key "n" and space causing the cursor jump

Hello, hope you can help!

I have a samsung laptop running windows 7 pro.  My cursor seems to jump around when I type, but I realized today that it is not random.  When I press the space bar in shortly after the "n" button my cursor will jump to the previous line of text or at the beginning of the line if there is only one line.  As I continue to type, the text is inserted into a word typed previously.

Regardless of the application that I am in (it occurs even as I type this). It also occurs if the word ends in '-ing', '-ns', etc..

If I stop for half a second after typing the "n", then the cursor will not jump when I hit the space bar. "
It's super annoying!  Any ideas?
EDIT: I see others with computers Samsung mobile have encountered this problem.  I also noticed that hitting the SPACEBAR + N gives the same effect as PgUp when I type.

Just do to uninstall it and Device Manager the keyboard. When the computer reboots, it will reinstall and work properly.

Just a guess, you could have a setting on a place where some keys move the mouse. That would be used in the case that you do not have a mouse.

Other that I can't help you much. If you are using a desktop computer, try to unplug the mouse and see what happens. If you're on a laptop, it could be that the trackpad is having problems.

    Hello

    Laptop?

Check with the manufacturer of system support, documentation in line, or forums as there
probably are shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with)
Entries of TouchPad) and some have a utility that loads in the Notification area near clock on
at the bottom right. There "may" be the sensitivity settings.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work) try to update
    the driver for the TouchPad.

Panel of configuration-Device Manager - mice and pointing devices - Double click on touch pad
-Pilot Tab - click on Update Driver (which is may not make anything like MS is far behind certifying)
(drivers), now right CLICK on the touchpad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in).
    RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad
    of work.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear
the device if it is present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

This utility also allows to control the TouchPad:

    I hope this helps.

    wendyjjll,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

Most likely, the problem is due to the sensitivity of your touchpad.  Whenever you type, your thumb probably affects the touchpad with the cursor to another location where you type.  You can set the sensitivity of your touchpad, or turn off the tapping by going into settings start, Control Panel, mouse and keyboard.  If it is not under that, the manufacturer of the laptop most likely installed custom software to control the touchpad.  Let us know what kind of cell phone, brand and model, and we will be able to help you.

I found that when typing, my wrist is sometimes contact with the touchpad causing the cursor to jump on.  Something specific on how you type 'you' might make your wrist touch the touchpad.  If this is your case, there is a program called 'touchfreeze' which disables the touchpad while you type.

  • Typos, the cursor jumps around.

    Hello

IM using Dell (Dell Touch Pad) laptop computer with windows operating system - Vista Home Basic.

My problem is that I can't type anything permanently as my cursor jumps towards the left side of the track on top, thus creating the typos or typing. This is the case for all programs of n of application like word, chat IM etc...

Please help me solve this problem.

    Thanks & best regards,

    Jose

The highest probability is that you don't accidentally touch the TouchPad while you type and who moves the cursor.  This happened to me until I bought a laser mouse and disable the Touchpad - then the problem has disappeared.  If you don't want a separate mouse, you may need to change the posistion of your hands while you type to avoid the problem.

Check the Dell website with your product key to see if they have new Touchpad drivers available (I just got one recently for my Dell).  I can't tell what the options in the menu start / Control Panel / mouse will be after the installation of your new driver because I have a menu controlled by separate mouse, but it may be an option to disable the TouchPad while you are typing - if so, check and see if that helps (it can't hurt to try).

If the above does not work, I suggest that you contact Dell Technical Support: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/contact_technical_support?c=us&l=en&s=dhs& ~ ck = anavml and see if they can offer suggestions or if they know how to disable the touchpad while typing.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • When you type the text, be it in Word on the e-mail message, the cursor jumps or segmet of the text disappears

When entering text, the cursor jumps, causing the text segment to be often lost or misplaced.  Occurs during the preparation of Word file, but also in E-mail mode

Laptop with a touchscreen, by chance?  Easy to do on a laptop as if tapping is enabled on the touchpad; your hands can easiy brush the touchpad causing the cursor to move and position of entry to change.

  • Satellite A100-165; while typing the cursor jumps to the other place

    Hello

When I write with the keyboard sometimes the cursor jumps to another location.
Just this moment, he jumped at the entrance of 'topic' of wire.
    It's pretty random where he jumps but very annoying, I'm running a Toshiba satellite a100 165;

Anyone got any ideas of what this could be?

    Hello

    I had the same problem
I t has not noticed that I touched the surface of touchpad accidentally while typing.
This is the reason why the cursor jumped.

You can disable the touch pad using the FN + F9 key combination

In addition the BIOS update would also be desirable.

    Good bye

  • When you type, the cursor jumps around. How can I correct this situation?

When you type, the cursor jumps around.  How can I correct this situation?

It is a very common problem when users become familiar with a new laptop. Either your palm/wrist/cuff/bracelet is touching the touchpad as you type or the touch pad sensitivity is set too high and reacts to strong strikes.
    • Someone to watch you while you type to see if you accidentally touch touchpad of the notebook.
    • Go to the control panel mouse configuration and reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad.
    • Make sure you use the latest version of the driver from the manufacturer of the laptop for the touchpad and update if a new becomes available.
    • Disable the touchpad entirely in favor of a wireless laptop mouse.
As noted previously, this is a very common problem and users are usually completely unaware they do even when it is pointed out to them.
  • When scrolling down using the touchpad, the cursor jumps to the back arrow

Hi, could someone tell me why when I use my touchpad, I move the cursor over the arrow down to scroll down and sometimes the cursor jumps on the back button on the screen and goes back one screen and I lose what I'm getting?

Thank you.  I understand.  I went to the mouse and then to the touchpad device settings and I was able to change.  They were called corner buttons.  They function as shortcuts to different things on each corner of the touchpad.  I disabled it.

  • Why the cursor jump to other places when you type?

When you type, the cursor jumps to other lines or words, sometimes jumps 2 or 3 lines.  In addition, when you use arrow down, he jumps at the end of the page, instead of 2 or 3 lines of scrolling.

Operating system is Vista, SP2, Dell Vostro A860.  Problem occurs especially during the seizure of the e-mail program.  I don't remember not all changes made on the PC, however, suddenly it was happening more often, so could increase after having chosen the system restore to return to a different restore point.  After the announcement of this issue, I've seen in many cases of this problem in the Microsoft Forums and after those suggestions concerning the sensitivity of the touchpad, I changed the sessions for Tablet and I think my problem is resolved.
