Kill audio placed in CS5 interactive SWF SWF video tour page

I am facing a very frustrating problem that I can't find a solution anywhere on the forum.  It seems that similar questions went unaswered that scares me because if I can't find a solution, working hours are likely down the tubes...

All I want is for the audio track of a video file SWF, I placed in an interactive ID CS5 SWF to stop playing when the page in which it is placed is turned.  I did everything what we would logically do for do this without success, including the fix more logic that would be to add an action to the buttons that turn the page to include: stop the video as well as all the video: Stop, however, nothing that I tried to work.

Is this a bug with ID CS5?   Of course the final user can manually stop the video before turning the page, but I don't want to force him to do this, especially because if they simply turn the page without stopping the video, it seems that there is no way to stop the audio at all without either wait until the stop or refresh the whole swf document.

I have to write a separate Flash script to kill the audio portion of the video swf?   I'm not have Flash skills to do this, unfortunately, but could probably figure out if need be.  If there are other simple solutions, I would be VERY grateful for the help.

Thank you!!

Steve

Yes, that s a bug. As far as I know only one way to avoid that is to... as you assumed it... write an excerpt of small killer audio in Flash actionscript, export it to SWF and place this SWF to the next and previous page to your SWF video. Idea is that when the user enters the next or previous page, plays and stopAllSounds SWF action is triggered.

I published it to eDocker´s FAQ page at: http://www.edocker.com/support/frequently-asked-questions/

Just scroll down to the section Bugs & correction and download a zip package to the fullScreenVideoFix, the West a file called KillAudio.swf.

Place on the appropriate pages and put play on page load (in the support component)

    Is it possible to somehow use iFrames to allow an interactive SWF created in Indesign to display on an iPad?   I created some pretty complex interactive of the SWF file that simply cannot be replicated using Digital Publishing or any other solution that I can find.  I was curious to know if there is a way to take advantage of the ability of the iFrame as a workaround.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi Steve,.

    SWF cannot be read on an iPad or other iOS devices. This has noting to do with the DPS, but with the Apple iOS that allows quite simply not to play Flash files.

    You must switch to HTML5 technology to create your Animations. There are several solutions like Adobe Edge, tumult Hype,... to create the Animations without coding.

  • Kill audio when the other cheek

    Hello!

    How do I kill audio in a symbol when another symbol begins to play?

    I have a very simple configuration with a series of symbols on my calendar.

    When you click on a symbol, it hides and shows the following symbol.

    I have audio for each symbol and you can't seem to stop when the next symbol / audio begins!

    I made an action to click for each symbol - (there def1 def2, def3, def4, def5)

    for example, on "def1", it is the click action:

    SYM.$("dEF1"). Hide();

    SYM.$("dEF1"). Stop(); me trying to completely stop the sound

    SYM.$("dEF2"). Show();

    var mySymbolObject = sym.getSymbol ("def2");

    mySymbolObject.play ();

    Everything is perfect except the noise of def1 plays always started def2!

    Help would be great!

    PS (I can post files if necessary. I know I can do a picture, too, I just don't know how...)

    If you use audio hosted so all you need to do is reset the audio like this:

    var music = sym.$("music") [0];

    Music.pause ();

    music.currentTime = 0;

  • Conversion .swf video without loss of frames

    This question was asked and responded poorly to a few times already. Specifically, on an Apple computer, it seems there is no way to get a video file (.mov, .mpg or other) off Flash Pro without severe loss of quality or the complete destruction of cadence.

    My .swf files are fantastic, just as they are supposed to. The room at the right pace and everything works as I set them up. When I go to export it as .mov or .mpg, the pace accelerates and slows down according to the objects on the screen. I played with the settings constantly, hitting the quality down to almost the smallest settings (something I'd not rather after having worked very hard on my part) as well as setting the frame rate options in all the senses to see if something has changed. Nothing. I've been reading a forum where Flash creators have the same problems and are tearing their hair because their work is essentially useless being stuck in Flash.

    I know that there are programs that convert files .swf video very well, some of them cost about $100. Why buy Flash in the first place, if you need to buy a new one, almost as price software just to get your Flash content? I also know that there are hundreds of free video converters out there for Apple, none of them seem to be able to manage the .swf format, but can do pretty much everything else. In addition, I know that for windows, there is the .swf Iwisoft free video converter that works very well, but does not support Apple created the .swf files when carried through on a PC. How is it that this software is free and easy on a Windows machine, but not a Mac?

    I'd like if someone from Adobe could answer some of these questions because I've been everywhere on the web looking for an answer to which nobody seems to have the right one. Most people can suggest a good video converter that works for them, but they have not tried on a .swf file and when the original user tries, it doesn't work and the thread died there. Any suggestions?

    @Dr. Silky - I saw the converter about newspapers at the time the conversion must have tried.  As you may have guessed Flabaco was designed for the shorter length animations, but it can handle animations longer - it takes more time and server resources.

    I forced the conversion of your swf file (I guess I got the correct swf) and he must now be converted.

