LabVIEW executable becomes insensitive, Windows reports the lack of resources in trying to perform tasks of the Explorer

I have a test program that uses modules of NOR-9481 relay to switch the power part and pass a Keithley 2000 DMM to measure the voltage. This test must feed on and off the part x 3000 for 4 minutes and 4 minutes. I've implemented this drawing using a state machine design style. Timing is done in one minute increments by using the ' find Date/time in seconds ' function available with Labview 8.2. Every minute, a measurement is performed and the data is written to a text file.

-Algorithm measurements:

-Whatever it is, the instrument is initialized with a reset, between state machine loop

Measurment - function configures Volts DC and relax, (relay switch), send the trigger and read in instrument when SRQ asserts itself

-Switching algorithm:

-DAQmx create task w/Auto cleanup (T)

-DAQmx create TV - digital output

-Channel - DO property node. Reverse lines = False

-DAQmx generate 1 d digital data

-DAQmx write data w / Auto start (T)

I worked with the devices that we communicate with the bugs and they seem to work normally, but for the second time (yesterday, it was a mistake DAQmx) cycle 131 (17ish hours after the test), the program became unresponsive and windows will not open the Task Manager and windows Explorer reports "insufficient system resources" which tent to open a window. LabVIEW is not report an error...

Currently, I suspect the while loop that controls the timing and am put a WaitTillNextmsMultiple function in the loop the value 500.

I also wonder if the sequence DAQmx consumes memory and eventually consume all system resources.

If anyone has a problem with the cameras that I use his knowledge or ideas please help. Thank you

If the fat thing happens repeatedly... you answered your own question.

LV won't destroy resources until it closes as part of his routine of cleaning.

Create tasks and assign resources once when you start and reuse until finished, then destroy them.

  • How can I change the images in the window of the Explorer of Windows 7?

I use Windows Vista for the past years, and when you look at individual photos in windows Explorer, there is the sidebar that allows you to tag photos and also to make several minor changes (red eye, saturation, contrast, etc.).  Now I'm trying to do the same thing on Windows 7 and I do not see this option.  MS to get rid of him to 7?

Yes, windows photo viewer has been replaced.

There is no more editing via windows Explorer,

You can add tags and captions in windows Explorer, but it isn't in the Viewer

You can add text above information using the Info pane on the bottom of the weekend.

    Click on organize upper-left.

Point to page setup and click details pane.

Other changes must be made in a program full spectator not in the small display.

  • Processor 1 MHz Windows report?

I ran a scan of my PC system requirement Labs "Can You Run It", which uses Java to collect your machine system information and compare it to the configuration requirements for a selected game site.  I was surprised to see that my CPU has come as 1 MHz (Yes, 1 megahertz, not 1 gigahertz), and therefore my machine is deemed unable to run the program.  I have a core I7 3930 K, and in the past it did appear correctly on the system requirement Labs Web site.

Then I noticed that if I go to control panel and open 'System', I see in the summary under processor: "Intel (r) Core i7 - 3930 K CPU @ 3.2 GHz 1 MHz", just like that.

So, apparently, Windows doesn't know I have a 3930K, it considers just its running at 1 MHz for a reason any.  I know that is not the case, and check for an application like CPU - Z shows good speed.  So this isn't really a problem, BUT it's the kind of thing that will bother me.

I know Intel Enhanced SpeedStep technology will clock up to inactive to lower the heat and save power cores.  The thing is, I have disabled who.  And besides, I know that this is not up to 1 MHz clock.

Any help with this?  Thanks in advance!

I found the answer in my case.

If I disable the Turbo Mode for the CPU in the BIOS, the system Windows 7 summary indicates the frequency of the correct base processor 3.2 GHz.

When I re-activated the Turbo Mode, Windows is returned to showing the clock speed of my CPU like "1 MHz.

I know that I always had in the past in Turbo Mode, and Windows reported the correct base clock then.  So I'm not sure what has changed to make it work like that now.

I think he might have some 1 MHz processors in the 1970s!  Don't know why get Windows that's so wrong...

    Thank you

  • Why Windows Explorer crash if I shift-delete a directory that has been created as part of the 'libraries' of in the Exporer in the pane hierarchy of directory on the left side of the Explorer?

