Kernel panics don't allow relocation of the El Capitan
My 2015 13 inch MacBook Pro with SSD 512 started special behavior of exposure to the course to restart this week. Before this week, the recent troubles were only occasional web page that never completely load, which I fixed it just to restart the browser. Although a laptop computer, the computer is rarely moved or even disconnected. It's a stock Mac without MS Office or Flash, with a few apps not Apple.
The special observation was that the laptop has gone through several Apple white on black screens during a routine start with thin whie progress bars that would freeze, followed by restart again. When all small text began to appear in the upper left of the screen (white text on a black background), it was obvious that something was wrong. I know now what are the kernel panics.
Disk utility has revealed no problems, so I finally called Apple Support. We tried to restart in safe mode, but the problem persisted. We tried to boot into recovery mode, but the problem persisted. Finally, we were able to get into recovery mode (even if after six kernel panics) and decided to reinstall the system (El Capitan 10.11.3). As it progressed, I left and went to work. At his return and the awakening of the computer, I saw the message that the computer has been restarted due to a problem. Disappointment, because it meant that it was still having trouble. I arranged for a visit to the Genius Bar, fortunately basically right across the street.
Although I had run a diagnostic of the consumer of the House (no problem detected), the first thing done engineering was their hardware diagnostics. That revealed no problems whatsoever. I had a Time Machine backup, and so we decided to go and recreate the image on the computer. He seemed confident that it could solve the problem. It connected to their network image 10.11.3 they use in the store all the time and was surprised by the result. Instead of a new installation, my account was on the screen with the message on the computer is restarted due to a problem. After rehearsal and get the same result, my laptop was sent away from their computer laptop "hospital."
Finally, my two questions: 1) I can trust my Time Machine backup to operate in automatic mode to transfer my stuff, or do I have to manually bring things overs, piece by piece. I certainly re - will download and install fresh copies of all my applications. (2) in the world, is there trouble with the MBP that it oppose the setting and the redefinition even if all the testing equipment and the disk first aid report no problem? Should I have insisted on a new replacement computer instead? The computer is less than six months.
Thank you
After rehearsal and get the same result, my laptop was sent away from their computer laptop "hospital."
Well, because it feels like it's a hardware problem and you have done all the good measures.
Assuming that the Mac is really fixed, then you can restore backups Time Machine.
Intermittent failure of RAM (rare for Apple, as long as RAM, but not impossible).
lack of SSD, bad return data in readings, including loading programs so that they do not.
I've seen don't panic the kernel USB devices cause no. Your keyboard and trackpad interface via internal USB bus.
That's the big 3 I can think. NOTE: Generally the Apple hardware does not have such problems, but when you make millions of units, it can happen.
And the diagnosis is unable to put the component under the correct pressure. If it is associated with USB, you're not typing and moving the mouse during the tests. I've seen cases of failures of memory where you had to stand on one leg, while turning to the left (not right), drink a glass of milk (not skim). Okay, that's not true, but yes, I've seen problems with memory where you access the zone of memory making a specific type of operation in a specific before the memory sequence would fail. Made me crazy back in the mid-70 (yes I've been a user of the computer at the time).

Kernel panic reclassification of 10.8.5 at El Capitan
Hello, I tried to update Mac Pro Cougar wife 10.8.5 up El Capitan. The upgrade process seems to be okay, but put it back on, I get a gel and a spur of the panic code on screen. I have absolutely no idea of what that means, so I hope that someone out there might be able to understand.

