LabVIEW Tech Preview view

I'll cut to the Chase.

Is it not time to pop a bullet in the Tech Preview and move on to a true 'next gen' technology of programming and visualization?

We all rationally and intuitively know this is simply and especially some Polish on what a revolutionary concept of programming some 30 years, which have been still had to wade into the hands of a pretty bad, at best, SW dev. org. But don't get me wrong; I'm NOT talking the individual dev here, but the Organization as a whole.

  • Microsoft Wireless Display fit on Windows 7 or 10 Tech Preview peripheral?

I have a few windows 7 laptops and a tech running windows 10 preview and while windows 10 just seems not yet to have the support of all, windows 7 should have for the screen based miracast based application.

a laptop running Windows 7 and has intel Centrino wireless card which I believe is capable of WiDi.  is this able to miracast to the MWDA?  How to do this if possible?

second laptop has a wireless card upgraded to sort N 1103 wireless Atheros Killer band.  also under windows 7.  I don't think that WiDi is capable for this card, but it should be able to Miracast via the software comes.

last laptop was also killer 1103 card but this one saw windows 10 on this technique.

currently im having the problem of res of 1366 x 768 with my SP3 and my droid razr M unable to connect to miracast the screen at all so I have to still see wireless display works in the native resolution of 1920 x 1080.

any help with this would be awesome and if any Microsoft people read this MWDA needs software patch to SP3 ASAP ive seen a lot of complaints about this issue of res.  Some recommend disableing wifi and bt to make it work then reconnect everything in a certain order.  look into it please and fix as soon as possible I want my chrome $ 64 (after taxes) ride to work... otherwise I could have just bought chrome cast.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

You can solve many problems by installing the most recent drivers for your PC and the latest firmware for your wireless display or the Miracast adapter. For more information on installing the drivers on your PC, see automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware. To update the firmware on your display adapter or wireless, go to the Support section of the manufacturer's Web site, search on your specific device and follow their instructions to download and install this firmware.

  • Impossible to uninstall windows 10 tech preview

My son installed the technical preview Windows 10 on my PC and now I am unable to uninstall or to revert to Windows 7. I have the 3 recovery DVDs I created when I got the PC, but even if they are appearing on my records they do not autorun.  I tried to access the start menu by rebooting - no luck. The recovery option only restores to a fresh 10 Windows.

    Hi Mick,

    You are welcome

Install Windows from what is essentially a retail disk is usually less problematic than with recovery media, so I hope that there is no slack - just post back if there is.

I get a black screen when I try to listen to extracts or view clips which show and play on the line of the storyboard and time table.  I have vista ultimate and have compiled HD MVI files to the storyboard table.

Windows Movie Maker (WMM) does not support the mvi file formats.
These are supported by WMM file formats:
Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

What you need to do is to get a video converter that can convert the formats mvi formats supported by WMM, namely the AVI.
I looked on the net. I couldn't find a FREE mvi to avi converter. What I've found are the ones you have to buy.
Maybe someone knows where to find a free MVI to AVI Converter.

  • Partition recovery lost after upgrade to Windows 10 Tech Preview

When I bought my Acer Aspire E1 - 510P it came with windows 8 pre installed and there is no CD-ROM/dvd-rom in this laptop. Well, I installed Win 10 and it has messed up the windows 8 recovery drive, it installs the win10 whenever you get back so I lost my windows 8. Is not a big problem because I like window 10 now my problem is the windows 10 is to be free with the first year of sales, but because I don't have my pre installed win 8 that everything would be more I still get the 10 free victory.   The only way to get the rear windows 8 is buying for $50.00 acer recovery media, that I won't buy unless I absolutely have to.

So I still would be able to get the win 10 free?

    (1) the instructions about test Windows preview 10 said he would remove your ability to restore to the factory. Please ensure that you read the instructions more carefully.

    (2) you don't need to buy recovery for Windows 8 to Asus.  This would have all your drivers, but you can also just get the Microsoft recovery files directly, then go get the drivers from the Asus site.  This way you can make a free complete restoration.

    (3) regardless of the way you collect, you can always get Windows 10 free.

  • Enterprise 64 Windows 10 10074 to 10130 update fails with drive LSI Paravirtual & View Agent gives BSOD on Ctrl + Alt + Ins\Del

I continued to try to update version 10074 to 10130 and it would be to start the Recovery Wizard. Starting in Windows it would bring the 0x8024001e error.

The virtual machine has paravirtual disk controller. I added a second drive SCSI 2:1 and changed this LSI SAS controller and booted up and configured the drive. Then I stop and changed the paravirtual to SAS drive. Then the update was successful. Could be a coincidence, but I tried half a dozen times before.

Once updated, I changed back to paravirtual and things were fine, at least with a tip upward.

Trying to connect view Agent 6.0.2 - 2331487 or 6.1.1 - 2769635 were installed results in a BSOD with error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (kbdclass.sys). Remove the agent from the view and the Ctrl + Alt + Delete works very well, but now we cannot use view horizon on Windows 10 Tech Preview. So sad.

