• How to stop Windows Update to take keyboard focus, when you are asked "do you want to restart now?

  Windows Update often wants to restart the computer after an update.  If you say "not now" (or ignore?), he will later pop up a question "reboot now?" in a bubble of task bar.  INCREDIBLY, it will at that time take keyboard focus of everything that happens and then accept what he gets as a response from the user.  This means that if the user was in the middle of typing something, the following sequence of keys will enter the bubble "you want to restart" instead of some request the user was in the middle of the help.  It's very bad.

  You aren't the first person to complain about this and I'm sure you won't be the last. According to Microsoft, you have two options:

  1 use an automatic updates setting other Automatic (for example, download updates but let me choose whether to install them). or...

  2. turn off the automatic updates and get your updates manually (which I don't recommend).

  I'm developing an application for a touch screen computer. Under windows, when you have a touch screen text area when given focus happened upward with a small icon to bring up the on-screen keyboard.
  
  I would like that to happen in our java application. I don't think that there is a feature like this built in and I think I could imitate if I could just give one-screen-keyboard focus of Java Windows. Does anyone know how to give a focus to window not java?
  
  I thought that it would be possible to do it from a batch file that java could then run or something if I can't do it from java directly.

  Suggestion: what happens if you create your own virtual keyboard using Java? Shouldn't be too hard, and then you have a pure solution of Java cross-platform, instead of having to resort to hacks like running batch scripts.

  Alternatively, you can look into the creation of a native DLL that can do what you want and then call by JNA. You essentially have a simple API to send windows messages, because it is the way you control the keyboard. This page can help you, it contains same sample Java code:

  I have a sub - VI that is called automatically to the top in many situations in my main VI.  Essentially, the user could use the mouse to interact with him, but I also want the user to have the ability to use the keyboard.  There are control only one string (called display) that the user can type in, and everything I want to do is for the 'focus' on her keyboard so that the user can type into it without first having to click on it.  Is this possible and if so, how?  I tried and so far failed.

  I also have another question about the attached VI.   You'll notice that I use two local variables for the above chain control.  I tried to eliminate the possible race conditions, but always wonder if there is a medium or even necessary to get rid of them.  Please notify.

• for debugger, shortcut moves keyboard focus to the component source from research

  I'm in the debugger and use the search function to find a definition of the function by pressing ctrl + d. I select the function definition.
  It works great so far, but the focus of the cursor is always in the search window. In general, I now want to set the focus on the source pane (so I can scroll, set breakpoints, etc.). However, I can't find a shortcut to the source window. Y at - it a shortcut or other quick way without using the mouse?

• Mouse and keyboard focus consistent shortcuts?

  Is there a particular reason or feature that I couldn't be in the know, why when I use the SHIFT key to open a new link (SHIFT + MWB) so new tab being focused behaves opposite somehow when I use the button "go back a page" (the previous page in the new tab being does NOT if I use the same way ", the SHIFT key)?

  Furthermore, I can't use all focusing on the context menu of the selected text to search with the default search engine.

  My style of editing frequently involves using the hotkeys (SHIFT 1, 2, 3) to change the interface panels.  However, I've found that the development of offset and following this with the help of the tilde key to maximize the selected pane do not work.  The previously selected Panel always maximizes instead of the just-selected Panel.

  First: My advice is "don't do that!"  Development of control tab is normal behavior in windows.  Space bar is another thing that space is abnormal - in fact, those of us who don't use auto-outil selection are called 'Tabbers' not 'spacers' even if the space bar performs a function of scrolling simillar tool!  Most 'Tabbers' don't even know that because the tab is more consistent with the 'Normal' applications  Select a key and hold that is already filled in the desired control key navigation properties tab.

  Now, after hearing this advice, you still feel you MUST redirect the bar of space you can hack the enum which fills the property drop-down editor.  But I highly recommend.  Best, talk to users and get their 'Story' on how they would have ideally to navigate the user interface with a frank discussion about their experiences with other applications and that this application can help.

  Muse assigns values to index tab in a 'left to right', then order "top to bottom". Then tab order should follow the same regardless of the creation of fields or placement in design mode.

  I use the UIShell taking the dynamic concept of tab. Here, I need to give the keyboard focus navigation, and navigation between dynamic tabs. I have given in providing access key concept, in sending the title of label (workflow) above with the & and the title displayed by the textAndAccesKey attribute. But in the concept of the tab dynamic, I shouldn't use it, since h allowing the user can open the same workflow more than once (with only accesskey that several tabs will be there). is there any other possibility of quick access without using the concept of accesskey as how will IE tab navigation, and Mozilla works by pressing CTRL + TAB.

• control keyboard to scroll through the window of the observer?

  I use the current version of mail.app (9.3) in OS X 10.11.5 (El Capitan).

  I would like to be able to do basic operations of reading email with the keyboard controls.    There are keyboard shortcuts to create new messages, reply to or delete messages, move up/down in the list of messages in the message list pane, etc.   That's great.   But for most common task of simply read messages, support for the default is keyboard commands.

  In previous versions of Mail.app, I could use the arrow keys to move through the message list window and I couldn't use the previous page and next page controls (up arrow fn and fn-Basel on macbook pro keyboard) to scroll the message up and down view pane.   It was also possible to scroll up/down in message window using the space space and shift.   The page-up/page-down and SPACEBAR space/shift conform to the General conventions of Mac, including Safari.

  In El Capitan, it seems that this feature has been removed.  Instead, previous page and next page just cause scroll through the message list window.   Space does nothing.   A work around of all kinds is to hit the tab to move the keyboard focus in the list of messages display message, followed by commands to scroll, and then either hit tab twice or press shift + tab (but no space or shift-space) to focus back to the list of messages again.    It is not practical for an operation that I easily hundreds of times every day.

  Anyone has any ideas it is possible to restore the former function?   Hacks like hidden messaging preferences settings?    ... or a way to use the Resource Editor utility (what is the sort of thing even exist anymore?) to modify the application?

  Was it a former function that I have just forgotten or abandoned by Apple?   Or was it a bug or an oversight that it was omitted in the new version?     Doesn't have Apple deemed incompatible with the new directives of the interface?   This feature replaced some other keyboard shortcut that I don't know everything?    Y at - it a 3rd party plugin or something that I can use?   Any ideas would be appreciated.

  Space bar always works for me.

  Opt + arrow up / Dn also works.

  I don't know which would not interfere with these things. Perhaps a third-party app, but I don't know what.

  I had to use the keyboard rather than the mouse or trackpad pretty much recently due to injury. At the closing of the tabs, CTRL + W seems to do. However, it does not always work. It does not work with PDFs and often on YouTube as well.

  What I've read, it's because of the development of collection of plugins. However, isn't there a way to replace it, because it's pretty heavy from the accessibility point of view?

  Hello, in regard to a PDF file, you may want to try the extension pdf.js (there could be still some bugs, but it is under very active development) - it makes PDF files with common web technology & shouldn't trap keyboard focus...
