I have connected my Sony KDL40 to my any via an anHDMI cable, but there is no picture

I connected my new Sony KDL-40R470A to my computer via a HDMI cable, but the TV gets no signal. The computer is running Windows 7 with an ATI Radeon HD 4250. The computer sees the TV as a monitor and says that everything is working correctly, but the TV says no signal. Can anyone help?

I feel like a genius. I thought about it.  Fortunately, because I had this computer built, I got the motherboard user guide. In the DVI HDMI rider section: J1, J2 this motherboard offers a DVI - D and HDMI port, only one of them can be used to connect the monitor at the same time. It was as simple as placing the jumpers of DVI - D to HDMI. Now, everything works fine. I appreciate your time and your help.

I have 2 problems. First of all, I can't save it as Narrator on PowerPoint. He says that I don't have a microphone. My microphone works because I can save otherwise, but there is a problem because I look like a squirrel! I put the voice until the lowest level I can.

I guess it's a problem with the microphone, which is probably broken somehow. If it is a taken as opposed to a micro USB microphone, you can get a micro usb to a friend (if possible) to test if it works using the microphone or not.

I say this because I had a microphone jack and he also had problems, as I've never had a problem with my USB microphone.

  • I have a 1998 Sony Viao space I can't connect to my DSL.

I am working on a Dell computer, but I have a 1998 Sony Viao has a ton more memory space and is much faster.  I installed Windows XP and bought and installed a Belkin USB 2.0 Ethernet adapter.  Still not connect to my DSL.  Been through the menu thte internet tools, have tried all different connections.  Nothing seems to work, it does not connect to my DSL.  Any advice on what to do next?

    Hello

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. What happens when you try to connect using Internet explorer?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

Check out the articles below and try the steps mentioned, check if it helps.

You receive a message "Limited or no connectivity" on a computer that is connected to the Internet by a DSL modem or a modem cable after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, see if the problem persists in safe mode with network mode.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Method 3

If the problem does not persist in safe mode with network then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • Hi, I have a camcorder Sony TRV 356 I am unable to connect on vista or windows 7 via USB

    Hello Sajid,

The community here is about the countries United States, Canada and Asia-Pacific. Your DCR-TRV356E model is a model British camcorder.

  • Could not find a way to connect my Sony headphones to my TV Bravia KDL-32BX310

My TV Bravia KDL-32BX310 has "Audio In" (red and white) female connectors, but there does appear to be an 'Audio OUT', so I can't find a way to connect my new Sony headphones. (It doesn't seem to have a 'digital output'-looking on the site of the port. Help please!

    Hello Gene,

What is the model number of Sony headphones? Most Sony headphones can be plugged into the Audio OUTPUT of a TV port. However, your TV Sony is not any Audio port OUT but has an optical Digital Audio OUT port. Only a few select Sony headphones have the possibility to connect to optical Digital OUT port of the TV.

If your headphones do not have the possibility to connect to the Audio Digital OUT from the TV, then, Alternatively, you can connect the Sony headphones to the Audio OUTPUT of the source device port. For example, if you look at the cable program and the decoder has the Audio OUTPUT port, you can connect the headset to the cable box to listen to the sound.

I'm trying to connect my Sony PVR/DTT player to my Qosmio G40 laptop via windows media player.
Once I have a picture on the S-Vidoe option in the set up TV signal and select next it say s it can not find the IR control cable and does not allow me to complete the whole upward.

What looks like the cable and where can I get a?. Thanks for your help.

Do you mean the control cable infrared?
AFAIK the G40 comes with different parts.
One of the parties should be the infrared emitter cable.

    It should looks like this:

It is necessary if the decoders are no longer responds to IR commands sent from Media Center or if the laptop running MCE does not support the IR transmitter.

    Hi gilbo225,

There are a few options you have, according to which ports are available on your TV.

    What is your TV? http://www.TigerDirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5687623

If it is your TV, so you can connect your PC using the "PC in ports", which are the VGA and audio port to connect to the back of your TV. He just use a standard VGA cable for the video, and then run the audio cable from the green line to the port of exit at the back of your PC in PC in audio port on the TV.

Then simply select PC as the video source on your TV.

You should still be able to get high-definition video via the VGA input as long as you set your display settings on the PC up to 1920 x 1080.

I have my PC set in place at home in this same configuration, but with a different brand TV. It works very well.
