Label Sony & sons at startup KDL40 EX500

Is there a way to avoid the label Sony and the sound at startup? I have a new Bravia KDL 40 EX500 - very slow at startup and a bit boring. THX

I have a Sony EX500 with that ugly noise at startup. I replaced it with an another EX500 that does not sound. Then I changed something in the Setup Menu and the sound returned. So there must be a way to disable.

    Occasionally, a new tab opens when you start Firefox in Windows 7 or Ubuntu 12.10. This opens to the page of the new tab by default in Firefox, I put in context: vacuum.     I would ask how others view their GUI with several command buttons (OK Boolean button).

    For example, it is a simple application where the user can start data acquisition by clicking on a button with text 'Start monitoring '. Instead of having another button with text "Stop monitoring", usually I just change the label text to "Stop monitoring" button, so it is obvious to the user that clicking on that will stop the process of monitoring the implementation (in the case of this button, I read the text of the actual label with property node in order to decide what message action to the loop the loop handler data acquisition of) GUI).

    If I have another button with the label as "Record of startup file" text, I do the same way: after saving the file, change the text 'Stop-save file.

    To avoid unnecessary additional programming, this button is in the enabled state if the application is already in the State of "monitoring". In addition, if there is a current folder (+ DAQ obviously), the user cannot press the button "stop monitoring". So according to the status of applications, some of the buttons are enabled, some in 'grey disabled' State.

    I wonder how others do their app/GUI?

    I don't know if it's a good way to do, but at least I can avoid check additional status of programming and by minimizing the number of buttons...

    I use the Boolean options text in the Properties menu where you can have different text for the States TRUE and FALSE to your buttons.  This eliminates some of the code that it sounds as you write.

    Play / Pause are the two options I usually use if buttons.

  • At startup, Firefox still displays my windows and labels last time, even though I have selected the option to view my homepage.

    Question: Although my option is to show my home page at startup, Firefox still displays my my windows and tabs from last time.

    I use Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with Windows Pro 10 and Firefox v 40.0.2
    I chose option to start Firefox to display my home page. Please see attached screenshot. The homepage is the Mozilla Firefox Start Page. However I tried other sites such as www.cognizant.com, www.cnn.com.

    I also tried to start by selecting a blank page. Always on starting Firefox displays the windows and tabs from last time.

    I also deleted the (renamed) prefs.js file and restarted firefox. This step NOT solved this problem.

    You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

    The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.

    You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
    The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

    You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

    You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

    Windows hides certain default file extensions.
    Among them .html and .ini and .js and .txt, and you can see only a file name without file extension.
    You can check the file extension (type) in the file properties in Windows Explorer via the context menu.

  • Startup and shut down problems on Sony VGN-AR51SU laptop with Vista Ultimate

    I have a Sony VGN-AR51SU laptop which has Vista Ultimate preloaded when it was purchased. The windows product key is noted on the underside of the computer.

    The computer is configured to close, either by closing the lid or will the icon start then shut down. I don't remember which option I used to shut down the computer.
    However when I press the power button the computer immediately emits three short beeps. The hard disk icon flashes as if it is starting, but the LCD display remains black and never even a blue screen comes. Devices powered by the computer the light upward.
    Eventuallu the hard drive icon will stop blinking.
    When I put the cover towards the bottom of the computer behaves as if it ends and all devices close but the power of the computer remains on, regardless whether I am with the main power or battery.
    Obviously I can not use the starting/closing track that I have a black screen.
    I tried all the options to remove lead AC and battery close and all devices, then re-boot just on AC power or battery or any combination of these options, etc etc etc and nothing makes a little difference.
    I keep my system and software updated and this problem was one of sudden nature IE. OK one day then the problem the next time I turned on the computer.
    Make three short beeps on start uo and the fact that the screen remains black gives a clue as to the problem?

  • I have connected my Sony KDL40 to my any via an anHDMI cable, but there is no picture

    I connected my new Sony KDL-40R470A to my computer via a HDMI cable, but the TV gets no signal. The computer is running Windows 7 with an ATI Radeon HD 4250. The computer sees the TV as a monitor and says that everything is working correctly, but the TV says no signal. Can anyone help?

    I feel like a genius. I thought about it.  Fortunately, because I had this computer built, I got the motherboard user guide. In the DVI HDMI rider section: J1, J2 this motherboard offers a DVI - D and HDMI port, only one of them can be used to connect the monitor at the same time. It was as simple as placing the jumpers of DVI - D to HDMI. Now, everything works fine. I appreciate your time and your help.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    I fight for free space on one of my older iMacs work and I am to the point that we cannot use it because the startup disk is full.  I've recently upgraded to Snow Leopard OSX Lion (10.7.5) so I could update our video editing software, Adobe Premier.

    We run all our video projects on external hard drives, which does not have the boot disk space and are always good on the erasure of files from the Recycle Bin, audio, photo and video so that they are not get bogged down.  About this Mac shows my 160 GB boot drive contains 8.87 GB Audio, 7.69 GB, 6,49 Photos GB movies, 6.58 GB Apps and a huge 129.34 GB of backups.  I have time Machine backed up on an external hard drive and can't seem to find out where these files are to be removed from the startup disk.

