  Hi all

  An example of code LV2009 that crashes whenever I run this VI is attached. There a while loop in which a shared single process variable is read and some operations performed table. It seems to be related to the combination of shared variable and the table to delete. Someone at - he seen this before in LV2009?

• LabVIEW 2009 Crash when record for previous

  I'm having a problem when you try to save a VI in LabVIEW 2009 to a previous version of LabVIEW, in this case 8.2, but itseems crashing no matter which version I chose.  I've narrowed the problem down to this:

  If the vi contains a structure of event I get the following error: unrecoverable internal error: 'MemoryManager.cpp', line 547

  If I remove the structure of the event, she records very well.  I even go the error if I create a vacuum vi and drop an empty event on the diagram structure.  No control, no other code.

  Is this a known issue?  Is this a problem with my copy of LV?  Is there a solution?  Removal of the structure of the event in the present application is not an option.

  So the solution is to save to LV 8.6, then open in 8.6 and save here to earlier versions.  It works, I have not tried to save 8.6 initially.

• LabVIEW 2009 linux crashes when editing a control, or a constant of resources VISA

  Linux crashes when I click on a constant resources VISA (block diagram) or control (front).  This happens on LabVIEW 2009 SP1 32-bit for Linux on CentOS (similar to RedHat 6.3) 6.3.  I have updated drivers VISA 5.1.2 and that did not help.  Thanks in advance for any ideas of five Linux guys out there.

  My problem has been resolved with LabVIEW 2012.  To answer your question, LabVIEW would crash only trying to select another device in the list.  Thanks for your help.

• LabVIEW 2009 SP1 crashes when moving large selection with the arrow key

  If I select a lot (10 or 15) diagram components and try to move some distance with the arrow button, I'm often a program crash.  Because a reduced number of components seems to hang after a longer distance traveled, it looks like some sort of buffer overflow error.  I don't see this problem when you use the mouse to move selections.

  I checked to make sure I have the latest version of the video driver for my NVIDIA Quatro FX570.  I also tried to work with no hardware acceleration and no handset, written.  What happens on Windows XP SP3 with all current updates.

  It became so bad that I have to do a save as every fifteen minutes to avoid losing data.

  Why not use my mouse for all movements?  Because it is not as specific and not so easy to limit to only one dimension of the movement.   My hand is not as stable as it once was.

  I'm hoping someone will have a suggestion that will clear up this problem.

  As I have indicated, I had the same problem with 8.5 and just DID a new install of Labview 2009.

  Since it is possible that my three monitors configuration, which of course requires more memory video, may be at the origin of the problem, I am satisfied with workaround by dragging the objects closer to their final destination and then using the arrow keys.

  Three monitors are ideal for the front, block and help/Internet/probe damaged.  When I got to work in the field with a single monitor, I felt severely handicapped.

• Problem loading of LabVIEW examples: "an error has occurred - system OR Web server does not work."

  On one of my computers, whenever I try to load any LabVIEW example, it does not load and I get this message. It works on other computers.

  How do I tell me what's not on the computers?

  OK I get it; the trick is to learn how to do a search of this forum with the right combination of magic words, and it may take a few tries. It seems the least better words. The words magical combination "OR Web Server system" showed me to go to the Panel > programs and repair LabVIEW; problem solved.

• RIO crashes when you use tcp communication and web server

  my controller cRIO crashes after a short time (usually less than a minute), when I use simultaneously to the web server (to interact with a remote control) and make some tcp communication (using STM 2.0 library) for data logging. Is it a problem of overall performance of the controller, or a problem of band network bandwidth (I'm happy to send some values every 100ms), or a programming problem; in the latter case, what should I do to make the system more stable?

  I am a complete newbie. I had to have an existing LabView project and have been asking if it can work with a PHP Web site. I would like to be able to create a form (for entry) on a Web page, and then go this LabView project entry existing. The existing LabView project then treats the input and generates a text file that the user wants to download from the site.

  So my question is, is it possible? If so, how to configure it and what products/costs might be involved?

