  I don't know if that's how it is supposed to be or not. But I thought it would be a common sense that should the keyboard lit up as the Macbook Pro lights up on the login screen, but this one isn't.   The backlight on the keypad lights to power when FileVault is in use. If you need this feature, you must turn off FileVault.

• keyboard will not wake the computer more

  I have a PS2 Keyboard with power options set to wake the computer from sleep mode, which she did from the day 1. He works now is more like that and I need to press the power button to wake the computer. As I say I checked in the Device Manager and everything seems ok there. Any other ideas?

  Computer is waking up with keyboard normally for the WSD print device disabling. However, again made the Device Manager and WSD print provider is now gone? I don't really like, but these machines seem to have minds that they own. I do not know something related to it will come back to bite me later, hope does not tho.

  Maybe someone can help push hard at this one.  I can't wake up the system after long time.  I tried to change the settings - to no savings at various times to save energy.

  I suspect that there may be a registry problem.

  I'm under System 7 on a HP Pavillion dual processor unit.  I tried to use cache cleaners, optimizers, but failed.  Every morning when I wake up the machine he is frozen about half the time.  I have to turn off (using the power button) and it will run fine all day.

  I also thought that maybe it's enough food, but the only add on I installed a video card.

  Other devices in use:

  • Logitech Webcam
  • Printer series
  • Ethernet connection to a router

  I would be very interested in hearing ideas that I could try.

  ·         Is it a USB keyboard and a mouse?

  ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

  If it's the USB keyboard and mouse then settings for the Universal Serial Bus controllers so that the device is not disabled when the computer is idle.

  Follow these steps:

  a. click Start, type Device Manager in the Start search box and press ENTER.

  b. Select Bus USB controllers in the list of the USB hub root.

  c. right-click and select Properties.

  d. click the power management tab.

  e. Select and deselect allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

• Keyboard will not work to start the Recovery Console repair function

  I would like to use the repair feature in Windows XP Professional Recovery Console when starting Onboard or USB CD-ROM drive.  My keyboard works very well to enable F12 and select boot device.  Windows Setup starts and then loads bunch of pilots - looking... but then my keyboard won't work for select 'R' to start the Recovery Console repair.  All this started because I uninstalled a Lexmark printer and it seems that the driver Lexmark LXBTtime.dll lack now but still wants Windows to start.   So now Config\System will not load.  I saw some threads in this forum recommend that my wireless keyboard does not work - so I borrowed a USB wired keyboard - but still the same problem.  Cannot select 'R' - the keyboard light turns off and of course not recognised by Windows Setup.  Any ideas or suggestions?  In addition to the purchase of a MAC (it was my suggestion of neighbors :-)   Thanks for the review!

  In addition to the suggestion of Daavee I would also ask you try another disk of Windows XP installation and also you can try with a keyboard five General PIN and check.

• Media Player will not stop playing when the close button is hit.

  My media player works fine until I try to close. When I watch a video clip, I make sure that I have 'stop' the clip before I "close" (the little red button with an X in it, which is suppose to close the program) the player or clip will continue to play in the background. If I brings up the Task Manager, it will display no programs running, I can still here the clip and I'm going to start > all programs > media player always plays the same clip. It is not suppose to do this right? If it is then how can I change so it 'close' media player?

  This one seems to be really weird when you began experiencing this problem?

  You have a connected PDA that uses the media player? Sometimes Windows Mobile Device Center has been continuously the reactivation of WMP.

  Another possible issue of the keyboard that you use may control the media player. There are known of the problem with the Logitech keyboard software. Try this if you have a Logitech software update.

  Try to open the Task Manager is trying to kill the wmpsideshowgadget.exe process and check if it shutsdown.

  If it works there, then, open the CONTROL PANEL

  Double-click WINDOWS SIDESHOW

  Uncheck everything that has to do with WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

  You can also try to disable sharing in media player click on... Tools-> Options-> library-> configure share-> uncheck the two 'media find others to share' & "share my media".

  Check if it works.

  If all the above fails try to perform the clean boot

• 6500 will not Fax receive when the answering machine is added

  6500 does not receive faxes when answering machine added to the configuration.  So just HP connected to the Jack, I am able to send and receive.  When I add phone & answering machine, I can only send faxes.  The incoming faxes reached answering machine message entering and are not picked up by HP and no dial tone fax haven't saved on the answering machine.   Sounds just the icon disappears in answering machine picks up.  I'm testing with HP test # (1-888-473-2963).

