  You say that when you press the NUM LOCK key, the Numlock State does not change (if enabled to disabled and vice versa)?  Have you tried to unplug the keyboard and by ensuring that the keyboard of the laptop does not have enabled Numlock?  If so, turn it off on the laptop keyboard and reinsert the another keyboard and see if the problem is resolved.

  If you do not need the Numlock key, it can be disabled at startup with the following procedure:http://www.technipages.com/enabledisable-numlock-at-login-or-startup.html.   I have a desktop computer Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with an ASUS M4A87TD EVO motherboard. Recently, I have a problem with my Wired Saitek Eclipse PZ30AU keyboard: when I type, the typical button does not appear on the screen. In other words, the keys are unresponsive. The keyboard is turned on, if the office is enabled/disabled. Even if, at the time, while he was working, the light is always disabled whenever the office is off. After that I downloaded all three files, I installed the chipset driver and USB driver in uncompressing them, by clicking on each file, by clicking on Setup. For some reason, the BIO 2001 pilot had only a ROM file, so I just deleted total. After installing and restarting the computer, the keyboard does not.

  I want to emphasize that, before even manually, download the drivers, I tried using WIndows Update to install all important and recommended updates. After the computer restarts, the guarded keyboard lights flashing on and outside.
  So, I ask two things:
  1.) how does my original keyboard does not work on my desktop, but works on my laptop? And my keyboard works for both laptop and desktop?
  2.) can I keep I have installed the drivers or uninstall them?

  A test, I added a shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + G) to my computer and it works fine.

  It also forces me to reach upward, my touchpad and perform sequences of keys or use both hands, and I'm lazy.

  A 'shortened' shorter that I would use would be to simply add the calculator to Quick Launch area (to the immediate right of the Start button), and then I could enter calculator with just a simple mouse click.

  What you see in the quick launch area is really just a file specific to each user, you can access the folder and add more shortcuts and remove shortcuts easily.  I deleted those that XP put there for me since I use them, but I can always add back them.

  You must activate the QL area, if it isn't already.

  For user Jose, my Quick Launch folder is here:

  C:\Documents and Settings\Jose\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

  In my region of QL, I put things that I use all the time... Firefox, Chrome, Outlook, office, Services, event viewer...  I might add calculator if I wanted to.  You can drag and drop things directly on the QL area, but be careful not to slide completely off you menu accessories - it is best to copy and paste.  If you accidentally drag it off your Accessories menu, just bring him back and drop it back where it belongs.
