There might be an easier way, but it varies depending on the PC manufacturers.

Press the Windows key and the X key.  This will open the Windows Mobility Center - a utility you will find has been customized by HP.

They may be provided an entry for "Function key behaviour" which allows to switch between the "multimedia buttons" & "function keys."  Then you might normally have quick access to the uses of these media keys but deliberately off it when you want to use those applications for which it is delicate.

Similarly, while the keys are defined as multimedia keys, you should be able to press the Fn key with the key F1-12 to make it work like a normal F1-12 key.  And when they are ready to be normal F1-12 function keys, you could press Fn with F1-12 key to make them work as multimedia keys.  In other words, using the Fn key with the key function back everything is set up as its normal behavior.  Again, this varies with PC manufacturers, but is a fairly widespread ability then try to see if it applies to your PC.

It's a laptop Lifebook Fujitsu Series N.  After I posted this, I heard somewhere that it could be a combo of my function key or my windows key.  I started playing with these buttons, including hitting the number lock / scroll lock key.  None of this seems to work, but then 5 minutes later, I tried to work on something else and I hit key 4 by habit and it worked normally.

I do not know what undid the problem, but it was something in the sense of what you're saying.

This means that your keyboard is set to British PC rather than British.  Go to the sources of the system/preferences/keyboard and remove PC British, so it cannot become active.

Your keyboard must be indicated in the menu 'flag' in the top right of the screen.  You click to select another.

If you see a program on "Uninstall a program", you should be able to uninstall it without affecting other programs, with a few exceptions.  Do not uninstall the drivers unless you will not use the material. If the manufacturer included demonstration programs, those must be sure to uninstall.

I solved this.  Despite what has been reported in the newspaper the issue was not the port.  The new database is a named instance, the connection string for vcdb.properties, he entered as the server name = hostname\instancename in fact, it is necessary to use two slashes return hostname\\instancename :-/

  • ScriptUI Palette with button to perform the function

Hey Hey. Ho ho. I have a question for you guys. Hey Hey. Ho ho.

So I'm writing a script to automatically replace art existing in a file with the art of my network (specifically, necklaces. we work that says "made in usa" but we moved production overseas, then update the country of origin.) I have fixed all our model files, new orders are set up correctly, but we have tens of thousands of old orders with bad collars in the files. so far we have been manually accessing the network, opens a file that contains the correct collars and paste in the required file. A PITA serious, especially when you do 20 - 30 times per day.

So, naturally, I started to think about how to automate it. For most files, this process is really simple and straightforward because the files that we use has set up a system of good address. However, orders more alumni dating back to before the address system, so the script in some cases, to do a break in order to let the artist select USA collars so that the script can move to a new layer and hide.

To remedy this, I decided to use a scriptUI as an alert box pallet (if the artist still has access to the user interface, so they can select the necessary art, then click a button to perform a function and complete the task. The button in the palette works to perform the desired function, but then I get an error in ESTK that "there is no document. What I'm doing wrong here? Everything works until the promptToSelectCollars() function; The error occurs at line 291 trying to use docRef.layers.add (); I added the line 290 after the first time I got the error to see if docRef just need to be redefined, but that did not help.

You do not have something wrong, sort of, pallets do not 'normally' work as do dialog windows, you must use BridgeTalk to bind your palette to Illustrator, do a quick search, a topical subject, there are many samples.

  • problem with the 3/square icon on my iMac keyboard key.

I have a problem with the 3/square icon on my iMac keyboard key. The icon of Fund will not work, I just get # when I use the up and down arrow to the left of the keyboard. A lot of ideas, everyone please?

I just see the same question and the answer is the book symbol is alt + 3, I have a US keyboard. I wonder why that is? I bought my iMac to John lewis to the United Kingdom. Anyone have the answer for me please?
