Koodo of Smartphones blackBerry 8530, no App World or by e-mail?

So, I bought a brand new Curve 8530 of Koodo Mobile, she runs v5.0.0.654 OS, and I can't seem to be able to join my blackberry to any e-mail at all. I tried a number of addresses and suppliers, short reboots [rshift + alt + delete], battery pulls, updated and shouting, but none of them seem to make my phone to allow me to use electronic mail.

In addition to this, I can't have access to blackberry App World at all either. I tried the same methods as above, in addition to uninstalling and then reinstalling App world using the desktop software for windows. Am I missing something, or is Koodo locked my main reason for buying this wonderful device?

If you have any ideas on how to solve or any of these questions, please, let me know, because I have accumulated my brain and these forums and I seem to not make any progress.

To use the services of RIM owners (including the AppWorld and Push email capability), you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers host BIS BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have a compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), you then have personal e-mail added to the e-mail Setup Wizard and AppWorld should then work.

    So I drove back and re-installed 7.0->

    (1) maps: "error at startup net_rim_bb_maps: class 'net.rim.device.api.lbs.maps.ui.ManeuverFiled' not found.

    (2) BB App World must be closed

    any help?

    I'm sorry, but the errors you posted seem somewhat independent... so I need clarification please:

    Unfortunately, "did not work" is not really diagnosable. What, exactly, have you tried? What, exactly, happened every step of what you tried?

    I do not see how these two errors are related to the first, you were trying to throw the maps app when it appeared? For the second, which came with the maps app? Or is separate #2 and lies somewhere in the process by using your AppWorld? Complete step by step of what you try, with a full explanation of what is happening at each stage, including the full text of all error messages, is essential to understand your situation and if all goes well to guide.     So I guess. My guess is that, once you upgrade to 7.1, you don't have to perform a few extra steps to ensure that all services were properly enabled on your BB. Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! You can try these few points in your process... either now (on 7.0.0.513) or after you re - try to upgrade to 7.1.0.366.

    I recently added a far East language pack to my BB. After that, App World Watch just 'loading' all the time without ever being charged, even after hours of waiting...

    UH... I think that what you're saying is that your BB model number is not one supports your carrier? If Yes, then this is useless. Using a BB on a medium which does not directly support this model number requires some very special stuff so he could work and they are not simple to perform, and they may not always work.     After I updated my BlackBerry App World to 3.1.4.25 version, the BB App World installed applications list is empty but I can always use them. Tried resets to 3 or more soft, uninstall and re-install BB App World, try using the desktop software and synchronization of media, but the list is still empty. Now, maybe it's not a problem but it's still boring, that I will not be able to know when new updates are available for my apps unless I have all uninstall and re - install again, I guess that. If someone else has had the same problem or everyone has set this thing yet?

    I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

    3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    4 AppWorld must close

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

    If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

    Hi there, 5 days ago I downloaded the latest update for bb messenger. I restarted the phone because he asked and when he had restored my app world was gone.

    I tried 5times to download again, but it says that its still on my phone. I also tried searhing for it bt no luck

    I called orange (my provider) who said that they were not expert blackberry and my only option was to completely erase the phone. The problem is that I don't have a computer or laptop, so I can't back up one of my info on my phone!

    Completely erase the phone?  Do me a favor and NEVER call Orange to help once again, OK?  They told you what a stupid idea!

    Now that my mini rant is over, let's get your App World on your phone.  First, go to your list of Applications.  Subsequently found the home screen options > device > application management.  Locate the application, highlight it with your mouse, press the menu key and select Remove.

    Then connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone has been recognized, click device at the top of the software and then restore or update (either one will work).  Choose the most recent restore point if you choose restore or click on view other Versions, if you chose the update.  With both methods, choose the most recent and the load on your phone.  This will reload App World and the icon on your phone.

    In addition, the latest version of the AppWorld is currently accessible only through your corporate data network - WiFi is not used for access to AppWorld under any circumstances. Therefore, you must subscribe to a sufficient level data plan so that the AppWorld to function.

    Further still, you should know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try:

    • GetJAR worldwide

    I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

    Finally, understand that RIM has no unilateral control over the availability of AppWorld. They must ensure that they and their partners meet local laws and operating a system of e-commerce legislation - and that can take time. AppWorld is in more than 110 countries now and adding more every month.

    When I try for the first time download App World on my laptop that it gives me an error that says that since I don't use IE it doesn't let me download.  The only problem is that I use IE.  Version 8.0.6001.18702 the only thing I can imagine can be confusing to the App Store, I use XP on VMWare on OSX?  Any ideas?