  Hi Andy -.

  There are a few limitations "Remote panels" who probably will not do what you are trying to do as possible.  First, the remote panels have only runs on a Server Web of LabVIEW, and this server does not support PHP.  Integrate a web site that uses a web server with more features of LabVIEW is to put the server on a different port and then use an iFrame or something to integrate LabVIEW remote panel page into your own web site.  Communication back will probably have to use another protocol tansportation or to read and write files that they read and write.

  I highly recommend that you look in another function to LabVIEW, called "Web Services".  These are quite a bit different approach of the remote control and are available only on version 8.6 and later (and probably only editions of developers).  Services Web of LabVIEW allows you to perform a LabVIEW program (or modify an existing one) to connect back using XML.  It is a common place to consume and send commands to a Web Service of LabVIEW by using something like PHP or Flash.  However, you are responsible to provide interfacing features in the language that you use that consume the Web Service of LabVIEW.  For example, instead of a graphic on the front, you would need graphical data output and a PHP program that can do something with it.

  Web Services are quite handy if you need a 'light' client, as well as material interaction features of LabVIEW.

  It is possible, without using a data dashboard, to see and/or control a front panel LabVIEW on an iPhone using LabVIEW Web Server?

  You probably don't want to have just a VI appear on your iPhone, the way he looks at your computer anyway because the screws are not really designed for a mobile platform. Like, for example the buttons may be too small to press with fingers on such a small screen.

  What you need to do is to write a web page with HTML, Javascript, CSS (or any other tools that you can use for a web page) and have your web service of LabVIEW send data to the web page and the web page send data to the web service. • Is it possible to apply a compression as gzip with the web server of labview?

  I am currently implementing a web page will be provided by the NOR sbRIO 9636.  I was able to get the html, css and js served very well.  I'm curious to know if there is a way to implement gzip compression to help with page load times?

  OK, a few points:

  1. I heard that he discussed that you can theoretically install a Web server on the Linux based cRIO. But there's a great big disadvantage: I've never done or spoken to someone who did it I don't know how it actually works.
  2. Given the cheap price of the hardware of today a safer alternative would be to include a separate computer, whose only function is to host the web interface. There are many small computers that would be ideal for this application - which many were initially designed for use in home theater applications.

  The point of my post was that there are some limitations in the LV Web server you have to find your way around.

• My compiled program crashes after the first run (LabVIEW 2009)

  I have a compiled program created with LabVIEW 2009 which, in the first round, once the computer is restarted, works fine but after discontinuation of the program, it will not work properly.

  The program uses a compiled Launcher to dynamically activate a set of VI containing the expectation driven by State Machines (QDSM).  Begins subsequent program launcher module appears fine, and his progress bar shows that she starts each of the VI.  Once the Launcher is complete it removes memory launched Dynamics VI and caressed.  The spear that do not reach the main UI that VI is barely long enough for the observer to see (if there is one) then stops.  The program then went from memory I can say.  There is no process in memory or anything.

  Also, when I try to run the installed version of the exe file on a computer with installed 2009 development environment I get this behavior consistently successful launch once again.

  In both case, my program does raise all errors (that are connected), or runtime generates everything I can see.  Also, when I run my program in the development environment the program does that way.  He has no problem at all.

  I have used this style of architecture front of LV8.6 with all the problems.  Can anyone suggest some possible solutions or even a few debugging tips?  I've never had a problem that I could not duplicate in the development environment, so I'm not sure how to start to attack my question.

  I solved the problem I think that (at least with regard to the tests on this point revealed).   After that I added the possibility to connect the past States to of the QDSM, I was able to determine that the program was 'plant' after that I dynamically closed the Panel front of the Launcher.  My program is designed to close the Panel before the pitcher, then pop up the façade of the main user interface.   My EXE is inspired to hold the Launcher with my other files QDSM kept outdoors in specific directories.  What seemed to be happening is that when Launcher closed its façade and before UI opening upward the runtime engine decide since it is y no Windows Open he was closing down.  It's my guess on what might happen any way.  I modified my code to change the Launcher window to hidden and delay for 1/2 second to give a chance to fully start running to the main user interface.  This will correct the problem, or at least worked around her.  If someone out there can explain me exactly what is happening that I sure would appreciate it.

