When you type the text, be it in Word on the e-mail message, the cursor jumps or segmet of the text disappears

When entering text, the cursor jumps, causing the text segment to be often lost or misplaced.  Occurs during the preparation of Word file, but also in E-mail mode

find it hard to imagine that Apple could sell these defective products.

If the seller is an authorized Apple reseller, an independent company,

You may need to ask you if you could see & try a different product sample

because you might be looking at something that has a defect.

{According to the related help page, Type position should be more

    stable to use. However if the keyboard is not flat, this sounds like default.}

Sounds as if you're not at the official Apple Store (apple retailer)

but, on the contrary, are somewhere else. Could you give more information?

Some keyboard accessories are made by third party companies; so

If the product has an Apple product model number, we note here.

When considering the purchase of an accessory, it's a good idea to test

and check in the store before you buy. An official Apple Store has

a different return policy as an independent reseller of Apple.

Don't know if I can be useful; These chat rooms are usually Apple

users of products such as yourself, who have taken their unpaid time

to see if they can help the other users of the product.

  • When you type, the cursor jumps around. How can I correct this situation?

When you type, the cursor jumps around.  How can I correct this situation?

It is a very common problem when users become familiar with a new laptop. Either your palm/wrist/cuff/bracelet is touching the touchpad as you type or the touch pad sensitivity is set too high and reacts to strong strikes.
    • Someone to watch you while you type to see if you accidentally touch touchpad of the notebook.
    • Go to the control panel mouse configuration and reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad.
    • Make sure you use the latest version of the driver from the manufacturer of the laptop for the touchpad and update if a new becomes available.
    • Disable the touchpad entirely in favor of a wireless laptop mouse.
As noted previously, this is a very common problem and users are usually completely unaware they do even when it is pointed out to them.
  • The cursor moves randomly when you type the new e-mail message

When I type an e-mail message in Windows Live Mail, the cursor will suddenly be at the beginning of my message, or maybe in the middle of a Word.  I don't know if I'm a touch that I'm not aware of, or if I have a fault with my keyboard.

    Hello lobelia 3206,.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

Since you're on a laptop, I suppose that you have a right of trackpad under the keyboard. It may be that you hit the trackpad with your wrist or Palm when you type.

Try to change the sensitivity of the mouse and see if that helps or if you have a setting to disable the trackpad when you type. I have

Click Start, control panel and select slider and change your settings in there...

I don't know where the settings would be for the Compaq Presario but you can always check with the manufacturer to get the correct settings for your laptop.

    I hope this helps.

When I open a new tab in Firefox 13 and start typing a URL in the address bar, this creature automatically attempts to load some content already available based on the typical part URL and my history of site navigation. In most cases, this feature is very annoying. For example the tr to open http://www.broadband-forum.org/marketing/download/mktgdocs/MR-238.pdf and after that to visit http://market.yandex.ru.

How to turn off this feature wicked for this creature?

  • When you type the body of the e-mail, it is invisible

When you try to type a new e-mail message, I can type in the address, subject, but when I try to type in the body of the email, it is invisible, nothing there, but if I highlight, it appears, but it goes away after it is not highlighted more. I can answer emails ok, just no new type.

What kind of email service do you use? Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail? If none of these, thanks for posting the link to the site where you enter your emails.

This does not seem normal at all well.

Alternatively, you can try to disable your addons in the Help menu:

Help > restart with disabled modules

Which will restart Firefox with disabled modules. Then connect to your email and try to type again. If the problem has disappeared, trying to figure out what addon is causing the problem by going on Firefox button > Modules or Tools > Add-ons -, by selecting an addon both then choose Activate then click the choice to restart now , when it appears.

Don't forget to keep logging into your address email to test the typing of the body in the email after each add-on you back on.

If you find the add-on that caused it, please let us know here so we can warn others. Thank you.

  • When I type, or copy and paste a URL in an e-mail message, how can I keep just like a URL and there not create this image with embedded links?

My question pretty well describes the problem.

I found a work around. 1 type any letter and then immediately following the letter (without space), type the URL or paste a URL address, and then remove the main letter.

  • Address bar loses focus when you type the url or search terms

I type a URL or a search query in the address bar. Following is a list of suggestions (from recent history, bookmarks, etc.).

As soon as I type a character which translates by my current url/search string is not found in the list of suggestions, the list goes - and this, the keyboard focus. The focus seems to go nowhere this - I continue to type, and the characters do not appear in the address bar.

I then have to click on the address bar and retype the characters that have been lost during the update went.

For someone who sails with the location bar regularly, this made the location almost unusable.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • When you look in the Explorer, there are hidden folders, but when you type the location in the address bar, see the files/folders

Personally, I am frustrated to discover file that are currently hidden by vista.

For example my temporary Internet folder located in my Temp folder

If I open Explorer and browser to the Temp folder is empty - no doubt.   It doesn't even have a drop down menu arrow to indicate that the Temp folder has all the data inside.

But if I type in the Address bar D:\Temp\Temporary Internet folder, it will appear with all internet data inside the it - except for the index.dat file.  The index.dat file does not appear, even if I have a cleaning program story who insists he's here...

Subsequently, if I close the browser and reopen it in the Temp directory the temporary Internet folder is still invisiable.

I checked and rechecked all over the place and the cant "find any feature that dictates why this file is hidden and not accessible to me.

If anyone has any ideas about this phenomenon?

What worries me the most is that I (as most people can have too) have hundreds, maybe thousands of records.   Now, I wonder what are those who also hid Vista.

    Hello

Your question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for Windows Vista on TechNet. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows Forums.

  • Problems with the cursor when you type

I don't know if it's something in Vista, but I have terrible problems in Word and when typing emails. I can touch type and normal type without looking at the screen. However, I find when I look at the screen, the cursor inexplicably himself stuck about4-6 rear lines and hit the last piece in the middle of the existing text. In fact it just happened again - when I type ing he climbed to the title: why!

I feel responsible because I don't get it in the older microsoft software that I use at work and it has never done in internet cafes - didn't have it a few months, but it drives me crazy: why it does this?

Patjom, make sure that you do not have to hide when you type the value of the mouse pointer. Here are the steps:

Open mouse by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking hardware, and then clicking on the mouse.
Click the Pointer Options tab, and then do one of the following:
Uncheck the Hide pointer while typing Rami

  • Why the cursor jump to other places when you type?

When you type, the cursor jumps to other lines or words, sometimes jumps 2 or 3 lines.  In addition, when you use arrow down, he jumps at the end of the page, instead of 2 or 3 lines of scrolling.

Operating system is Vista, SP2, Dell Vostro A860.  Problem occurs especially during the seizure of the e-mail program.  I don't remember not all changes made on the PC, however, suddenly it was happening more often, so could increase after having chosen the system restore to return to a different restore point.  After the announcement of this issue, I've seen in many cases of this problem in the Microsoft Forums and after those suggestions concerning the sensitivity of the touchpad, I changed the sessions for Tablet and I think my problem is resolved.
