LabVIEW slow / crashes

Dear Sir.

We are developing an application in 2012 of Labview in which data are read from MODBUS TCP/IP port. These bits of data (about 100 pieces) configured as Boolean flags are processed in order to generate the value change events. When many of these events are generated, the Labview user interface response time slows down to a large extent or crashes sometimes.

Don't you think it's because of the execution of multiple event?

If so, is there a solution to this problem?

Our PC has 8 GB of RAM and processor core i5 with OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. If the operating system to Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit upgrade can help solve this problem?

Thank you

Kind regards

khmlv

You missed the structure of event unchecking the Lock Panel?

http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/D979D150E9FC253C86256BC7006F3E22

-Ideally, the treatment within the structure of the event must be such that it should be treated first and foremost next event occurs.

-The above would be my guess, if you post the code snippet / she would explain the little problem more clearly.

  • I restored Firefox to its default settings, but the slowness, crashing and nonresponse are not resolved

    Hello colleagues-Firefox users.

I followed the Commission indicated in the Support article on the slow, crash, etc. by restoring Firefox to its default settings. But the problems go away. The remains of the slow browser and still gives me error messages on a non-compliant script or plugin and crashes. To make matters worse I don't see the menu on the top tool bar items, I was so used to using, such as file, editing, display, etc.. I very often used the display menu to zoom on texts that are too small for me to read. Now I can not do. I tried to drag icons in the menu on the upper right of the page on the top tool bar above the address bar, but it is not the same thing as what I used to use before, and there is no File, Edit, View, tools in the menu icons. So now I see my g-mail Inbox in tiny little characters. I tried to use the Magnifier suggested in the troubleshooting of support page, but it's too heavy so I gave up.

Would someone kindly please help me with these questions? Thank you much in advance.

    Kind regards

If the zoom is your problem so just try to use the keyboard.
Hold down the control (Ctrl) key + "+" to zoom in any window.
Otherwise if the crash occurs suddenly so just try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox with the update. You brought a lot of changes manually, it might create problem. So reinstall once and check whether it is at your service.

  • LabVIEW 2009 Crash when record for previous

I'm having a problem when you try to save a VI in LabVIEW 2009 to a previous version of LabVIEW, in this case 8.2, but itseems crashing no matter which version I chose.  I've narrowed the problem down to this:

If the vi contains a structure of event I get the following error: unrecoverable internal error: 'MemoryManager.cpp', line 547

If I remove the structure of the event, she records very well.  I even go the error if I create a vacuum vi and drop an empty event on the diagram structure.  No control, no other code.

Is this a known issue?  Is this a problem with my copy of LV?  Is there a solution?  Removal of the structure of the event in the present application is not an option.

    Thank you

    Rob

So the solution is to save to LV 8.6, then open in 8.6 and save here to earlier versions.  It works, I have not tried to save 8.6 initially.

  • LabVIEW application crashes when you exit a VI with one or several clients on remote control

    Hi all

This is the question that I met with LabVIEW 8.2 and LabVIEW 8.6. I publish one of the screws dynamically launch my application as a Web page. Then I load the application and launch this dynamic VI and connect to this VI by using a web browser from a PC intranet. Then if I try to exit from VI when the client is still connected to it, the application crashes. Please see the attached picture.
This behavior occurs randomly. Sometimes, everything works as expected when you exit the VI - the main screen of the application appears and in the client side, there is a "remote connection Panel is closed.
What could be the reason for this?

    Thank you
    Luxama

Oops... The method of 'Close links' to work correctly. I apologize for the error.

Regarding the issue of application crash, I did this close relationship, then wait a few milliseconds and then quit the VI. Today, the application seems to work very well.

In the meantime, I had another doubt. Is there a way to link to the application instead of a VI?

    Thank you

The only clue of what precedes, I can find is NiViPxi.dll

I use a PXI basket then maybe it is to do with one of the devices?

I would be nice to have more clues, anyone know why labVIEW crash?

    Rgds,

    Sean

    Hi jinfone.t

I managed to root it do a PXI netway 72 dll and have solved the problem, (took a lot of effort!)

-L'accident only happen when you re run this particular VI you are talking about?

    Yes

-Are there any crash logs generated?

None that I know outside the exit, that I stuck on the screen.  It is possible there is something in the case of monitor

    -Making your VI?

It function tests our product, (IOT)

-Would it not possible to view the code?

Without seeing the drivers of your reach, it's just speculation...

Any time I have seen an accident like that of pilots, it was a call to a DLL that caused the problem. It may be that you run LV 64-bit tent called a 32-bit of the driver DLL.

  • LabVIEW repeatable crashes on Mac

    Confused by this new problem.

