.0 with 18 layers, and imported into the new model AE as Composition - keep the sizes of layer.

My first problem was imported for only 15 layers, but I realized that somehow the file would come back a couple of stops of the same file name. With the import of layers 15, my layers appeared in their correct position when placed in the layout, but missed me the 3 layers.

After I guessed by saving the file in Illustrator on a new file name and import it, I could get all 18 layers - but all my anchor of layers to the center of the model and do not align their correct position.

How can I get all the 18 layers to align their proper positions as they appear in Illustrator in my AE Comp?

The answer I found that create a similar thread in After Effects. That's after Effects were originally, I had to post this thread, but with my subject be Illustrator, my son went through during the community selection to post and another mistake on my part.

The answer is that my project took 7 work plans. Why? I was working on a work plan, I had a work plan of thinking, thinking that I was changing the size of the artboard, but actually make new work plans.

I deleted the work plans are not used 6 and finished with the plank a chart where I got my Illustrator layers, imported into After Effects and everything works as supposed.

The path that I was creating to try to solve my error is confusing, but the answer is simple.

  • Hard to keep the shape size between Illustrator and Photoshop

I do a lot of my work to vector in Photoshop form, because it has the basic tools I need. Recently, however I wanted to learn and use some more advanced in illustrator forms tools. The problem that I've run is that when I try and move forms between the 2 programs their pixel sizes are not kept at all, not even close.

I have attached a screenshot showing the same form in both Photoshop (left) and when stuck in Illustrator (right). Note the zoom levels are the same and therefore the pixel grids are the same size.

I need to use the pixel preview mode in illustrator often, so I can't just simply turn off and ignore the difference. This happens when either I paste the shape in illustrator or if I import or drag the shape to a library of creative clouds where I kept the shape.

Here's the thing, if I'm working on the form at this tiny size in illustrator and then paste it into photoshop, it returns to the correct size. However, if in Illustrator, I choose to use the pixel grid and draw a shape to the appropriate size, when I pick her up photoshop it becomes huge.

I searched on through all the preferences of the two applications, ensuring that the measures are all set to pixels everywhere, as the value of the 72 DPI sicesdonneessontdisponibles. I even went to the length of completely uninstall Illustrator, blowing all my settings, re-installing and setting up again. Nothing has changed.

One of my colleagues has this problem at all. A box of 10px in an application becomes a zone of 10px in the other, but we can not simply to understand why it does not work the same way for me.

    Help, please!

  • After that you increase the size of the page with Ctrl plus, is there a way to keep the new setting?

My new laptop has great features but a much smaller screen. Change the screen resolution in Windows makes it all look terrible. Using ctrl / + in Firefox to increase the page size solves the problem, but only until you go to a new page. Is there a way to keep the new setting until what reverse you it with ctrl/less?

There are some add-ons that can be used to change the zoom level on all sites, for example:

Is not possible. After effects CC is the only software to subscription. You pay each month and download all the updates that are included. But you never admit it.

If I pay $20 monthly for 1 year as he says, at the end of the year I will always be able to keep the software without paying for it again (not to mention the upgrade) and use it.

N ° after 12 months, you either renew your subscription or you cancel your plan.

If you choose to renew then you keep paying your monthly fees. If you choose to cancel then the software will stop working until you choose to renew.

If this is not how to pay for it and keep it forever, and how much it will cost me?

There is no way to buy CC pure and simple and keep it forever.

The only version you can afford and keep it forever is CS6 (the version before CC) available here

  • Save for Web Action which keeps the size of the specific image

I need to create an action recording for a 850 web x 655px.

When testing my action for the first time, it shows in the Save as dialog box, the image has been reduced to this size as a percentage. If it works well.

However, when you test the action on an image of different original report, it still reduces the percentage that had been recorded, rather than just to save the image to the 850 x 655, which gives me a different image size.

Anyone know how I can keep the size of the image of 850 x 655 every time?

  • Keep the same size of Movieclip on the adjustment of the image.