  • deploy Labview on Solaris

    Hello world
The project I'm working on that has two parts. Part 1 is data on a Solaris system. Part 2, supercomputers, already made in Labview on Windows (at least, so far).
The problem, I hope you can help me with is in part 2. My internal clients get the rash when Windows is mentioned (they are old-school, UNIX command line, engineers, who the only VI, they know, is the popular "vi" text editor UNIX intensive). I want to port the supercomputers and beautiful parcels that Labview provides in Solaris, to keep them happy.
I could come up with these options, which involves my Laview existing (with a few minor changes maybe) code reuse:
    (1) get and older Solaris Labview with application builder, so I can deploy the program for end users... can I get it back? If so, how?
    (2) download a recent version of Linux and test it on Solaris... Since Linux and Unix are so similar, I guess there are little hope on that. Has anyone tried this before? any opinion on this approach (perhaps you are 100% positive, it is worth a try, or 100% positive, this will not work)?
    (3) I have the toolkit of the Internet. Reading (a little) about it, it seems there is a way to 'see' a VI running on a PC via a web browser running on another machine (front only). If this is true, I could potentially run my VI on Windows and have my Windows-allergic users see the plots through a browser. Is this possible? If not, is there something similar I can do?
    (4) my current solution, if none of the above work, would be to deploy a Windows executable (pass them their allergy) and installed it on a remote PC, which can be accessed using VNC. The VI would get (produced in part 1, Solaris) data through the network, a path of UNIX (via FTP or simple mapping of Windows player through a Samba server).
I would appreciate comments about my options, or options/ideas.
    Thank you very much!
PS: currently using Solaris 10 and Labview 8.2 for Windows

    Dennis Knutson says:

    3. the internet Toolbox is not at all necessary. Signs of distance is a feature in LabVIEW. To view web pages, you must install a compatible runtime engine. If you have 7.1 for windows and you can save backup so that you might be able to use this option. You must also 8.0 as it's the only version that you can use to save as a 7.1.

    (3) I want to make sure I understand: I have a PC (for my code) and a Sun (Sparc. For my users) machine. I run the VI on the PC and use a browser on the Sun to see the VI running on the PC. Should I have the runtime on the machine of Sun to allow the browser to see the VI? If this is the case, I have a similar problem as option 1.

Thank you very much for your answer!

Yes, you need the runtime on SPARC. Execution is always available for download. The difference with option 1 is that you would look for a windows version 7.1 and which would be much simpler than to try to find a version of solaris to 7.1.

Another option that might work would be to spend at least 8.6 and you can deploy VIs as long as web services. This does not require a LabVIEW implementation installed on the client. This isn't something that I have experience with, but you might want to pursue this avenue.

  • Windows Server Essentials 2016 Technical Preview 4 (pasted on the progress of the update)

After a basic installation otherwise successful Tech Preview of Windows

Server Essentials, the update of the server and the configuration remains stuck. Preparation and

Server update is the first thing to do before using the technical preview, as

the percentage gets stuck on stupid by 17%. That's nice. Plus I'm

running this operating system on a virtual machine in case things get glitch

and problems so my hardware will not be affected. I really didn't

know what to do to correct this stuck on the issue of 17% of all. I tried to follow all the

educational guidance provided on the Tech Net Web site for the best

possible installation drive. I went through the whole recommended procedures

for a little insurance that the Preview facility will provide a ' get up and.

Running"status once the Windows Server Essentials range has completed his game to the top. All the

This headache never paid once the update and configuration server guest

has started. Stuck on 17% was the furthest progress which lasted for 4 hours before I

Finally called, she leaves. Any suggestions or tips? What is my virtual machine

to blame? The wrong virtual machine configurations? They were all failing

except as suggested in the Tech Net tutorials on the rise beyond 800 MG RAM.

  • W511 Windows 10 Technical Preview 0xc0000428

    Hi all

First of all, I got this error: 0xc0000428 after my last Technical Preview of Windows Update a few days ago.

It all started with not be able to connect or find any wifi at all.

Now that the error does not, but during all the TS I now starts and says its done some modifications, it is said with a Windows warning window:

"Windows is unable to complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart

    installation. "

So I guess the the smartest thing is to return to the window 8 new.

Before I installed Windows Technical Preview that I made the backup of Microsoft asked,

    assume that it is this:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/preview-FAQ#FAQ=TAB0

At least, it is in the installation steps.

And this is how the file looks like:

    boot

    EFI

    sources

    Bootmgr

    Bootmgr.EFI

    reagent

but there was NO any file installation or AutoPlay,

so, how can I do this restore to Windows 8?

I have already downloaded the site Web of Microsofts Windows 8.1,

    shooting these files:

    Autorun

    Setup

And I put them as well as the backup, I created, added to the USB

and has managed to startup, touchscreen, keyboard and mouse work, so I tried RE mode, or go

Back to older tech preview 4, tried all options. but nothing works.

Then I loaded the USB with the Windows 8.1 that I downloaded and this place starts.

and it's getting ready to install, but the touch screen does not work,

the keyboard does not work, the mouse does not work, so I can't click next to start

    installation.

Same thing Windows 8.1 when I insert the USB with Windows Technical Preview.

I can go into the BIOS with the lower Volume and the power button pressed together until the BIOS is displayed.

    It also runs Thouch.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

    Zenpotter

    Hi kirankp25,

    Thanks for the reply.

I solved it yesterday, I wrote the first time I had tried all the options,

I thought, but my 15 year old nephew said that I did not

the clean install, in which I did later, when the option of

Remove the module from TPM - which is something about the possibility to encrypt your

HD with bitclocker and so on, I removed it and everything worked.

Not sure if it was possible without deleting it, in any case, now I still write on

    My W511 with keyboard.

Looks like it works a lot better now, with Windows Technical Preview.

It is probably Acer built the Windows 8 to work perfectly with this specific operating system.

with installing custom drivers and so on. I guess you know what I mean!

Thank you for this forum even exist.
