  When I try to open my vi in LabVIEW 2010 only, it hangs and stops.  I have attached the vi, if someone can help me and maybe the file vi recover or at least so I can see the Bock diagram, it would be most appreciated.  Otherwise, I'll have to start over again.

  Interesting LabVIEW 2010 'characteristic', I discovered this morning.

  Attached are two identical screws, a registered in 2010 and a registered in 2009.  These screws have been written specifically to demonstrate the bug, I came across this afternoon.  Each VI when it is run needs you to find a specific program (window) opened in Microsoft Windows and bring it to the foreground.  It is based on 'user32.dll' to perform this operation.  It also allows you to specify the calling convention for the function call.

  LV 2009, calling convention works without error.  However, in LV 2010 the calling convention of the function must be "stdcall (WINAPI)" and not the default value of 'C '.  If the calling convention is 'C' LabVIEW hangs and then closes without warning.

  If you happen to have LV 2009 and 2010 LV on your computer, I would like to hear if this phenomenon is duplicated so that I can identify if the bug is LV 2010 related or is more specific to my personal configuration.

  COLD LAKE with the calling convention incorrect siliently crash LabVIEW can. LabVIEW 8.5 2009 could adjust the convention to call at run time if the user has selected the wrong option. In 2010, it is no longer a case. • RoboHelp freeze when opening project

  Dear community of users of RoboHelp,

  I recently moved from RoboHelp7 to RoboHelp8.0.2 and I am facing very slow performances at the opening project (over an hour)

  The project is big enough and was damaged. I was wondering if there is a utility, or to perform operations that would allow me to set the project and be able to work again!

  Welcome to the community.

  Try to close the project, deleting the CPD file and then reopen the project. Do not delete the XPJ file as well.

  Let us know if it improves things.

• Dialog system black appear/disappear when opening .jnlp files

  Hi all!

  I get a black and white text appear and disappear quickly when I try to open a .jnlp on a particular Web page. There is something here that other people can open it but I can't. I just get this box with what looks like the system dialog box. How I can understand what is happening so I can open the file?

• bookmarks and attachments disappear when opened with Adobe Reader 11.0.13

  I have a PDF file contains a few bookmarks and an attachment, it can be opened without any problem until the recent update of Adobe Reader (11.0.13), all attachment and bookmarks do not appear when it is opened with the latest Adobe Reader.)

  (this PDF file with 2 trailers, don't know if that's the reason)

  Is this a player new bug?

  The problem is that PDF files are not quite accurate because their flow Xref says it has N inputs but ends up containing N + 1, so new versions of reader that contain additional validations (for the strengthening of safety) are unable to process this object. For example, in the PDF @yr shared, if we made the changes:

  34/Size

  2952/Size

  TO:

  35/Size

  2953/Size

  (in the two components of the xref)

  This seems to be a bug in the producer that generates these PDF files.

• freezing when opening project

  My PPro CS5 has suddenly started to freeze during the process of opening loading multimedia files.  Nothing has been changed and everything worked well.  I have added nothing new that would cause a blip codec or other, just of the png.  Any suggestions on why this can happen and how I can get to reopen?

  This is a known bug and there is a difficulty.  Unfortunately, when we say know!

  The solution is to delete your files to preview and to re-record.  If you cannot open a project to do this, you will need to open the last project of Auto-Save and try again.

• Pro crashes when opening project

  Work in CS3.  I have a completed project, just export the final product, but when I open the project file I get this message-

  Try resetting preferences now the SHIFT key until the spash screen appears when you start PR then, create a new project and import the existing one in it. If it still does not work, try to open one of the projects auto-sauvé.

