keyboard volume and switch control wireless - HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook

My volume control keyboard & wireless switch (to touch those at the top of the keyboard) has just left the other day of work. I can't understand how do I know if I disabled something accidentally or what. Reset did not help. The only thing I did differently this day was to connect my laptop via a cable and stops the wireless. (I usually work wireless).

Laptop HP Pavilion dv6-2157sb

Windows 7 64 bit

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello

Problems with the capacitive band can sometimes be helped by doing a Hard Reset as follows.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

Kind regards

  • Cannot find wireless networks - 'hardware radio switch off' on HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

    The product name and number:

HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, product number: LZ802PA

    Operating system installed:

    Windows 7 Home Basic, 64-bit

    Error message:

    "Radio equipment extinguished."

All changes to your system until the problem occurred:

I was looking for a solution anywhere, including the hp Web site and forum and manual PDFs.

I have a problem to connect to internet wireless (I can connect using a cable). The wireless button is on (seeing the key F12 is blue), but "Intel My WIFI utility" tells me that the "hardware radio switch off." I was looking for the switch on the case and sought a shortcut to do this - but could not find.

As a result - my laptop cannot recognize any wireless connection, even if they exist for sure!

I also used Microsoft System Restore to restore to an earlier date - before the problem accrued. There was no difference.

Also, I reinstalled the drivers wireless Intel, Intel PROSet and my WIFI for Microsoft Windows 7. It does not help either.

    Help, please!

    I managed to fix it!

I had to get into the BIOS and enable the network card in there!

  • Upgrade of RAM in my HP PAVILION ENTERTAINMENT NOTEBOOK PC DV6907EA

    Hello

I use the laptop HP PAVILION DV6907EA ENTERTAINMENT NOTEBOOK PC

Currently is to have 1 + 1 GB of RAM. I would like to upgrade.

Can someone tell me the maximum memory allowed for this product?

    Thank you

    Yes, it works perfectly.

It will be just downclock to match the speed of your processor at 667 MHz.

But if you ever decide to install one of the T7xxx or T9xxx processors supported (see the service manual dv6700 for a list of supported Intel processors), you'll be happy that you got the PC2-6400 memory, because he would then run at 800 MHz...

  • Video card stretch in dv6704nr HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook PC?

I'm looking to improve the graphics on my brother's mobile, but wasn't sure if that was even possible with the laptop HP Pavilion dv6704nr.  I'm sure that could increase the RAM, but I wanted to check in the graphics card in particular.  If anyone has any information on whether this is possible on this laptop or if anyone has any other recommendations to boost graphics on this model, please let me know or point me in the right direction.  Thank you .

    Hello

Sorry to say, but you can't upgrade the video card - although it's called a 'card', in reality it is more like a chip and is physically soldered to the motherboard and is not an evolutionary element.

  • My (Pavilion Entertainment Notebook dv6-6091nr) cannot install any type of game on the internet

I have adobe, I have internet 9, I have java, but whenever I try to download a game called World of tanks, Battlefield Heroes or Battle for Wesnoth to my son (they have strange tastes in the game, I realize that). Whenever I have download (via normal or TORRENT file), it says "Windows cannot find the right content, here is a list of programs to help you find what your looking to dethrone" excetera, although you will not hear content, it could be something else. But it always happens when I open the file, always, I save the file for download, and it ALWAYS happens. I have no idea what's going on, but worked when I tried called RegWork (which i immedietly UN installed).

I have kasperby security software, is this what is causing the problems?

What are you - running win 7?

If the programs are not for win 7 to use compatibility mode

Or look for the correct version of the program...

    > .exe

Are you sure that windows does not hide the file extension (you can set it in windows..)

Also security software can block executable files, as I don't believe in your case.

PS maybe you should be happy that you can not install these games for your son :-)

  • HP Pavilion tx2117cl Entertainment Notebook - driver problems

We have a tx2117cl, HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook originally shipped with windows Vista 32 bit.  At one point a year or two before, I had a disc of Windows 7 and installed.  Later my husband started having problems with the machine - either by malicious software or something else.  We have a 2nd computer, so I really don't have much with it until last week.  We decided it would be a computer good work at home for 10 years.

I erased the disc using KillDisk and reinstalled Windows 7.  We were not able to access the partition of recovery... that was part of our original problem.

In any case, now... it seems that almost everything works when I look in Device Manager... with the exception of what we call a coprocessor.  Indicates that the driver is not installed and the device does not work.  When we try to play video games crash, the system sometimes stops on us.

In my view, that it is a map of nVidia GeForce 6150 chipset driver.  I tried to install some drivers that have been proposed in other threads forums here, but I always get a message at the start of the installation of nVidia that it is incompatible.  I also tried to run the installation as an administrator and run the program in Vista and XP compatibility mode... same message.

I'm at the point now that I'm almost ready to recovery disks order and clean the disk and restore factory settings.   Can I still use the Win7 OS on another computer.  But I thought that I would try once more to find someone who has an answer that could help me.  Any help would be appreciated.

Also... If I can't find an answer, and I order the recovery disks... I have a question.  The Vista operating system on drives will have a product key included.  We cannot find the discs or the documentation that came with the machine... and he now has the product key Windows 7 low.  We must have pasted on there... on top of the Vista one, and now I can't not to him.  Sigh...

    Thanks in advance!

    Diane

    Hi, Diane:

This should be the driver that you need for the coprocessor.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-56970-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3691981&sw_lang=

You probably also need the video driver because windows installs a generic video driver and you may not notice this isn't the one you need.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-70238-2&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2100&Product=3691981&sw_lang=

If the pilot does not automatically install, you can try to install manually by going to Device Manager, click the display section, click standard VGA card, then click the driver tab.

Click on set to update driver. Select travel it my computer for the software method, navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

    Who will be in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

When you restart, you should have the correct driver installed for the video card.

You should not need the product key when you use Vista HP recovery disks.

  • Wireless keyboard volume keys

Volume +/-and mute keys on my wireless multimedia keyboard stopped working since I installed Avira AntiVirus. Technology of the computer that has installed it said to reinstall the keyboard software or download from Microsoft. I downloaded it, but the keys still don't work. Is it possible that this antivirus program is causing the problem? If so can I just uninstall it?

    (I have windows xp)

    1. open start menu located on your taskbar.
    2. right click on "Computer" and open "manage".
3 on the left, under 'computer management', you will find "Services and Applications". Open and select 'Services '.
    4. search for a service named "HID (Human Interface Device)" (or something VERY similar).
    5. once found, check the status. If the value is not "started", start it.
    6. ensure that it will be on in the future, check the Startup Type value. If it is not "automatic", right click and select Properties.
    7. on the "Général" tab, change the startup type to automatic.
    8. apply and close.
