Key remapping modifier question

If under OSX, I have my key command and control bartered (via system-> keyboard-> keys preferences..) VMWare Fusion eventually swap as well and I can not disable this option.  In others in my VM my control key now acts as a control key.  How can I turn this off?

If I don't have command and control keys exchanged in OSX VMWare has correctly mapped to the control of control.

Ideally what I want, this is the 'control' key works as a key 'Command' under OSX and for the 'control' key 'control' use in virtual machines.  I tried to disable the mergers VMWare key mappings, but this has no effect on this problem.

Thank you

He has a way.

Add a new keyboard & mouse profile and assign it to your virtual machines.

In the new profile, add the mappings of keys like this:

1. from control command

2. Windows key command from.

  • Code keyboard, keys remapping?

    Hello

    My old laptop keyboard took a dive the and has stopped working (it is also a few missing keys) so I ordered a replacement from the manufacturer keyboard. When he came, the letters were scrambled (as my 'A' key 'W' and stuff like that). It's very annoying. I uninstalled and reinstalled the necessary drivers, made sure that my keyboard language was correct, made sure the "NUM" key was not on, everything. Is there a way I can just remap the keys in Windows 7?

    Hi Morowyn,

    1. What is the brand and model of the keyboard?
    2. what happens with all the documents you type (Ex: Microsoft Word, Notepad)?

    You can try to check if the keys work properly using the on-screen keyboard.

    Steps to start the on-screen keyboard on:

    1. click on start.

    2. open the control panel (Classic view).

    3. click on ease of access Center.

    4. click on on-screen keyboard

    Also, you can open Notepad or Word pad and check if it works very well.

    Also I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and check if it works very well.  To boot to the desktop in safe mode keep tapping key F8 during restart. Once you see the option to start in safe mode select and press to enter.

    Access the link to learn more about how to start the computer in safe mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

  • Forward slash key typing the question mark in the document Word 2013

    My keyboard is configured for English only, but in the past few months I started having this problem where, when I hit the (tiny) slash key, I get a question mark instead (please print, same key). This occurs only in a word 2013 document. I don't have this problem with Notepad or in sticky notes. The same thing happens with the slash on my keyboard key. Any thoughts?

    Are there opportunities to achieve? When I app.alert "hits" or "modifiers" property, it always returns false. Any chance of detecting if and probably even (modifier) key has been pressed when you click on the button?

    To detect the shift, use event.shift. See the documentation for more information: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.604.html

  • Key Windows 8 question

    Here's my problem.  Windows 8 is preinstalled on my computer; However, I accidentally deleted the Windows 8 key from the bios, and now Windows asks me to enter the correct key.  Since nothing is more a sticker with the key supplied with the computer, I have no way to find the key.  HP retains a record of the key containing the tag for the serial number?  Or am I just bad luck?

    I called HP Support about it and they told me to get the key on the CD that was included with the computer.  When I told her that there is no CD, he said that I had bought a mascarading of the computer used as new because all their computers are provided with the Windows CD.  When I disputed this he said Microsoft might solve the problem for me.  Microsoft said that HP could solve it.  Can someone help me?  I'd rather not spend any money on the purchase of Windows 8

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

    HP does not keep records of the issued keys.  HP also is not delivered Windows CD with computers unless they have been expressly ordered.  If you somehow deleted the key then you are out of luck, sorry.

  • Product key Windows 7 questions.

    We have now installed windows 7 Home premium on three of our computers. and we installed on the third at the moment 30 days ago and by some strange reason we type the key product again. and when we use the P key - we receive this message "to get a new license. One of the Microsoft Staff can help us, but any help is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    -Cordially dhask

    If you use the same product key on all computers, you're violating the terms of the license agreement. You can use the 1 key by compuetr only. In other words, you must 1 windows 7 per computer.

    There used to be a pack 3 for 3 computers, but this is no longer supported. If you have just 1 upgrade or full version 1, your systems will be stopped. Ron

  • DSLR Chroma Keying? Basic question.

    Hi, I use a Nikon DSLR (D3300) to shoot videos of the green screen and keying in After Effects / Keylight. So far, it looks great, but I heard that it's even better work around the card SD and direct key?

    Is it possible to just tie my camera to the laptop and save my video to that instead of having this tablet on the SD card? But not sure.

    Thank you.

    You're right: DSLR compresses the snot out of video, and you will get a key more beautiful if you can Dodge goes to the card.  But YOUR camera can go an external recorder?  I would ask the forum first Pro - these guys may have more experience with it.

    Or you can ask the digital SLR Forum of the Creative COW: they would certainly be able to help.  It depends on the individual device if it is still possible.

    Now, you CAN get an acceptable key using sequences DSLR.  But a really great touch?  Nope.

  • KEY value modified by javax.smartcardio?

    Hello

    I encountered a problem.