    This necessary conversion manual intervention, but if there are users of such requirements, I would like to make these possible conversions.

    To download the converted videos, goto www.flash-banner-converter/converter using the same browser you used. As long as the browser cache has not been cleared or until the Start Again button was not clicked, you will see the converted videos.

    If you can't see the videos mail me the name of the swf file and I'll send you a direct link. (use the email address listed on the support page that you might not want your content exposed on a public forum)

    The videos are in 3 formats - webm, mp4 and ogv.  The quality of each of these videos can be different and you can choose the one that suits you best.

    Note: The number of tokens / series of conversion was R1328993157691 * _ * _ *. You will see this number on the converter page (but not the home page). (If you see a different number, this means that I forced the conversion of the wrong SWF.)

    Would be happy to help you with any conversions more you have - after all its an opportunity for Flabaco to improve and become more useful.

    I have a hp Pavilion dv9000 with a SmartAudio 2.23.0.0, audio version 4.31.0.50 version convexant. I lost sound after upgrade to the service package 1. Now I service package 2 and always in need of audio restoration. I have the system but none sounds audio for listening to music or watching videos with sound. Is there any free down loads for this problem? Is there any free audio low costs compatible with the with this service package that I can use to hear music and movies?

    Hi Andre,

    ·         Have you the sounds of Windows but no sound when you play music?

    ·         Which application do you use to play music and videos?

    You can check if the application volume is set properly. Also, check if the following is useful.

    Method 1: Run the next Fixit tool and see if it helps.

    Diagnose and automatically repair audio playback problems

    Method 2: Follow the steps in the article mentioned below.

  • Incoming audio levels can be adjusted for digital video capture in Premiere Pro?

    Incoming audio levels can be adjusted for digital video capture in Premiere Pro?  Or is the audio in digital images a fixed entity that cannot be adjusted once it is imported into an editing software?  Recently, I have captured 14 hours the Strip that constantly weak but usable audio levels.  I couldn't see a way to set audio levels in the capture Panel, so I just left with just the default settings.

    It is possible that the lessee of his experience on the production has been conservative with its levels; they constantly peaking at nearly 9 meters of first, instead of more desirable 12.  But because they are so compatible, I wonder if I missed an option to set audio capture of levels when I did the band.

    The levels are defined. In the way - 9 on the first meters are stronger than-12

  • No audio on Adobe Premier pro for some videos

    I recorded a video as a series. MTS format and imported to my computer. Some of the videos use audio from the microphone of the camera and some interview footage using a microphone audio clip - it. When I play videos on the first cc pro, the on-board mic recordings are fine - but I don't hear anything from the videos where I used the microphone clip. (the videos with the lapel mic are mono)

    For videos, I recorded with the mono microphone:

    -I can clearly see the levels indicating audio is here.

    -When I play the video on the camera, the audio is also there, clear as day.

    -For some reason, there is no audio data when the computer reads, even when I use VLC.

    I searched online, but it's not to much info on my specific problem. Can you suggest anything?

    Start a new project, add a video clip, edit in mono as before. Let the audio conform. Make a sequence to match the clip. You should now have a video and two audio tracks. ALT-click to select the empty audio track and remove. Open the track mixer, read the video and audio from the left pan the audio remains the path, do you mean the audio all the time or does it come and go as you pan?

  • Help adding to the Muse an interactive swf with videos made in InDesign

    I am trying to create a portfolio of my digital work, which includes multi page interactive s .swf since InDesign I want to put on my site.
    I can add the SWF in fine using Place and they deposit functions great unless I have MP4/.flv videos in the swf file and that they will not play in the preview of the Muse or in the browser preview, so there are some periods of white vacuum which is not good!
    Did someone added these files using before Muse? I have a basic understanding of html and FTP language (although I don't know how I'm going to publish my site yet) any advice with this would be greatly received!

    I add this answer / solution for all those who may have the same problem and see what.

    I ended up publishing my site with the option Business Catalyst.

    I then followed the instructions to access the sftp as shown here:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/content/help/en/business-catalyst/partner/connecting-site-using-FTP-client.html

    After scoring in the sftp (I use Filezilla, was already familiar with the program) then I transferred my .swf and .html files in the folder liabilities and more download the resources generated by InDesign folder liabilities IE. / assets/your_indesign_file_name_resources /.

    The question that I lived before I belive was that the .swf file has been refernecing support in the resources folder, but no download via sftp, it did not exist on my site. Muse has no way to have the record or media that she, all is fair in the liabilities top-level folder.

    I had a problem with the size of the file initially to ensure that you do not download more of your franchise (visible on your dashboard of BC).

    This made the videos entirely functional and visible. I hope it's useful for all others with the same question.

    MBM mp3 audios however still do not work, I'm not sure what the problem is with those :/ If anyone can resolve, please comment!

  • Cannot place and Indesign CS5 created swf save into a file, Indesign CS5?

    I hope someone can help me?  I created a SWF animated in Indesign CS5 using the amination and deadlines of the panels for use in an interactive PDF.  The SWF exported correctly and plays as expected in the browser.  However, when I go to select the swf file to place it in my Indesign file its greyed out and cannot be selected.