Platform: Mac OS x 10.6.5 (this problem first popped up while I was using 10.6.4 - I had previously no problem with 10.6.4)

    LabVIEW 2010

I can't open any subVIs instrument (created by me very well open subVIs) suddenly without crashing LabVIEW. It does not matter when the VI was created. I can't just open the subVIs. I have only last week (and before that).

I solved the problem by reinstalling LabVIEW and replacing all the instrument live. don't know what was wrong.

  • LabVIEW 2010 crash when calling user32.dll

Interesting LabVIEW 2010 'characteristic', I discovered this morning.

Attached are two identical screws, a registered in 2010 and a registered in 2009.  These screws have been written specifically to demonstrate the bug, I came across this afternoon.  Each VI when it is run needs you to find a specific program (window) opened in Microsoft Windows and bring it to the foreground.  It is based on 'user32.dll' to perform this operation.  It also allows you to specify the calling convention for the function call.

LV 2009, calling convention works without error.  However, in LV 2010 the calling convention of the function must be "stdcall (WINAPI)" and not the default value of 'C '.  If the calling convention is 'C' LabVIEW hangs and then closes without warning.

If you happen to have LV 2009 and 2010 LV on your computer, I would like to hear if this phenomenon is duplicated so that I can identify if the bug is LV 2010 related or is more specific to my personal configuration.

    Thank you

  • LabVIEW slow speed followed! Why?

I'm doing a wave of fishing by a func generator and I want oversight through a DAQ card in Labview. I can see the signal in the waveform chart area, but when I change frequency and amplitude, signal it does not quickly change in waveform graph! She changes after I stop and restart the program. In fact, I have 2 problems:

    1. My in Labview waveform chart changes as fast I change the input signal.
    2. My just in Labview waveform chart show the first signal that I put. After the change of signal, the display still shows the first signal and is slow and fixed in the window as an image! Please help me to solve my problem... Thank you very much

No widget is inside a loop. Then they will be written only once by implementation of VI.

I did not look at the code on the features, but it lacks a deep architecture...

  • Firefox 4 beta too slow / crashing after upgrade memory?

    Hello

my beta firefox started crashing my whole system yesterday and only noticeable change I did was upgrade memory of 3 to 4 GB of RAM...

I tested my system widely and it works very well until firefox is started, after that, the system started crashing and takes forever to be reactive. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, tried running without addons, I tried to close all the tabs and all Eske I remembered... still no luck.

I am desperate because I really wanted to keep this beta on my computer, and cuz is a new facility, I can not install firefox 3.6 on side by side, I only have an option 'upgrade' on the installation wizard...

What can I do to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

The steps to troubleshoot and diagnose problems of Firefox would say you always try in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode of course some additional software may conflict, it is even more likely if you are using a beta version of firefox and probably the beta or alpha some of the addons or plugins.

  • LabVIEW account crashes with a Windows user but not another

I am facing the following problem:

When my colleague is connected with her Windows user account and start my main VI (the startup process is long enough, because many LVOOP classes are instantiated dynamically) LabVIEW, LabVIEW block eventually (that is, the process of LabVIEW just end itself witout new order). The log file down LV (see attached file for more details) contains the following interesting line:

c:\builds\penguin\labview\branches\2010\dev\source\linker\HeapLinker.cpp(372): DWarn: double object (0x1e07444c) in 1229150280 Ref for [LinkIdentity 'XSettings.xctl' [workstation]

XSettings.xctl is an XControl I did, which is part of a façade of a class LVOOP method which is loaded dynamically into a school of my main VI.

Oddly enough, this problem will NOT occur when I'm connected with my own Windows user account.

Details: LV2010 SP1 32-bit; 64-bit Windows; We have all two administrator accounts.

Does anyone have a tip how this problem could be solved?

Mass of compilation of the affected class LVOOP solved the problem.

Uninstall the trial software and/or do a system restore to a time before installation. Then try again to install the trial software. If the problem returns, then it is probably a conflict between trial software and something currently installed on the system. Hey guys...

you want to say thanks for the effort for me.

I tried to use SG but ultimately got to him first by effect of LumetricColors. almost the same speed category, layout different, no follow-up, but I need this job done.

On the use of the RAM, I colored in first, with all of the scopes running direct with no frame drop on a montage of 4 k with layers of settings, tons of audio layers and NEAT video. I don't have half of the use of the memory of SG. Really weird because they use the same structure. Only, I don't know if they use the same bit rate.

In any case, I did my job.

But I still have hope I'll use SG someday.

Thanks for the bug report link. It is useful. hope that they fix it.

    Thanks a lot again. See yous autour (;