    I got a cap card manufacturer, and I loaded it in the card properly.
    When I send the following APDU command to map by smartcardio java, I got the answer of 6E00 (invalid Class).

    But, when I used another card reader dll (C++) and send the APDU even on the same card, I got the 9000.

    So, I use a usb monitor software (USBTrace) to seek what was sent to the javax.smartcardio card and I found CLA of the last command has been replaced by 0 x 14...

    Finally, I found that it was changed to javax.smartcardio (j2pcsc?).

    My question is about the definition of the CLA.

    CLA = 0 x 54 is not a valid value? or java impl obeys other CLA?

    I do not want to load another dll and use native method to reslove this problem so that a command because of my application is written in java, and there are a lot of card operation before.5401 is the last command...

    Can someone tell me I was doing wrong or what am I I miss?

  • Questions (MS Sculpt Ergo) keyboard: Windows key, Double letters

    I was using an ergonomic keyboard Sculpt Microsoft and mouse for a few months now on Windows 7 running on my computer (iMac in Bootcamp) with no problems until yesterday.  I brought to the top of the keyboard on the screen and the issues I found are the following:

    1. the windows key often seems to be pressed (always with the two shift keys), leading to questions disappearing actually press the Windows key (but refer to chance).

    2. often, while typing some letters will appear twice, it seems that some letters (e, t, h) more than others, but I can't say for sure.

    3. the above questions also shows where I could type a word (for example the combination) and it doubles as a series of letters (ex: combinatioion) or add a letter I typed just after the space I typed (ex: where e).

    4. certain combinations of letter/key (SHIFT + V) do not work, so I can't type a capital "v" without using the on screen keyboard.

    I tried the following things to resolve this, so far without success:

    A. replacement of the batteries in the keyboard.

    B. restart the computer.

    C. blow off dust keys of (the room was clean and did not have whatever it is spilled on it).

    D. removing the Windows and verification key to remove the dirt or anything that might be the cause to push.

    I would appreciate any input, the keyboard is new enough, I can see to have replace if necessary, but I thought I'd check and see if anyone had ideas of software/driver to try first.

    is the shift downwards: false
    CTRL is down: true
    ALT is down: false
    Meta is declining: false
    is the shortcut to the bottom: true

    [ALT + exit button]
    Handle - KeyEvent [source = javafx.stage.Stage@127c376a, target is ComboBox [id = mappingCB styleClass = list box combo-box-base], eventType = KEY_TYPED, consumed = false, the character = d = text, code = not DEFINED, altDown]

    CTRL is down: false

    Meta is declining: false
    is the shortcut to the bottom: false

    Thank you

    So in this case, you will need to implement more complex logic. I don't think he'd be as complex as the implementation of timers, etc., however.

    For example:

    private boolean ignoreControlRelease = false ;

    ...

    scene.setOnKeyReleased(new EventHandler() {
      @Override
      public void handle(KeyEvent event) {
         KeyCode code = event.getCode();
         if (code==KeyCode.CONTROL && ! ignoreControlRelease) {
           // process control key (on its own)
         } else if (event.isControlDown()) {
           ignoreControlRelease = true ;
           // process control + code ...
         } else {
           ignoreControlRelease = false ;
         }
      }
    });

    and similarly for the other modifier keys.

  • Problem with keyboard: some keys return two, not one, characters

    I have a MacBook Air 11 '' mid-2012 128 GB SSD model running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and my keyboard has developed a strange problem occultation key repeat.  Whenever you press the "3" button, the system generates thus simultaneously a '3' and '6 '.  This motif is repeated this diagonal of the keyboard down, i.e.

    '3' generates a '3' and '6 '.

    'e' generates an 'e' and a 'y '.

    "d" generates a "d" and an "h".

    'c' generates a 'c' and a "n".

    The reverse is also true, that is, a '6' generates a '3' and so on.  Curiously, the sign '=' generates a character "§" as well, a special character generated by keeping down option and pressing "6".

    (This combo generates a ' § ' and a ' £', hidden under the '3'.)

    The same problem occurs when you use the Shift or Control keys as modifiers.

    I can work around the problem by using either a connection wireless Bluetooth or wired USB keyboard (like using the "Keyboard Viewer" option under "System Preferences"), but that kind of defeats the point of having a laptop as a MacBook Air, Yes?  The problem is intermittent, but becomes very annoying.  (Try to type a password with such a mess!) It sounds like a mechanical problem requiring a possible replacement of the sale wholesale (and), but I hope someone out there can have a software or another solution.  Thank you!

    That certainly points to make it a hardware problem.  It is difficult to imagine a software problem that would not affect both internal and external keyboards.

    I saw several other posts on different forums for exactly the same combination of keys.

    I have a Satellite Pro C650.

    You can use the external USB keyboard properly?
    If you haven't noticed the same problems with the external keyboard, then I would recommend replacement of the internal keyboard.
