• Update iTunes 12.3.1.23 does not open library

  Hello

  I run X EI captain on my Macbood Air.

  I've updated to iTunes 12.3.1.23, only to find an error message when you open iTunes.

  

  There after that iTunes just couldn't open the library from my external hard drive.  Tried to move the library on my mac.  Also no joy.  Tried to get in to the Apple Store to get technical support.  The guy has been useful, but also, did not know how to solve this problem, they suggested to wait for the next update, I hope get fixed.

  Just got my new s 6, and now I can't update one of my apps. podcasts or music, because of this hitch to iTunes library.  With iCloud, some applications are able to sync with the iPhone, but not all.

• Operating instructions: new catalog opens library instead of develop

  Whenever I have create a new catalog, it opens in develop mode.

  This is obviously a problem, because can't drop/importing photos using the develop. Therefore, each and ever I create a new catalog, I need to manually switch to library mode.

  I can't understand why Lightroom would do that, because it seems too counterintuitive to be a planned function.

  How can I explain to Lightroom that I need to have new open catalogues in the library on the creation mode?

  It is not a big problem, but it's a gene that keeps piling up day after day.

  No way to do this automatically, but pressing G to switch to grid view in the library seems not too heavy for me.

• InDesign CS5 and El Capitan - cannot open library

  For the most part, CS5 works, even if on occasion, the text disappears in boxes, then reappears. The biggest problem is that I can get back is no longer my library.

  Double-click on will not open it.

  CS5 is too old to run El Capitan with reliability. A lot of problems with the installation or the problems you have encountered. Of course, he will never be updated.

  1. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
  2. Press command + shift + D to Deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.
  3. Select clear authorization.
  4. Click OK and exit the Adobe Digital Editions software.
  5. Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize. [Help-> allows computer]

  Windows:

  When I "Export for Kindle" a previous project, old people also opens? So, I have two InDesign projects open.

  Can someone instruct me on how to prevent the opening of this old version of the project, they may be related somehow?

  I checked for any connection between the two files and could not identify any.

• CS3 - cannot open library

  Hello

  I work with ID CS3, Windows XP.  We are on a network system.  Since last week, I have more "library".  It is not in my sidebar.  When I go to the opened file and select a library, I get the following error:

  The exception (0xc000000d) unknown softw3are exception occurred in the application at location 0x78138aa0.

  Click on OK to terminate the program.

  I have to choose OK, and when I ID stops.

  Please notify.

  The recommended workflow is to copy all the files on the local computer before editing, then go back to the network location when you are finished. That said, a lot of people get away with working directly on the network (including me) most of the time, but we probably were all bitten at least once.

  Check with THEM and see if they have a backup of a week or two ago. If the valuables are stored on a server, it is usually to facilitate the preservation and access.

  If the library is not needed by someone else, I would certainly at least pass a copy on your local computer, once you have work.

• Win XP, FF 9.0.1 - window open library, click on "Import...". "Tab, which opens the Import Wizard. Select "Internet Explorer", then button 'Next', then nothing happens. Next the Wizard ("import items") opens, nothing.

  The only thing that had happened was that during the initial operation of the FF, when it connects on the Mozilla site, I lost my Internet (modem) connection and not a not complete this initial contact. Bookmarks, etc seem to work, I can not just simply import from the old browser.

  You remove an Aperture library by selecting it in the Finder and delete it like any other file.

  To rename an opening, library, use the Finder-click on the name of the library and enter a differnet name.  You can also select the library in the Finder, then enter the ⌘I key combination to open the information panel. Then change the name in the Info Panel.

  In the Finder, select a mounted volume and entry command-i to check the fit. It should be formatted for OS X Extended (journaled). If it is correct, check the info sharing & permissions and make any necessary changes.

  Afret resettlement of Digital Editions, deleted all files PDF, managed to remove all instances of digital editions and "return item" - ignored the fact that it gave me error E_BAD_LOAN_ID. Revint Open Library, and the book shown always as it has already borrowed. Tried to download in different formats, and fortunately open Libriry detected that it was borrowed for me, but that I had a problem opening it. They gave me an option to download it again, and that solved my problem. After a few hours tinkering. I would have finished the book right now!

• clips from library for the FCPX external drive disappear

  First time user FCPX.

  I run an end iMac from 2012 and has been using iMovie 10.1.2 until yesterday.  Just before you buy FCPX, I ran out of hard drive space and got a disk external 4 TB and transferred my iMovie library here.  I've renamed the library external iMovie "iMovie" and deleted the one on my Mac, releasing 500 GB of space.  Tested with iMovie using the external drive, no problem, everything works ok.

  Then, I bought yesterday FCPX.  To have access to all my old clips in imovie, I used iMovie and open "library external iMovie" and used the 'send to Final Cut Pro library' command in the file menu of iMovie.  Everything seemed fine, as I was able to open the library in FCPX and all my clips and events were there.

  I thought everything was great, then I went to add some clips to FCPX of my video camera.  I created a second library FCPX and put the clips.  They have downloaded completely, but after downloading said it was over, my machine froze and I had to do a hard reboot by turning off.  This isn't all that unusual, sometimes my Mac crashes when I leave it alone for several hours.

  After that I turned on and opened FCPX, I see in the left pane, two libraries, and events, but some clips appear on my screen.  I opened and closed the library hoping to get the clips to the rear, without success.

  Any idea what went wrong or how to fix it?  I don't know whether to attribute the problem to computer freezing, or rather the use for the first time an external drive to host my files.

  If I can't understand what went wrong, and then I simply repeat the process I went through the first time and see if I get the same results, but I'd rather figure out what I did wrong and try to fix it, so I have a higher level of comfort, go ahead.   I hope that this will not be an experience repeat everything simply because I'm hosting my video files on an external drive.

  The problem is caused by the shutdown. You could see if there is a backup in the case of movies, but there are maybe not if you have imported only from the media.

  You cannot use this computer with FCP if hard it crashes. You have to get it repaired. No computer should crash like that unless you pull the plug. If you have problems to get a UPS to give you time to stop.

  I've used several methods to save my Aperture library, but he was told that there may be problems with some of these methods. I summarize the comments made by others here:

  -Time Machine

  -Carbon Copy clone

  Here are the methods that may be problematic:

  -Vaults opening (since Aperture 3.3)

  -Possibly a backup online service (BackBlaze & specifically mentioned SugarSync)

  I created a small (300 MB) Aperture library, then saved on BackBlaze. Then I restored the BackBlaze test library and downloaded on my computer. I tried to open the restored library and I got the message:

  "Opening has detected an inconsistency in your library. Please click on repair to avoid potential problems. »

  I clicked "Repair" and a few seconds later the open library. All the metadata and adjustments seem to be OK.

  I also sent a request for assistance to BackBlaze indicating that some opening users have had problems with the restoration of files opening and asked them to comment on. They usually take a day to answer. I'll post their comments here when I receive them.

  So far, their service seems to work with Aperture, but I'm skeptical rest since others have reported problems. Here is a link to their recommended procedures for the restoration of an Aperture with BackBlaze library.

  Have you ever tried to delete the iMovie preferences?  Elements of the user interface if it does not respond or cause accidents, deleting preferences frequently you contribute.

  To delete the iMovie preferences leaving iMovie, runs, and then press and hold options and command key at the same time, at the launch of iMovie. Keep now pressed the buttons firmly until you see a command prompt to remove the preference. Confirm.
