• Freedom Pro keyboard for blackBerry Smartphones

  I recently bought a freedom Pro keyboard for my Blackberry Storm 9530 smartphone, which is running v5.0... 0,328 (Platform 4.2.0.128). Using the browser on the Blackberry, I logged onto their site otadrivers and downloaded the driver v5.0 for my phone.

  But when I tried to install the driver, I got a message, I thought just information, indicating that permissions were not required to be set for this application. When it was installed and I clicked on the app, it repeats the message and would not go.

  After trying to run the application several times, I finally gave up and tried to delete the app (thought to try to re - install), the icon has not disappeared. But clicking on it now gave me an error of missing handle (like the operating system thought that the application has been deleted.) I tried to re-boot the phone (by removing the battery while the phone is turned on) but nothing has changed and the app did not work.

  What should I do now? I don't really want to clear the memory if I can help it.

  Well, I couldn't understand anything else, so I have deleted all my apps "outside" of the security wiper and then re-installed using the keyboard. Worked like a charm! Don't know how to find out which app has been the cause of the problem tho. Maybe I need to know, but...

  Ah... Well it is a whole different kettle of fish, indeed! I couldn't verify that anything since, in your profile you have listed a bunch of numbers as your company... of invalid data, so I can't check anything at all.

  Further... How the hell would I change the compatibility of your BB? You realize, I hope, that by posting on this forum, you ARE NOT in any way, shape or form supported or even communication with anyone of the RIM, not you? It is a community of users... not an user-to/from-RIM for any communication channel either.

  If you have several things to worry about now...

  If it's the words they used, they are not quite accurate. Any BB can be used on any carrier that is running the same radio frequencies that the BB is capable of (and I have no idea if your in are such). But, to bring you a BB on a carrier network that they don't sell, there are several obstacles to overcome:

  (1) the carrier must say 'yes' to the fact... they are owners of their network and have every right to say what devices will be allowed to connect to it. If they say 'no', then it's the end of it.

  (2) you must be sure that your BB is properly unlocked since its origin manufactured for carrier... see this thread useful for more details:

  (3) you must get all our voices works on the carrier, before you even try anything on data level services

  (4) you must be a subscriber of the carrier, a plan of sufficient data to enable BB exclusive services that you wish to

  5 (a) if the carrier directly supports your specific model BB, then you can proceed to the registration of the BB on their network, generating adequate for your BB service book delivery and treatment of the function.

  5 (b) but, if the carrier does not directly your BB-specific model number, then the challenges are much more that most of the carrier's systems will deliver, for BB, the service books required to enable BB exclusive data services, even if you have subscribed to them.

  So, based on this, your BB may or may not ever any function on this carrier network. It can be quite difficult to achieve, especially if 5 b applies. Then take a look at this and decide how you want to move forward. Most people end up just buying a new BB if 5b applies.

  My BBM has disappeared from the BB app world, even if I type Blackberry Messenger in the search engine of the app world it shows a few apps from third party bt not the BBM real application itself...

  I currently have 6.2.0.56 BBM version and therefore cannot be updated to BBM 7...

  A few weeks ago, BBM is available for download on App world bt, it was still 6.2.0.56 version not BBM 7. .and BBM 7 released by RIM in December. Now its gone compleletly.

  I will stay in India... If BBM 7 not made available to the Indian BB users by RIM? and when it will be available?

  Or there are some issues with App world?

  And also done BB travel works in India coz I know for cards is BB n traffic BB does not.

  The reason is that carriers in India have not agreed to support the voice feature of BBM again.

  You should complain to your mobile service providers.

  My Curve 8900 is less than 6 months old, and suddenly the keyboad won't work, so I can't make/receive calls, and although the trackball works, it won't "click" to unlock. Seems to be an intermittent fault. As I have the Blackberry (it is not purchased via a service provider), I tried to contact customer service for Blackberry UK, who seems reluctant to deal with consumers. My service, O2 have been much more useful. How can I get a warranty repair/replacement, or solve the problem?

