Keychain

I tried to change my phone no. in the section Keychain but it continues to me 'impossible to change the phone not' give. The phone without its my old phone no.. which i have no access.

The reason why I want to change my phone no. every time I use the keychain on it keeps says that we'll send a verification on the old phone code not. which i have not access to it any more. so I can't use the keychain well.

I have support from apple for the same problem and they tried to help me but unfortunately they do not have and they told me it's a security reason they cannot change or anything, at least I don't have the old phone. What is something impossible.

Meanwhile in my apple ID account and everywhere I don't have the new phone. even they send me the code of two steps they send it to the new phone number. but only for the keychain, still have the old phone no.

After a long discussion with the support team and their efforts to support and help me the only solution they advised me to do is create a new account and use it for the Keyring which is very difficult to do what am using the same account on 5 different devices and I used it for a long time.

Can someone help me with this issue?

Hello I have recently updated to Sierra and I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I keep getting pop ups related to the Keychain. They vary, but two of the most common are "ACCOUNTSD WANTS to USE LOGIN KEYCHAIN" AND 'SPOTIFY WANTS to USE KEYCHAIN' there have been many other ones

I also get the following what has been since before the update:

THIS MAC UNABLE to CONNECT at the rate of a PROBLEM WITH MY ADDRESS to iCLOUD. I use to use my iTunes account address

I would add that went into Keychain Access and noticed that the lock has been released. When I then lock it I get the same popup "ACCOUNTSD WANTS to USE LOGIN KEYCHAIN". Put my password and then opens again this padlock

  • Local keychain items pop ups after the connection

Using a MacBook Pro 15 "retina with MacOS Sierra, but this has also happened with El Capitan.

If I restart, or if the locks on the computer for a long time (i.e. at night), and I have to log into it, boxes appear in Finder telling me that "local keychain" needs my password for sharingd, cloudd, AddressBookSourceSync and accountsd. It started when I went to use a unique password to access the MBP and told to start using my iCloud password to unlock the MBP. Everything worked fine until I had to change my password iCloud at some point. When this happened (while I was still on El Capitan), all these boxes began to appear. The only way I can shut them down is to enter my password earlier iCloud.

I upgraded to Sierra and thought it would solve the problem. There can be no. To implement authentication two factor that I was able to unlock my MBP with my Apple Watch (which does not work either), I had to separate my unlock code for my MBP of my password to iCloud. So now I'm on the Sierra; I have two factor authentication (it is a freakin mess ' that rarely works and that blocking me among the devices everywhere now). a password on my MBP is nothing to do with my iCloud password; and I get always the obligation to enter my old old old iCloud password in the boxes for accountsd, sharingd, cloudd and AddressBookSourceSync for "local keychain" before I can start using the MBP. Often, I have to enter the password up to three times for each of them to clear all check boxes.

I tried to use Keychain Access to delete the keychain completely and refresh all, but he says that I do not have access to do this little matter of what password I use, and - yes - I have admin access on my MBP. I think that this may also be preventing me from setting up either of my watches from Apple to unlock the MBP (he always tells me that my watch must be unlocked when it is already (Watch series 2), or it is said that he just can't communicate with the watch (series 1).) In conclusion, I am at my wit's end and it is all makes me very disappointed in my MBP, Sierra, my new watch and even my new iPhone 7 more items that don't communicate well with one another. It's very UN-Apple-like when their software and hardware don't speak just each other, or even internally as it should.

    1. Open the Keychain Access application, located in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder.
    2. On the Edit menu, choose "Change password for Keychain 'login'."
    3. Enter the old password of your user account in the current password field.
    4. Enter the new password for your user account password.  Enter the same password in the field of verification.
    5. Click OK when finished, then quit Keychain Access.
  • iPhone7 Upgrade - make sure you know your FIRST password in keychain!

Hi, make sure you have your correct Keychain password before restoring your backup to your new iPhone!

Dear Apple, you should have a prompt screen before any recovery begins for the Keychain password.  If someone don't understand the first time, you end up having to add all your e-mail and several other passwords manually.

Apple is not regularly monitor the discussions. These are mostly a user in discussions.

Send feedback to Apple. They will not respond, but at least know that there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it can get change / suggested the problem solved as soon as possible.

  • Add to keychain but no AutoFill

I want to store all of my passwords with Keychain Access iCloud, but I don't want some passwords to autofill. For example, I don't want my user name and password for Auto-filling for my bank accounts - I always feel like typing in manually. However, I still want these passwords to be stored safely in Keychain Access, in which case I forgot. What is the best procedure to achieve this? Currently, all passwords stored in Keychain Access are AutoFill in Safari do anything. If I delete a specific set of keys and manually type in my name of user and password in Safari and then select never "for this site" when you are prompted to save the password, then the password is not stored. All I want is to store the passwords without AutoFill in Safari them! Thanks in advance!

    Hi chrisnatrop,

I understand that you want to keep your important passwords in haberdashery, but you don't want them to be autofilled using Safari. You can set the right to auto-fill your Safari app settings. Here is a great link that can help you with fixing Autofill to work exactly how you want that it to. Safari 9 (El Capitan): use AutoFill to enter contact information, passwords and more

    Change AutoComplete settings:

Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click AutoFill.

To enable or disable AutoFill, select the information you want to include in the auto-complete, uncheck the rest.

To change or remove the information AutoFill, click on Edit next to the information you want to edit or delete.

Important: Safari auto your information to anyone who uses your Mac with your user login. It also auto your information to anyone who uses your devices if these devices and your Mac have iCloud Keychain set in place.

Please use the Apple Support communities to post your question. These steps are just what to do the job.

    Have a great day.

  • MacOS Sierra not properly to access the Keychain for OpenSSL/SSH passwords

    Hello

It seems to be a problem in the Sierra of MacOS on the passwords for SSH keys.

I have my public/private key pair that is enabled for access to some linux servers, so I can't SSH in without inserting my password. After upgrading to Mac OS sierra, it seems that the keychain is no more long-term treatment/store/retrieve passphrases correctly.

When first tried to open a session in one of my remote servers, asked me for the password, which seemed odd, so I thought that maybe the passwords were lost in the upgrade and changed the password manually by calling "ssh-keygen - f id_rsa Pei." Then I went to log in again, I asked the password and he entered, so I could connect to the server but then, apart from SSH telling me it has stored the password in the keychain, subsequent attempts to connect again always ask me the password.

Note how he is unable to find the password in the keychain (it is out of the attempts of the second and following), then he says it stores the password in the keychain, and then, he considers it and "updated" it. However, next attempt will not find the password in the keychain, so that the process will be repeated "ad nauseam".
