  Toshiba Satellite L100 113 PSLA3E-02401JRU starts slowly after upgrade memory with Kingston KTT533D2-512 (512 MB) of memory.

  Have you used exactly the same memory modules?
  If this isn't the case, then perhaps there are a few compatibility issues.

  Usually, after the insertion of the modules you must enter the BIOS and then save the settings. Please it and eventually the laptop will start without any problems.

  When I open about 15 sites in firefox 6.0 and 6.0.1 with Morning coffee add-on version 1.35 there not too slow to browse all the it takes about 30 min or more some time never load sites
  but when I do in firefox 5, 5.0.1, or 3. XX is the browsing speed is good and take about 2-3 minutes to completely cover each of them.
  I think that there is a problem with several tab navigation in firefox 6 or maybe a security that allows to slow to browse many sites.

  Upgrade to 10.0.6 - 2700073 this morning, and workstation crashes as soon as I start it.

  The details are in the attached ZIP file:

  -capture of screen crash

  -captures of three log entries of applications to screen the accident events

  -vminst.txt, which has been updated at the time of the accident

  Had the same problem of crash after the upgrade and after some research I found this post which gives a few details why the crash occurs.

  To solve the problem simply do the following:

  Find the file libcurl.dll in your VMware Workstation installation folder.

  (I found 3 cases on my machine windows 8.1)

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\VMware Workstation\x64

  C:\Program Files (x 86) | VMware\VMware workstation

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\VMware Workstation\OVFTool

  Make a copy of the files in the first 2 files with a modified date of 04/28/2015

  Replace with a copy of the file in the 3rd record (\OVFTool) before the date last updated on 02/04/2015

  Start VMware Workstation

  This fixed the issue and no uninstall or reinstall required, I tested and did not have any issue.

  I take no credit for this that the problem was discovered in the post below, which has more details on the exact cause.

  I can't open FF after an upgrade. The first time I tried to upgrade I had to cancel the upgrade before completing that I was called away. The second attempt went up the end OK with no error reporting. However, I can't start FF. I can't not try safe mode as if I try to open while now shift key pressed to the bottom of the screen asking if I want to open it in safe mode flashes by quickly and goes directly to the screen of the fault.   So I too just upgraded to Sierra, and I have two problems.  The first I noticed almost immediately after a reboot is something is causing fans to run almost non-stop.  I looked at the level of the console and I see that several root applications use more than 100% of the time CPU.  What the hell is happening here?

  Second, Mail has now slowed down to the point that it is almost unusable.  I click on an email and it will literally be anywhere from 15 to 20 seconds for the mail to open.  Not a complex HTML with email of old thing plain video simple.  What the hell is happening here?  It's maddening.

  I used to own a computer laptop dv6-4024tx Pavilion which I gave to my father to use after you have bought a new laptop for my part. It was in pretty good condition when I gave it to him, with the only problem being that she would get very hot unless a cooling pad was used (which I it comes with). At the time, it was running Windows 7 Home Premium with no problems and everything was fine. However, it might be interesting to note that while I had it I had problems with random blue screens while I was with the latest graphics drivers, so I drove back to the drivers supplied on the support page for this laptop. After I "upgraded" to Windows 10 (do not perform a clean install) for my dad, the laptop would randomly crash and display something like the photo that I have attached, before going empty and show again several times. Believing that it would be a problem with the GPU, I went and Display Driver Uninstaller to remove completely all AMD drivers and software, downloaded the latest driver on the AMD website and installed. It seemed to temporarily solve the problem, but as it's always within 30 days of installation, I offered to go back to Windows 7, but my father wanted to leave it and see how it happened. Oddly enough, for the next month, it never reported the laptop crashing again and the time period for return finally expired. The problem of course back then I tried the same solution from before but the noise continued. I tried to disable the GPU completely from the Device Manager, so that the laptop was running with Microsoft Basic display adapter. He seems to have stopped the fracas, but less than a week my father told me that he had crashed again.  I tried to restore the laptop to a system image I had done years ago, but I learned that you cannot restore an image to a different version of Windows System. Finally, as a last resort I backed everything up and made a real clean install of Windows 10, and the problem has not yet disappear.

  My goal now is to return the Windows 7 laptop somehow. I can mount a virtual image of the system hard drive and access all the recovery files provided by HP, specifically the Recovery Manager. From there, I can do a recovery USB or DVD (s) we hope to restore the laptop to all conditions of factory (so theoretically return to Windows 7). I will try this, but I need a flash player more than 20 GB or several blank DVDs I don't currently. In addition, Recovery Manager says that this medium can never be created once, so it save me time and money (not to mention my last lifeline) if someone could please share their views on the question of whether this method would be successful or not. I know in case it doesn't work, there is always the question of registration of the OS by Microsoft, but I can cross that bridge when I get to it.