I just discovered a very basic bug in Windows 7 file Explorer:

Open the folder "libraries." Select any item under 'Libraries', for example 'Documents '. In the hierarchy of folders in the 'Documents' left right click and select 'New'-> 'folder '. Select the directory newly created in the hierarchy of folders (always in the left frame of the Explorer). Right-click in the right frame and select 'New'-> 'text Document '. Open the newly created document, enter text and save it. Now, again select the new folder in the hierarchy of folders in the left frame and type + . An error message appears stating something like "C:\Users\Public\Documents\FOO refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Make sure that the disc is inserted correctly, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it can't be located, the information may have been moved to another location. »

  • launch of the Explorer error lvproj

    Hello

I use Vista SP1 32-bit 10 LV and it works OK for a month.

I was doing some storage project / renaming etc but when I tried to restart using a window of the Explorer and double click on the .lvproj file I dialog "Windows cannot find ' c:\.  (my path) \test.lvproj' I'm still capable of launching the project properly form the start window.

Now, I also get the same problem with a new project!

Any ideas how LabVIEW works properly with the operating system again?

    Al

The problem seems to have disappeared!

Several reboots the computer seems to have fixed. I don't know if this makes it a problem Vista or LabVIEW?

  • Preview pane of the Explorer crashes then work after you close the error message.

Whenever I have use the preview pane in Windows Explorer to view the contents of, say, a file .reg, doc .txt or .ini file, it crashes with "Preview Handler replacement host has stopped working". I click on the option 'Close program', which is followed by an Application error: "Exception EAccessViolation in module ShellEh428.dll" etc. I which closes as well. Then the preview pane works without having to close and reopen the Explorer window. In fact, if I close and reopen, it happens all over again.

It's not that big a disadvantage because the window of the Explorer himself plant actually, but it would be nice to know why this is happening and if it can be prevented.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

I suggest you try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to boot in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 2: If the question does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Method 3: Also try to scanner SFC [SFC system] on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

  • LabVIEW 2010 executable runs under windows xp, but not in windows 7

Hi all.  Here's the situation.  We have Labview 2010 professional development on a computer running Windows XP.  I designed all my programs with this PC.  We have another PC which has Windows 7 with no Labview.  I'm trying to make the executable files and put them on the Windows 7 PC.  I have been here three executable files and move the Windows 7 PC.  One of the executables work correctly, the other two interrupt immediately.

Executables that stop have temperature limits and the program is apparently seen a low temperature and so stop the program.  Yet, these same executables work fine on the PC under Windows XP.  What seems to be the case, is that the program is expelled before allowing himself read the temperatures.  I use the modules of the series C 9213 and 9211 with 9188 Chassis.   My programs are showing 0 for temperatures.  Well, it's certainly in the low temp limit, so the program stops.  However, she should not do this.  I know there is little delay with the playback of all thermcouples in 9213 and 9211 modules, but this was not a problem with Windows XP.  Even if the program starts from scratch on the XP PC, temperatures immediately appear, or appear after a second or two.  Yes, I've rarely seen a temp 0 on the XP PC, but the program doesn't stop; Give it a second or two and the time appear.  Why is it that happens in Windows 7?

An executable that works has no measure of temperature.  It uses only 9481 modules and run the solenoids at a rate of about 0.2 seconds.  This executable works fine on both computers.

So what - this on the modules of temperature reading that is causing a problem in Windows 7?

    Other installation data :

-The XP PC has the updates Labview 2010 is compatible with

-The PC Win 7 not the latest updates of Labview 2010 there are has compatibility problems.  National Instruments has given me the compatible components, and they has several levels down by the most recent (for example MAX vs MAX 5.6 v14.0)

  • Labview 2010 8.1 Windows executables

    Greetings,

My development computer is a Windows 8.1 with LabView 2010 Professional machine. I created a project and published an executable with success. Obviously this works on my development system.

However, I have another machine Windows 8.1 (new installation, nothing about this). First, I installed the runtime Labview 2013 because (a) I thought that it would be compatible for older versions, and (b) it says it supports the Windows 8 operating system. Unfortunately when I tried to run the executable it gives me the following error:

Could not locate the LabVIEW runtime engine.