  Thanks for all the help that those of you who responded.  Your advice has been very beneficial and certainly led me to a faster resolution.

  The port of web services for LabVIEW is normally not the default port (80). It depends on your server settings.

• DocumentRoot in niwebserver.conf (LabVIEW 2009)

  I use the built-in web server of LV2009 and try to make my way through the creation of a stand-alone application.  So far, I've done pretty well, but I have some questions about the directives in the configuration file of the web server.  There seems to be conflicting information in the forum on the directives of path, so I'd like to pin down here.

  The two positions that seem to relate to what I've found directly are:

  Thus, can the path used for DocumentRoot be relative?  And if so, to what?

  I believe that your first link to the post of NathanK is correct. He says there that "in 2009 all paths relative in niwebserver.conf are relative to the location of the config itself". If the path can be relative and the path to the webserver.conf file.

  I think that the difference of its two positions is because the position in your second link about LabVIEW 8.6, while the post in your first link is about LabVIEW 2009, as well as information on the differences between the two versions.

• Not possible to activate the scripts on the Web server

  To use the script with a Web service, you must enable the feature on the Web of LabVIEW server. In LabVIEW, select the script on the Web Server: Configuration page in the dialog box Options to enable the use of scripts on the Web server.

  I activated the Web server and it works OK. But there is nothing called "Scripting" in the configuration page - and the script is executed (the code is just printed in the form of simple text).

  Anyone know how to activate the ESP script?

  Hi Jan,

  In fact, you use the ESP file instead of a static HTML file.  For example, if we had the static html file:

  This file can be located at something like /MyWebService/HelloWorld.html.

  If I then do something like have a page to say "Hello, Jan" or "Hello, Mark" I could use ESP.  In this case, your code might look like:

  The URL of such a web method is perhaps something like jan/MyWebService/Hellovar/Jan where Jan string literal passed to the terminal of a web method that can resemble

  

  In this example, the string "Jan" is passed to the terminal of the value of the VI.  What implementation of the Web method in the spec to build his signature might look like in /Hellovar /: value.

  So, back to your original question.  You embed not ESP breast and the HTML document.  Instead, you embed HTML inside a document of ESP and the rendering of the document in HTML format when accessing the URL of the Web method.  While the paper you mentioned earlier has an example project in that you can use as a reference

• Info general solution on Internet interface with active web server on microcontroller (Ethernet)

  My intention is to have the on-Board Unit (ATMEGA32) located in a remote place, somewhere over the internet (connected via Ethernet) connected (via CANBUS) for the fuel cell system for the measurement data (current and the temperature of the fuel cell).
  The end user and/or client must be able to display these data acquired via the browser on the internet. The main objective of this project is to prevent any pc dedicated as a simple web server, so I would like to know your general solutions.
  (I noticed that I can't impelent a web server on this microcontroller, but how do I set the GUI to display data on the browser for users?-I want to say I'm not accurate if the designed GUI (LabVIEW or c SHARP) must be in the internet (solution host & domain) or there are better solutions for her.)

  If you have a solution for the web server on the microcontroller and are convinced that architecture will work, it seems that your question is how to write a client for data.

  Some of the things you're talking about sounds like you want the web server on the microcontroller to respond to a fully functional GUI to any client. This may not be practical because of the computing power limited on the microcontroller and the difficulty of setting up and maintaining this type of server in a microcontroller environment.

  A more common architecture that I've seen is just to serve the raw data and let the client user to interpret the data and display them as graphics, etc., this means that the user must Access the microcontroller of a computer running a client that you make.

  You can use the communication/protocols/http client in labview palette or you can write a c# client that it is really a question of what data you need to acquire, and what language you are most comfortable in.