    I tried essentially to follow Rufus Deuchler method to integrate animations in a PDF file http://tv.adobe.com/watch/csinsider-design/indesign-creating-interactive-pdfs-with-page-tu rn - and - flash animations /. In the video's swf is available for selection when you use the command import and everything I found on the talks from web on the importation of the SWF in indesign files as a standard feature in CS5 and CS5.5.

    I tried to re export the swf file under different names and in different folders. Quit Indesign and restart; try to place the swf file in a completely different indesign file. through all the Indesign preferences to see if there is an option to "activate" swf import and I have even tried doing Rufus and export options exactly when you create the swf file.  Nothing has worked.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have screenshots and the swf file, I'm trying to import that I can email if anyone would facilitate my growing frustration.

  • CS5.5 swf fine CS6 swf does not appear in the browser

    I did a flash for a client project in CS5 and CS5.5. I did periodic updates of 5.5 year without any problem. I just made another update, and now that I'm in CS6 I saved as a .swf CS6. But when I download the file index.html on the server I do not get the swf file. I get a white box with the title of the player securuty message page. Then I created two files index.html, one with the swf CS5.5 and one with the CS6 swf, uploaded to the server (site server) and I get the same thing, CS5.5 displays and CS6 does not. I watched the embed codes and the only diference I see is that the CS6 calls the drive Flash 15. I'm updating as much as players will so I tried to change 15-11 player (it's the palyer swf CS5.5 calls) and I still get the same result.

    Here are two links to the files, a person can see if there is another question here the cause because I'm lost.

    http://goldenfilms.TV/indexGOOD.html -works great (swf created in CS5.5)

    http://goldenfilms.TV/indexCS6.html -DO NOT VIEW (swf created in CS6)

    anyone?

    R

    Yes, you use the code of problematic integration:

    Open your fla with cs 5.5 or cs6, depending on what you want to use.  publish an html file using the flash and test with this html file.  If there is no reason to check the version of flash player, do not check "detect the version of flash player" in the publication settings.  If there is a reason to check, check it and specify the required Player version (and choose a version that currently exists).

  • Slide the ends before interactive SWF animations

    I have a character interactive animation SWF file on a slide in a Captivate 5.5 module. The animation is launched by a button with an action of 'show '. The animation can take as long as the learner takes to answer by clicking on one of the interactive elements. The problem now is that my slide runs out before the animation. When I add action pause button on the slide itself (to pause the slide), it also exposes the animation. How can I solve this?

    Quick description:

    1. Open the FLA.
    2. Select all the items in the timeline (Ctrl + A).
    3. Press F8 (convert to Symbol dialog opens).
    4. Name the symbol of everything you like, then click OK.
    5. Republish the SWF file.
    6. Reinsert in Captivate and see if it works.
  • kill all of the code for swf loader?

    Hi all

    I understood how to use the charger to bring external .swf in my project files, but I have a lot of buttons bringing in lots of different swf files and I want to have a home button that will kill them all any order, were shipped in.

    Is there a way to do this?

    Here is my code so far... it works little, but is obviously stupid, returning errors (but it still works) and cause trouble I get from more loading .swf.  I really want to keep track of the last charge charger and be able to move forward and backward in order and also kill all at once?  all ideas

    Thanks for your help

    gl_ProLoader.load (new URLRequest ("test.swf"));

    addChild (gl_ProLoader);

    now here is my attempt of a code to kill

    alwayshome.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, everythingunload);

    function unloadgs() {}

    gs_ProLoader.unloadAndStop ();

    removeChild (gs_ProLoader);

    gs_ProLoader = null;

    {if (Gstar1 = true)}

    unloadgs();

    homebuttons();

    }

    {if (Gload1 = true)}

    unloadgl();

    homebuttons();

    }

    }

    Here's a rough review of your code.  Things could be made more generic if you name your buttons compared to the files they load so that you could possibly have a function to load shared by each of them.  I hesitated to do it since the code can not repeat the way which show you... I have excluded from this other code so do not confuse that with what I am demo-ing...

    var proLoaders: Array = new Array();

    Navigator.get_started.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, g_star);

    function g_star(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    proLoaders.push (new Loader());
    proLoaders [proLoaders.length - 1] .load (new URLRequest ("get_started2.swf"));
    addChild(proLoaders[proLoaders.length-1]);
    }

    Navigator.go_legal.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, go_legalgo);

    function go_legalgo(event:MouseEvent):void
    {
    proLoaders.push (new Loader());
    proLoaders [proLoaders.length - 1] .load (new URLRequest ("test.swf"));
    addChild(proLoaders[proLoaders.length-1]);
    }

    alwayshome.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, everythingunload);

    function everythingunload(event:MouseEvent):void {}
    for (var i: int = proLoaders.length - 1; i > - 1; i--) {}
    proLoaders [i] .unloadAndStop ();
    removeChild (proLoaders [i]);

    proLoaders [i] = null;
    proLoaders.pop ();
    }
    }