EdHi Ed - M,
Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! I'm sorry to hear you had this problem during the upgrade to El Capitan, but I'm glad to hear that you were able to get the machine upward and running in the meantime. If you experience similar problems when you then try to update/upgrade, or would like more information on diagnosis and troubleshooting of kernel panics, you can find the following article useful (my apologies if you have already seen it):

Kernel Panic + no = RAM Startups don't have the culprit?
Hello world
I'm just putting this here so I can get advice from the community on the cause of a recent kernel panic.
About two days ago using my mac until I'm the standard "kernel panic" message.
After that the machine would not start to OS X or Bootcamp.
Give Apple Support a call in my country, to see if they could help, they suggested predictibly holding the mac of my service provider local mac (which I'm sorry to say it is hopeless).
My first thought was the logic board was dead, whenever I pressed the power button the machine would not give a startup chime, the map graphic would not communicate with the display, literally, the only thing that seemed to work was the fans.
I am the party for about 24 hours and came to him, this time, I noticed a diagnostic LED on the logic board was red, I Googled it told the LED must be switched off during normal operation and only lights up in case of a hardware error. The LED seems to indicate an error with the processor.
The next step, I tried removed all devices (no improvement)
The next step, remove the upper part of the two cards RAM; When I removed the card and tried to start the machine without the installed card slightly improved machine, giving a startup chime. Still no display or any other response from the computer.
Here's what I did then:
1. I tried to remove the last pair of RAM I have installed (I installed it only last year), this is the machine starts and the diagnostic LED on the motherboard remained OFF.
2. when I reinstalled the RAM the machine went back to not start when turned on.
3. then I tried rearranging the RAM so the suspect DIMM was on the lower riser card, remained light and the machine could not be started.
4. remove the suspect RAM has allowed me to start once more, and given that the memory has been deleted the machine seems to work very well.
I called Apple Support and said about what I had done, they seemed to think what I thought, which was 'Defective or broken RAM'; They suggested that I run the machine for a few days see if I get any errors/panic more with RAM on.
While I was on the phone with Apple I ran the Apple Hardware Test, he returned "without problems."
If fortunately I have a working machine once again, my question to the community is the following:
This sounds like a logical error processor or RAM? -I hope it's just RAM failed, it is easy to replace, however, a panel of logic or processor is almost impossible to replace with a machine as old as mine.
Thanks for any advice. I intend to run a test of 'extended' material now.

need help with the lion kernel panic
Hey all,.
I have an iMac 2006 20 "2.16 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and a disc hard 250 GB 10.7.5 OS X Lion. The iMac has recently experienced a kernel panic, and I don't know why. I have not been running new programs or change my habits of use recently. It is the first on which happened in quite some time.
I enclose the kernel panic log to this post in the hope that someone with more knowledge that I may be able to diagnose the problem and prevent an another panic does not happen.

If you have had a lot of those panics, the backtrace always appears "ATIRadeonX1000" as below?

If so, it could indicate that you have problems with your graphics hardware. I DON'T know if this is your graphics card, so make sure that you can see a pattern in all your States of panic.