  I have a phone line with 2 numbers associated with it - one for voice, one for the fax with a distinctive ring (triple).  Answering machine is programmed to answer = 4 lights, HP is set to auto-answer = Yes, will answer after 6 rings, distinctive ring triple =, error correction = stop, fax = slow speed, header information, set # with associated distinctive ring, not the voice #.

  Help!

  PROBLEM SOLVED!  Used a combination of silence at end of answering machine outgoing message and "recording" of the distinctive ring on HP device during setup of taxes.  THX so much!

• LR6 will not automatically start when the memory card is inserted

  Recently upgraded to LR6 from LR 5.7.1. When LR 5.7.1 was installed, it would automatically start when the memory card is inserted. With only LR6 installed it does not open when the memory card has been inserted.

  I "see the import dialog when a memory card is detected."

  I have LR installed 6.0.1.

  When the memory card is inserted, you receive the following error message:

  

  If I right click on the disk memory and select Auto Open play, a list of programs appear particularly LR. The program is highlighted is

  

  If I click on LR in the list above, I encounter error "Application not found".

  When I manually start LR6, it works and I can manually import from memory card.

  What can I do to fix this?

  Yes, Autoplay is still trying to run LR5.

  There is a previous thread with notes on how to edit the Windows registry to resolve this problem, if you are comfortable doing.

• VISTA no longer STARTS after power failure, FAILURE of KEYBOARD will not allow access to the Start Menu.

  I have a Dell E521 of Dimensions with Vista Home Premium. The power went out yesterday, and when I turned on the PC it States "keyboard disabled", also the mouse isn't here. The PC will be even in the menu start and without keyboard F2. F12 or F8 does not work,

  Anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

  Although nothing seems to happen when clicking new window or new private window, there seems to be some process started because when I try to close Firefox and reopen it, I get an error message saying that Firefox is already running. My only option then is to stop the process through the Task Manager. I tried (many times) to uninstall and reinstall.

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

• I have updated to iOS to 9.3.1 now my screen is in portrait mode and will not change landscape when the phone is turned. Also, it just goes straight to voicemail without ringing on my end when people call. All I can say all the settings are correct. ideas

  Looks like my question may have been corrupted.

  I updated my phone to iOS 9.3.1 last night. Now all my incoming calls go directly to Voicemsil without ringing on my end. My sound and message settings appear normal for me. Also, my screen rotates out of sight from portrait to landscape view for photos FB etc...

  suggestions to solve problems?

  It seems that if you have the lock of portrait and do not disturb activated. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to call the control center. Look at the two circular icons on the top right row. They are white? If so, tap on them to turn them off. One resembles a Crescent Moon, the other as an arrow in a circle with a padlock in the Center.

• Tecra M5 will not be on when the power button press

  I just sent my Tecra to a new location and at startup, nothing happens. The power light and the charge battery lights up, but nothing else. Could something have loosened up, which causes the computer does not start. I don't have a recovery CD.

  Maybe the RAM has become loose? Try reinstalling the RAM, or RAM slots with table ELECTRIC cleaner cleaning.

• Field will not be centered when the text adjusts

  I have a centered LabelField.  It works fine until the text is too long.  It envelops like I want it, but the center alignment is lost.  I also tried a RichTextField without success.  Any ideas?

  Hope you can help out me. Some users are not able to create reports on BI Publisher, the data model dialog box does not automatically display and when we click on the magnifying glass to select one, and then click OK, the dialog remains in view while we reached Undo to go back to choose the layout of the report , but that part is never available.

  We tried several things as hitting SAVE as... and return to change the report but still no layout to choose.

  Is anyone aware of updates from Oracle who cites or solve this problem?

  My users use Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7.

  Java is not enabled on this computer. So we updated Java and enabled on windows.

  This is a Microsoft wireless keyboard 3000 v2.0. It came with a mouse aswell which is working as expected.

  Any ideas? It's so frustrating!

  If you can, try the keyboard on another PC and try a different keyboard on your PC. If the keyboard has the same thing on another PC and another keyboard works well on your PC, it is "side on" hardware failure. Assuming that it is hardware failure, if it is under warranty GET it replaced, it is not you will have to buy a new one.