.. .requires a 2010 version (or compatible) Labview engine of execution. Contact the seller to [name of program] to correct this problem.

Okay, so I uninstalled the runtime of 2013 and restarted. Then I installed 2010 thought that is what it takes.

Gives me the exact same error as above.

I saw similar problems of windows 8, but nothing I could find about it.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

Why install the runtime 2013 when you have an application of 2010? You must also install the appropriate number of bits of the runtime.

Why not simply create an installer?

  • Is it possible to run an executable on a Windows Phone 8 Labview?

If I create an executable of Labview, it will be possible to run it on a Windows 8 phone?

No, as Mike has already said.

The reason is that an executable of LabVIEW contains a binary code that is compiled for the x 86 architecture CPU, and access to the Win32 API. Windows Phone general works on the ARM or RISC processors and provided only a subset of Win32 very limited in the past. With the new Windows RT technology that he actually moved even further the Win32 compatibility as it is all architecture is based on .net technology.

So even if you happen to get a processor Intel Atom based device Windows Phone that would be compatible x 86 it couldn't work, because a LabVIEW executable is an executable format portable Win32 is not a picture of .net bytecode.

  • How to keep external list of the window to the foreground of the window of labview

    Hello

I ran the .exe of my labview file using exce.vi. It wokrs too. but I have the problem with the dialogue window of file.if .exe, that I run the file .exe using the command line, it appears a dialogue window named for example 'START' if I press on Yes or no and then new dialog window appears and so on up to the finish. But the problem is the first dialogue window if poster in the foreground of my labview and other background (suppresed) .for then do further first I have downplayed my labview window.how could I keep showing this dialog window always in the foreground of my labview? Thank you.

There are 2 ways to make a window ALWAYS in front of your panel:

    1. child window.  A child window is always in front of its parent window.

    2. upper window.  Windows in the foreground are always in front of normal windows.

  • How to read the tag bluetooth data in labview 2015 running on Windows 10

    Hi all

I have a Development Board Nordic semiconductor nr51. This card is programmed as a tag bluetooth which simply announces his address with 16 bits of data appended to the end.

My laptop came with loan materials smart bluetooth. I installed an app interactor lighthouse to bluetooth on my laptop and the software is able to detect the tag as if shown on the image below.

I wanted to write a LabVIEW program that will simply be careful bluetooth headlights and notify me in my computer every time a lighthouse with the specified address is detected. This mobile application below is provided by the manufactuerer of the Board of Directors and I wanted to develop a LabVIEW program something similar to what will read the given data and extract values.

Somehow, all the sample applications provided data only shows how to read and write in a connected bletooth device but not analysis for tags. I also tried using the Bluetooth ' discover ' and it does not detect the bluetooth beacons.

Could someone provide me with the necessary information or example program for detecting / reading of tags bluetooth in LabVIEW 2015 running on Windows 10?

Do I need to install a third-party software to read data from bluetooth?

Bluetooth in LabVIEW function nodes using the Winsock interface to access bluetooth resources. This works very well for Bluetooth 2.0 devices but not Bluetooth 4.0 devices WHEAT aka. Microsoft has created a completely different interface for these resources API as the model of overall service for WHEAT devices has radically changed.

The API to use WHEAT devices is the API of the GATT (generic attribute profile) in Windows. There is supposedly a .net interface available that you can try to use (Windows.Devices.Bluetooth.GenericAttributeProfile). The WinAPI to lower level (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh450825(v=vs.85).aspx) is a C DLL API and does not lend at all to be called directly by the LabVIEW call library node, since some of the parameters of the function are quite complicated and you need to also access the SetupDI APIs to enumerate resources WHEAT and even harder to function parameters. In order to access this low-level API to write an intermediate DLL which results in low level API C a more acceptable API for LabVIEW.

Another possible problem is that Windows don't at least in Windows 8 not allows devices to pair per program. Microsoft wanted to force developers in the use of the "inbox" experience, which means that all users must go through Microsoft provided service pairing, instead of each request for implementation of his own matching technique.