  Well, after a WEEK, I'm totally furstrated with Blackberry. They have NO customer service in the United Kingdom, and as I have the BB (not through my mobile service provider, with whom I have a single contract SIM) I could get repair/replacement of parts. the only way I knew solving it had to spend many hours in an O2 store in the United Kingdom (my service provider) who finally had sympathy with me and agreed to sent for repair/replecement. I had one today renovated. It seems that this keyboard problem is common - the guy in the O2 shop showed me a way to fix it temporarily, hold down the ALT and right SHIFT buttons and press the DELETE key twice. This gives the BB a battery quick re-difficulty.

  But I (and all of my colleagues (will now go to the iPhones, which are more reliable and they give better customer service.)) SHAME on Blackberry for their shoddy products and the non-existenet customer service.

  The soft keyboard is ok when I'm traveling. But when I'm home or work from a hotel room, a hardware keyboard would be nice.

  Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BBM do not change the display picture

  I noticed that when I try to change my display picture that does not actually updated in the network. In other words, people still see my old picture instead of the new. Now, it's happening for multiple users on my BBM. I see people update their profile messages complaining that their isn't changing either.

  I thought it was something related to the carrier, but people who use different carriers have complained about the same. Can you please advise or worsen it?

  The problem has been fixed. I can now change my display picture. I guess it was a temporary problem. You can try yours now and try it with a different one that you have your display picture...

  I guess the moral of the story is, if many people with these problems a bit, just wait a bit. the folks at RIM will be noticed & repair.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BBM deleted not being not able to download

  HII, I have the Curve 8520 with OS 5. I tried to upgrade my BBM when because of an emergency, I had to cancel the download. After that the BBM worked well for as 15hours. It was when I tried to open a BBM group which was shown a restart option. I rebooted after what uninstalled the entire application. I can't find it on the app world. Or when I am trying to reinstal it is installing. It displays an error. Everything else works fine. Can you people suggest a solution or give the name and address of the nearest BB service center in Delhi. Thank you!!

• Virtual keyboard for blackBerry Smartphones / Auto Screen Orientation Torch 9800

  Hi all

  I have a Torch 9800 (OS 6 2534 on network three UK) and often the screen does not auto rotation (when the phone is rotated 90 degrees) and the virtual keyboard is grayed out in the messaging and BBM. If sometimes seems again (seems random) and after a power off. The physical keyboard is not extended and locked.

  Anyone know of a fix or a workaround to ensure that VK and auto screen rotate reliable works?

  Contact them and tell them that you want to use the internet and the AppWorld on your 9810.

  Hi I just got a Curve 3 G and made a dataplan and get all applications except for the BBM I invited people nd people invite me, but nothing reaches both sides? Am I missing something?

  If you have a data plan in which every other BlackBerry feature works correctly, BBM should be included in it.  If such a plan exists where you pay separately for BBM, I have not heard of him.

  You should return the service on your phone directories to make sure that your BlackBerry knows how to handle correctly the BBM.  The article below describes how to do this.

  I was very unhappy to know the same thing, but I found it finally available!

  Go to settings > language & entry > BlackBerry keyboard settings > input languages > unable 'to use the language of the system' and down select all languages you like including Arabic!

  Hello, I have a Blackberry Torch 9810 and when I connect it to my Windows 7 laptop. device is detected by the computer, and I am able to access all my files, & add/remove files as I want. However, when I use Blackberry Desktop manager or BBSAK, or run the Application Loader. the three programs cannot detect the device. When you use the Application Loader, where it should say "COM1" or "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN", it's white, & you can't select anything. I'm trying to do two things. Number one: back up my data device & apps; and number two: reload the new OS on the device. -Have you already uninstalled/re-installed Blackberry Destop Manager 7.1 - have installed the USB drivers & modem-(ordinateur n'a aucun problème de détection de périphérique, & me pour accéder àles données de l'appareil) - have already uninstalled/re-installed device Blackberry-device manager is BB Torch 9810; Software is 7.1 Bundle 1997 (v7.1.0.694, platform 5.1.0.507) any suggestions would be appreciated...   It begins with a process to start properly, and there is an exchange of views. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work... but it worked to much to solve the problems they have. You could add to it the use of Revo or another tool to remove own software... There are cases where things are left behind, and if they are corrupt, they can prevent the resettlement work correctly. The goal is to completely, remove from your PC, everything that is in no way, shape, or form associated with BB (registry entries, ignored of records, etc.).