    Turn off time Machine and restart does not clear space.  I have even made the Terminal kill command no matter what auto backups, deleted device and old library version in iTunes, etc.  and I have no backup label appears when I bring up the screen of star wars of the time Machine. I went through so many stages and suggestions to get this machine working again.  I understand these backups are supposed to remove themselves automatically, but why are there still first place if I save on the outside?

    PS I'm not very computer savvy, but I know my way around.  Additional suggestions are appreciated - please let me know if I need to provide more information.

    Changes:

    Uninstalled some things via the control panel (I don't know where I can find a newspaper which has been uninstalled)

    Attempt to system restore and it failed.

    My diagnosis:

    First of all, some info on why the devices do not work.

    The USB controller claims there are insufficient system resources to complete the API. However, I am only using about 20% of my memory and my hard drive. If I deactivate and reactivate the device through Device Manager it starts working until the computer passes in mode 'sleep' or reboots.

    The Realtek PCIe controller and Intel Centrino Wireless adapter simply read {operation failed}. If I disable and re-enable these devices via Device Manager they begin to work until the computer mode "sleep" or reboots.

    The Microsoft Kernel Debug network adapter "is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed."

    Intel WiUSB - windows cannot load the drivers for this device (code 31).

    The HP support assistant tries to download and install "Wireless for windows drivers 8. The download succeeds, but the installation fails.

    At startup, windows thinks that there are no network adapters (other than bluetooth). After the reboot of the devices from the Device Manager, they appear in the section of the network adapters.

    I see. Unfortunately, the failure of the short DST means that the hard drive needs to be replaced. The computer is still under warranty?

    If so, you can contact HP Technical Support and ask them to send you a replacement. This replacement will come with recovery media. If you don't have an external CD drive, make sure you request a recovery rather than recovery disks USB. They should know that the model already, but, I would make sure. Once you have received the new hard disk, you will need to send the back of an old man in this same area, using the provided shipping label. The technician on the phone will give you the details on that.

    My Macbook Pro takes 6 to 8 minutes to start.

    I tried following different advice but without any changes to my problem.

    I have reset the PRAM and removed all the unnecessary elements of connection. But nothing has helped.

    I used EtreCheck to make a report and I hope someone would know how to read and is able to direct me to the guilty.

    I know it's an old machine that I use but I wouldn't so he can completely be outdate after 6 years of age.

  • Why is my vaio super slow at startup?

    When I say SLOW, I mean to a full 10 minutes after pressing the power button to access the windows form! It's really annoying. But after the start of the my laptop returns to normal and is fast again. Idk whats going on xD
    have not downloaded a lot to slow down my computer, I have norton antivirus, I reduced the number of programs that run at startup cigarette... what else is there to do? : (

    Wow! 10 minutes, this isn't a normal startup of desktop calendar. Try to run the performance control panel utility, also check for any spyware or other TSRs that may slow down the boot time (msconfig). If you are still unable to determine which service or program is responsible for delays, contact live chat.

  • dx2300, beep at startup

    I bought a computer format used DX2300 microtour. It worked wonderfully to home sellers. We have removed the son/cables and I took it home. When I reassembled everything I have no action on the (dual) monitors, no lghts on the wireless mouse or keyboard. The CPU is a single long beep on startup. The only thing I did for her was clean dust from the front vents and fans. I think that the seller had an external hard drive of 1 t bytes, but other than that, II think it is anyway. Any suggestions?

    Enter the BIOS (F10 at startup of the tap) and verify that the HARD disk and the memory is correctly recognized.

    Reinstall the memory modules and check the connections of the internal cables (especially the HARD drive). Check the AC voltage selection to check that it is set properly. Check the connection of the AC to the PC power cable.

    Something may have jarred loose during the move.

    Try to start with a monitor.

  • File missing at startup - Equium M70

    Satellite M70 - 173 model PSM77E is 8 months old and has a recurring problem at startup.
    "\Windows\system32\config\system" message after the self test screen and the boot process stops.

    I have made several product recovery operations but the blame inevitably sooner or later. Support PC world just takes me by the recovery of product but will not lift the machine due to software problem claimed.
    Any ideas what is the cause? My son needs the PC when it starts to uni in a few weeks!

    This sounds a if your hard drive is a failure. When you reinstall the operating system recovery CD, the files are always written to the same area of the hard drive, and I suspect that's why the recurrent guard problem.

    I suggest that you take a safe backup of your own data and then run a CHKDSK command on your hard drive to see if you have bad sectors. Ideally I replace the hard drive (or be replaced under warranty).

    I was working on this laptop for my brother, once he has been somehow infected by a Trojan, I ended up wiping the disk and replace Win 7 Home Premium with Ultimate, reinstall all the drivers, now I have a popup indicating:

    "The installed battery may not be properly connected to the computer or may not be compatible with the computer.

    Click 'OK' to enter mode, hibernation and remove and reinsert the battery.

    This battery provided with this computer, I reinserted the battery several times, this popup appears if I am connected or not, but the battery is fully charged. What to do now?

    That's because you didn't install the library share Sony or Sony Firmware Extension parser.

    As a work around you can disable the pop up with the following steps:

    1) click Start

    (2) click on run

    (3) type "MSCONFIG".

    (4) press on enter

    5) click on the Startup tab

    6) scroll down and look for ISButility
    (6) uncheck the box
    7-restart the PC