• RoboHelp 6.0 crashes when opening projects RH X 5

  Our company has just 'upgraded' RoboHelp X 5 to 6.0. We had any other problems with this new version. Some of our X 5 projects we can open, some of them we cannot. When we try to open some of our X 5 projects, the RoboHelp application crashes. We tried to remove the PCD files, etc and nothing seems to work but the removal of the index (file perfect). But then we have no clue. Even if we create a new index from scratch, then as soon as we open it next time, it crashes again. Worse, is that I talked to technical support of Adobe and assistance to installation about 20 times in the course of the last month and a half, and they were absolutely worthless! They also keep promising to call us back by promised time and it NEVER happens. Our company ordered 10 licenses for RoboHelp 6.0 and NONE of them are working properly AND the results of our projects varies according to each user. We receive all the mistakes and errors vary between our users. This product is NOT GOOD and we would NOT recommend it to anyone. Adobe needs serious improvements to their 6.0 product AND their support teams! We will spread the word to all blogs by Adobe, that we can find because they will not help us or until they help us.

  In collaboration with the team my BUSINESS, we have solved this problem on my machine by reinstalling Microsoft Windows. However, there are 2 others in my Department who encounter the same problem and they are going to be reinstalling Windows XP as well.

  We have not found the real problem with Adobe 6 X 5 vs. Our resolution seems to be a workaround.

  I spent way too much time on this problem. I'm happy with OUR team could help.

  Still not impressed with Adobe 60 or their "customer service."

• LabVIEW 2009 crashing when opening thermotron 2800/4800 control live

  IM in the early stages of prog. for the control of thermotron and im unable to open one of the screws, I got from thermotron on the control pc. they can be used on my pc of office design using the same verse. LabVIEW.

  the gpib interface is functional and tested using the II software titles thermotron. I deleted titles II to remove possible conflicts.

  I set up file structure the same as working one and preformed a massive compilation on the new dir th4800, where are the screws news.

  any ideas on what's left to check?

• CS4 is consistent with each time the open project

  My system has recently been upgraded from CS3 to CS4. Now I find that some but not all of my projects are in line with all the files in the project, every time I open this project. Even if I have Prime Minister to close then immediately reopen this project, all files will be again in line.

  My system is a Matrox RTX2 with the latest versions of the tools of MX and CS4 usinf Window 7 OS updates.

  OK, I had the same problem and nothing was out there regarding the fix. Support didn't know what to do, so I decided to think about it on my own and I think I have a solution. Keep in mind, I have experienced the problem in CS5, but it can work as well for older ones. Here go us.

  Steps to follow:

  1. I made a new projected and it called "delete"(I did to avoid loading the trimmed project permanently)

  3. in the Edit/Preferences/Media UNCHECK 2 boxes that talk about XMP files. Save and close the first.

  3. I then deleted all previous ' compliant' media IN the media Cache files. (Was my location of records: c:\users\"username"\roaming\adobe\common\)

  If your are not there simply to review it your "scratch disks" is assigned to.

  4. in the same location that the files above, you should see a leader ("MediaCoreQT...") XML, copy the file and put in place course (incase your project does not open) and delete the original. This will force the first to another XML file to reference the media.

  5 when opening project you you will see it in accordance with your media. Hopefully it will be the last time.

  6 save and exit after compliance is complete. Open it again and see if the problem persists. If it worked to remove the copy without danger and the newly made project files 'remove' and you should be good.

  I use Open/create/replace file in LabVIEW 2010 to open a text file.  It works fine until I have compile the code.  Then, I get error 7. I tried the paths that are similar to the following, but no doesn't work.

  c:\\file.txt

  c:\\file.txt

  c:\------\file.txt

  You must get the path to the .exe file.  Then remove the name of .vi and the .exe.  Then build the path from there to get your .txt file.  The way you have it, you treat the .exe to a folder rather than a file.  The text is no file not part of the .exe, you cannot create a path that includes the name of the .exe.

  1. I know that it is possible to run Labview 2010 in an XP environment. But is it also possible, when running Labview 2010 on an XP system, to build a project for a version that is useful in a Windows 7 environment?

  After recently upgrading to the latest version of firefox my dock disappears when I open the browser. I have to click on the naked office and dock the reappears. It does not occur with any other application. I checked my preferences of dock and nothing made any difference if changed.

  • Is the application in full screen? This causes the dock to disappear.
  • Also, is a shortcut for the application set to COMMAND-OPTION-D? This is the Mac OS shortcut to hide the dock