I use Adobe animate to create Sprite sheets, however I encountered a problem. My movieclip is 400 x 400 pixels in size, in order to create sprite type easy grid cards. However, when I set my image/handle to a different size, say 200 x 400 pixels, it changes the size of movieclip so that it messes up my beautiful grid like structure in my sprite sheet. Is there a way to organize/resize images within a movieclip, while keeping the 'parent' dimensions 400 x 400 all the time?

    Thank you

Oops, nevermind. That's the sheet entire sprite, not individual sprites.

Perhaps the size of sprite could be forced into a compatible size with crop marks in the corners. However, the importer request to remove them.

  • Import of "Composition - keep the layer size.

    Hello!

When importing a graphic file, I can either choose "Composition" or "Composition - keep the size of the layer.

Could not quite understand what the difference is.

    Can someone give an example?

    Thank you.

Of course, do a Photoshop document with two layers in it. Such as, for example, a text layer and a circle.

Import both directions and note the differences in size of layer in two compositions. In one, each layer is the size of the publication, but in the other, the layer sizes match the layer content.

  • What is the best way to resize an image, but keep the height and width of the same original size or format?

What is the best way to resize an image, but keep the height and width of the same original size or format?

I tried to use the function of the size of the Image, but when I changed the size of the image, the width has not changed with it.

    Thanks for the tips!

    Hi Landon.Luu,

You want to keep the relationship between the width and height to be the same?

Click the constraint between width and height to keep the ratio intact.

    Kind regards

  • How to set Photoshop size chart (a background scene) to adapt to the work of the Illustrator without changing its quality

    Dear Photoshop pros,

I recently worked on a project that requires both photoshop and illustrator. However, here's a problem, my artboard illustrator file is 12 x 16 in because I can resize the work at any time, but photoshop graphic (background) that I created was too small to intensify, and it will fade and blur with tiles of pixel being considered. I realized that I don't know how to configure the size of the background in photoshop in order to make evolutionary or more if I intend to use it as a background in illustrator.

You'd like to share with me how you set up the size of your work in photoshop to fit in an Illustrator file with 12 x 16 in the artboard.

Thank you very much in advance for your kindly advice!

    Masako

If you follow my sizes PS - 12 x 12 ins at 300 PPI, (3600 x 3600 px), which should be large enough for most cases.

  • keep the size of the zoom in/out absolute when brush

I wonder if it is possible, or is there a way for me to keep my brush of the same size when I Zoom in/out to a drawing.

what I mean is if I put my brush 80px and my drawing at 50%, the size of my brush is a relatively good size, but if I Zoom in/out the relationship between the size of my brush and modifications of design. my brush will appear bigger if I'm at 100% even if it is still to 80px.

so I would like to know is possible to keep my brush to 80px, but always keep the size that is when my drawing was 50% even when I'm at 100% zoom? because I Zoom in and out a lot during my cycle of painting and it's a pain to have to constantly change brush sizes.

P.S. I know the shortcuts after you press [] to change brush sizes.

    I use Photoshop CS6 on a windows 7.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi Linnt_roller,

Because the tip of your brush is set to display the actual shape and size of the brush, if your brush is a circle of 80px, this circle more and smaller as you zoom in and zoom out - this is because the pixels are larger or smaller as a percentage of your screen size. Changing the size of the brush when you zoom in and zoom out is actually the tool you draw with.

You can control the display of the brush tip cursor, if that's any help - there are several options in the preferences > cursors.

However, it is not possible to automatically change the brush size when you zoom in, even if looks like it's what you want to do (change a smaller brush when you have zoomed in). One option, you can consider if you use not yet she is using a Wacom stylus - with the pressure sensitivity, you can vary the size of the brush depending on how hard you press the tablet. This will not change the display of the cursor, but it will control how much area that you are painting with.

    I hope this helps!

He has no such limit, and in fact some users in this domain and other forums report catalogues over 1/2 million pictures works well.

The idea to create multiple catalogs because you don't want to get too big catalog file size is a bad idea that you should never think of it again.