I have therefore a late 2011 MacBook Pro 17-inch. Last week I upgraded my memory, existing poles installed by the manufacturer, being in need of replacement. I got the new sticks of Crucial, if that means anything. (I can't afford the offered on the Apple site so sticks of memory + $700)
I installed the memory a few days ago and due to lack of time only ran the basic test material before restarting. Everything worked well. My computer ran smoothly, could read and write files that seem to be still valid, can use most of the memory installed without problems, etc.. But having just come off a memory that was starting to go wrong I am absolutely terrified of errors memory, so as soon as I had the chance to stop (last night) I ran the extended hardware test. Which showed everything as being very good, but as soon as I rebooted, well...
Basically as soon as Chrome has re-opened my screen started to take me on a tour of mystery magic of tearing of screen, blue screens, black screens, white screens, gray screen, normal screen but with lines through it, the normal screen, but with the left side, moved to the right side, etc. Finally, a panic the kernel itself has indicated, and I restarted. The first few times, pretty much as soon as the started applications open automatically the same thing would happen (although usually without the kernel panic, instead I relied just on the power button to hard - reboot or whatever that this is called).
Initially, I assumed it was the logic board for some reason, that those who always fail in Mbps (in 12 years, what I went through at least six of them), but as far as I can tell, panic the kernel are a common result of bad memory and memory was the only thing that I've changed recently. Follow these vague advice on apple's site and/or the vague memories of recent computer problems, I rebooted in safe mode, where it don't even have to login screen before again panicking kernel, then were (which worked - for a short period - then split screen effect listed above is made permanent and required another reboot). Finally, I thought I'd test material again in basic mode and extended; the two tests have indicated no error. After the reboot it seemed was going back to normal, and I was able to do a backup via time machine, with success, but... No. No return to normal actually. (I had two kernel panics while trying to write this message, good thing he auto-enregistre!)
Now, I'm the first to admit that I'm pretty much the worst possible person to use my hands to make things. I have space issues, am pretty ADHD, my hands tremble a lot trying to do difficult things and I'm basically useless. It is therefore quite possible I have bad memory and it just took some time for the computer to notice. Also, I don't own a screwdriver in everything that is incredibly tiny size Apple their screws from the laptop casing (the memory installed at a friend's place, they are now out of the country)
So I really don't know what would be the best course of action (apart from the purchase of one of these screwdrivers, I'll do once the stores are open tomorrow):
-Suppose memory is badly installed rather than faulty and try to install it better or change the positions of the two sticks, or something else
-take the sticks of memory are faulty and, as soon as possible, get out them, place the original (also not very good, but at least the kernel doesn't have a panic every five minutes) back, request a replacement or refund of Crucial
-the problem would be in one of the memory sticks? If so, how do you know that one?
-the problem be something else? If so, how do I tell me what?
-my computer is dying? If Yes, where can I get a replacement end 2011 17-inch MBP? >_>
I enclose two incident reports, which first appeared after I restarted after the second test of material (corresponding to the panic in safe mode), with the second of panic that occurred while I was writing this message.

(Also may be interesting to note that the temperature of my machine was 65 - 70º C after the reboot, which is abnormally high, but the setting fans at 5500 RPM earned him up to normal temperatures of rest of 50ºish)
There is no way to edit posts? Hmm. [Edit: I can modify this message.] But not the op.]
Another bit potentially important information. Before installing new memory, processes kernel_task used up to 300-350 MB of real memory at startup (more over time as additional threads have been added or other).
At the present time, immediately after start-up, it uses 700-900 MB of real memory and the number climbing much faster. I don't know if it is just a function of having available physical memory and that is why the kernel treats are allowed to grow to fill the available space. I don't think so.

I got a kernel panic since I upgraded to OS X El Capitan and downloaded Parallels for Windows 10. Kernel panics occur even if I have not opened Parallels. Kernel panics seem to happen when I use safari or chrome. Sometimes, I can use my computer for hours without one panic - other times, I can only use it for about 10 minutes until another accident. I know mid-2012 rMBP have a history of related hardware graphics card failure, but I brought my MBP to an apple store for the diagnostic test to verify this and my computer has passed the test, indicating that it was not done by this problem. I would appreciate it if I could get help with this question.

Kernel Panic #2 and another batch of bad RAM?
OKAY this is getting annoying. A few days ago, I posted about a previous kernel panic and if it linked to the bad RAM.
My question has been answered by Illaass and Grant Bennet-Alder, the culprit in my kernel panic was bad RAM as Illaass noted
The expression '6 banks to report errors' panic report almost always means bad RAM.
The key is to several banks of error reports.
Also the phrase "Machine Check" usually means a hardware problem
I got the replacement RAM this morning and installed, the system showed as having 12 GB for about two hours. I got a Kernel Panic OTHER then when I rebooted my machine showed as having 8 GB of RAM once again, the two new modules have been installed would not be saved. -I opened the side of my machine to instept memory, I was surpised to find the error LED on one of the DIMMs I had installed just a few hours before.
I have therefore three options in front of me.
1. I received a second faulty module in the modules that I replaced, but what is the probability that I would get two modules of the 'bad' like this.
2. the second is of course the DIMM location on riser from the Mac Pro RAM "kills" any module installed in it. (I don't know what is the probability of this)
So I contacted the dealer that I bought the memory with a few basic troubleshooting I've been able to identify the faulty module and remove (and the other 'good' module of my system), with the deleted modules my system boots and behaves correctly, with replacement modules in my system boots (slower than normal) and new modules do not even register System Profiler , they show that slots "empty."
I took my machine to my local provider of Apple and asked their opinion, they said that it is very unlikely that the slot is the question and I just received two faulty memory sticks.
I contacted the retailer and they will send me another one module replacement, but I don't know what the probability of exactly the same thing repeats again and again.
I also have the details of my second kernel panic which I attach to this message in a minute, I'm open to suggestions as to what can happen.

