Key Windows 8 question
Here's my problem. Windows 8 is preinstalled on my computer; However, I accidentally deleted the Windows 8 key from the bios, and now Windows asks me to enter the correct key. Since nothing is more a sticker with the key supplied with the computer, I have no way to find the key. HP retains a record of the key containing the tag for the serial number? Or am I just bad luck?
I called HP Support about it and they told me to get the key on the CD that was included with the computer. When I told her that there is no CD, he said that I had bought a mascarading of the computer used as new because all their computers are provided with the Windows CD. When I disputed this he said Microsoft might solve the problem for me. Microsoft said that HP could solve it. Can someone help me? I'd rather not spend any money on the purchase of Windows 8
Thanks in advance,
Mike
HP does not keep records of the issued keys. HP also is not delivered Windows CD with computers unless they have been expressly ordered. If you somehow deleted the key then you are out of luck, sorry.

Product key Windows 7 questions.
We have now installed windows 7 Home premium on three of our computers. and we installed on the third at the moment 30 days ago and by some strange reason we type the key product again. and when we use the P key - we receive this message "to get a new license. One of the Microsoft Staff can help us, but any help is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

If you use the same product key on all computers, you're violating the terms of the license agreement. You can use the 1 key by compuetr only. In other words, you must 1 windows 7 per computer.
There used to be a pack 3 for 3 computers, but this is no longer supported. If you have just 1 upgrade or full version 1, your systems will be stopped. Ron

Key Windows for Satellite C870D - 11L
Hello
Before ordering the dvd of this laptop recovery because it has not been established in the start-up and the partition on the HARD drive no longer exists, I have a question that concerns me greatly.
Key Windows 8 for installation and activation of it is embedded on the dvd that we order?
Because I can find no Windows 8 key on the laptop or documents delivered with it.Otherwise where normally located this key?
Because I didn't order a dvd if I have to buy a Windows 8.
Thanks in advance for your clarification of the future.> Windows 8 key for installation and activation of it is embedded on the dvd that we order?
Yes. When you install original recovery image designed for your laptop model, you will have legal and enabled OS version.
> Because I find no Windows 8 key on the laptop or documents delivered with it.
You don't need it. It is implemented in the recovery image. You can install original recovery image 100 times and each time it will be correctly activated and you have OS version.
> Otherwise where normally located this key?
> Because I didn't order a dvd if I have to buy a Windows 8.
If you do not want to use the original installation disc of recovery, you can use the Microsoft installation disk but in this case, Toshiba has nothing to do with the activation. Valid product key, you must purchase from Microsoft. If you have any other questions you are welcome.

Sticker with the product key Windows under the laptop is unreadable
Hello Toshiba Help Center
Please help me solve this problem

I now want to reinstall Windows and completely format the hard drive - however, the sticker with the product key Windows under the laptop is unreadable. So what I did... I formatted my laptop for windows 7 and after a few months, I want to recover my product key and install windows vista pre - with the original product key that sound now
unreadable...Is it possible to get it back by, my laptop series No, or...
Best regards, TOSHIBA
IM bluebird.jeffHello, Jeff
At first, I must say that it is not toshiba Help Center, but user forum created by Toshiba, so if you wait for the response from Toshiba people here you are in the wrong place.
In any case, in this forum, you can pick up some very useful information and a lot of people here can help you with your problems.Return to described the issue.
Unfortunately you do not understand how it works with the product key and Windows Setup, so I'll try to help you with this.
Each computer toshiba laptop comes with preinstalled operating system (recovery image) and the product key at the bottom of your laptop belongs to this version. With other words: when you buy the new laptop, you have to pay for hardware, operating system and a license for this preinstalled OS. Product key at the bottom is not a kind of universal product key and cannot be used for activation of another version of Windows. You can use the delivered Toshiba recovery disc that contains mage replicated several times and each time you will have activated the operating system. When you use the Microsoft disk for the installation of the OS you must have valid product key which belongs to this particular version.
In your case product key is for Vista, and you cannot use it for Win7 activation. This product key is... unnecessary.
If you have any other questions you are welcome.

Where can I find my product key Windows 7?
I have an old gateway computer and I have upgraded to windows 10 7 I want to go back to 7 but no longer have the product key number that is preinstalled with this computer. I tried to contact the bridge but my warranty went. Is there a way I can download windows 7 or a way to find my product key. I don't have a return to the top.
Your only option is to:

2. request the recovery of gateway for your computer media, and then use it to reinstall Windows 7. This exempts by using a product key:

I installed the Windows 10 Insider overview to my HP Jet 7 from a USB key. When the RTM has been released, I also installed it from a USB key.
10 Windows RTM requires a key (the preview of the Insider has never made). I obviously don't have a Windows 10 key, and since I upgraded from the preview of the Insider instead of Windows 8.1, I don't see why he couldn't find my key Windows 8.1.
I tried to roll back to 8.1, but my only recovery option is to repair/restore Windows 10, so I think that the preview of the insider or the RTM annihilated my recovery partition.
Of course, I paid for the OS when I bought the Tablet, then, what are my options?
The license key is actually stored on the card each flow 7 system, not in the 8.1 Windows with the recovery of Bing image.

My key Windows VistaTM Starter will not work
My laptop was bought after 3 years... and now I'm fighting through activation problems.
When it is freshly installed by my uncle (in fact it has just changed), a technician was there to set up our component; He saw my notebook and asked if he wants me to degrade to XP because Vista is slow... since I'm naïve at this point, I just said yes, not knowing that my uncle made a lot of changes to the laptop. For about 1 year, I went through different reformat (after degradation 1 time, I asked him to update back); up to 1 times my license key has stopped working. It's a key Windows VistaTM Starter legitimate , I asked some elderly parents w / knowledge to my problem and said it could be that someone stole my key.I said 'No' because the key is known only to me and to the technician. I don't know if it uses it or what, but I can't activate it.My laptop does not now, and he's going to need someone to fix soon... but here is some information that might help:- I have the media recovery disk, all the stuff for Windows Vista and the LG drive (where you can install display, sound drivers etc..).
- The laptop model is LG RD405.
I hope someone could help me. PS; the call of my country cost much so I can't take the phone option especially since I have a bit in hearing deficit... and my position is on the Philippines. To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.
To copy the report in your response, click the button copy in the tool (ignore the error at this stage), and then paste (using r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your response.
-* in your own thread *, pleasePlease also state the Version and edition of Windows cited on your COA sticker (if you a) in the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but does NOT quote the key on the sticker!

I LOST MY WINDOW 7 Home Basic PRODUCT KEY, HOW CAN I FIND this.
If your computer is pre-installed with Windows 7 Home Basic Edition:
Look for the COA product key:
COA certificate of authenticity:
http://www.Microsoft.com/howtotell/content.aspx?PG=COA
What is the certificate of authenticity for Windows?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-the-Windows-certificate-of-authenticity
Option 1:
If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.
Option 2:
If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.
Option 3:
If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.
New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For Dell, press F8 on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device
For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward
For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...
For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power
Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".