Mavericks Kernel Panic caused by Skype
Just had a kernel panic, and Skype was the culprit. For the last week or two Skype is very unrepsonsive at times, crashing, hanging, etc. It's the first time it has caused a kernel panic, however.

It seems that Soundflower didn't cause the kernel panic. Apperantly, they were caused by a port leak that occurs when Skype audio settings are set to 'Even in as system'.
A solution that worked for me was to configure all audio (including Ringing) devices to another audio device instead of "Even as a system" in Skype Audio/video settings.

Kernel panic when suspending VM Win7 in Fusion 5
Well, I just had to update my corporate network password, so I was disconnected my Windows 7 VM and then signed back with the new AD password. Everything is connected normally. I went to suspend the virtual machine and about two seconds after, I get the beach ball which do not spin, then a kernel panic and my MacBook Pro that it recharges.
After restarting, I close all unnecessary applications, go to the Fusion 5.0.2 still once, start my Windows 7 VM (which is now Windows notification was not closed down properly I want Mode without failure, etc - I'm saying no, start Windows normally).
I connect to the computer virtual (and network), using the new word password and all is well.
I hit the pause button to pause the machine and I get the same beach ball frozen, panic the kernel and reboot my MBP.
The kernel panic reports that VMware Fusion is the offending application. I can't otherwise plays a large part of the Journal report. And I don't know how to recover if they stored somewhere on my machine.
Can anyone help? Should I uninstall and reinstall Fusion 5? I'm not sure that the change of password is not important, but I don't know there is something interesting in the newspaper report that would indicate where to start...
MacBook Pro
15-inch, early 2011
OS X 10.8.2
Fusion 5.0.2
(also, when checking for updates to Fusion via the menu merging, I get a box that says that VMware Fusion could not check the updates. A certificate error for the update server. Check your internet settings - internet bonnefin works very well, since I'm entering this post on the same computer.)
I worked with KarriC offline to understand the panic of the host. It turns out that we have a solution already in place to answer the question; It will be delivered in the future updates to the merger.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation, KarriC!

Kernel Panic after awakening from deep sleep
Hello
I replaced the HDD with a SSD in my Macbook Pro 13 "mid-2012. After installation and restore from Time Machine backup, everytime I open the lid after a long period of time (say from one day to the next, for example) I get a kernel panic. I also maxed out the RAM, but it was before all this.
Can someone help me?
Here's the report I get after the reboot.

What happens when you install the RAM of origin? Stop the panic?
Ciao.

Can someone tell me why I got a Kernel Panic? I picked up my computer while he was on the sector, the bottom was hot. Open the cover, and it's a black screen (no display). I had to hold down the power button to stop it.
The only thing I can think has changed in a few days is I installed the update to El Capitan 10.11.6. Otherwise, it's no problem to have. In my opinion, it's the first kernel panic that I never had on the Mac in the last year or so I got it.
Any ideas? Thank you, in advance.

I had a several times random kernel panics. I asked the cover of my MBP and I thought he went to sleep. When I tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't start until I plugged in the AC adapter. Then he hit me with the infamous kernel panic message.
This is the report that was generated. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

You do not have third party kernel extensions, so the problem is probably a hardware failure. Take it to an Apple Store for analysis. It is best to make an appointment with the Genius Bar.

Launch the application causes a kernel panic and reboot shortly after hitting the screen to start the machine. It started immediately after the update from Adobe. End worked before updating. Now, the machine restarts on the launch of the application each time. Seen the same behavior on 10.11.5 and the previous version of the Nvidia driver.
