  I have from time to time perform a safe boot when problems.

  For secure boot, all processes seem to be loaded to RAM, the RAM usage is much higher than normal. When I restart again (not in safe mode), the use of the RAM remains the same that when in safe mode! I expect to get back to normal, but this isn't the case. The only way I have found to reset the RAM usage is to reinstall OS X.  I'm a noob with OS X so please excuse me if this is a stupid question!

  tomorrow I update the BIOS to the version the most recent (2.58), after this operation, my laptop cannot start: by pressing the power-on button displays only a black screen and the market led...

  I have tried everything I can do to make it work, I was ready to call for a repair under warranty support, when I tried to remove the extra 4 GB RAM: whitout it my laptop starts fine... I try to replace the module with an another 4 GB, which is new, but without success.

  So, after updating the bios I can use my laptop but without the additional RAM modules installed... obiuvsly, it works fine before.

  Is a defective motherboard\memory slot or there is something that I can check? I need at least 8 GB for my work...

• ESX using half of the total RAM after installation

  I just loaded ESX 3.5 Update 1 on a Dell R900 which has 128 GB of RAM installed.  After connection to the host (before adding virtual machines) 65 gb of RAM is already used by "system memory".  No idea why?  Charge same version of ESX on a Dell PE2950 with 32 GB of RAM and that's fine.

• Lack of music into playlists after iCloud question yesterday

  Yesterday, there was a problem with iCloud in which connections with the Apple's music have been interrupted. After that the problem was apparently solved, I now double playlists and all the tracks in the playlists are not there, a few, in some cases only 1. This is the same experience on my macbook, iMac and iPhone. I disconnected and folder, synchronize my iCloud, on or off the option of Apple's music library. I have tried these things on all 3 devices and and still not see the tracks. All my songs are in my library and all my playlists are there... it's just all the tracks are not in playlists is the addition of double playlists (and even those who do not match between the two.

  I replaced my file of itl iTunes library with the file since yesterday morning and when I restart iTunes, I can see the tracks that should be in playlists, but they are grey and the iCloud library begins to update, all the tracks again disappear and playlists double return.

  Called Apple support and talk to a counselor and Advisor of sr and they couldn't help. If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful.

  Help I've just updated the bios of my laptop of version 1.20 to 1.40 from 'Toshiba Service Station'

  now my RAM runs at 1333 Mhz instead of 1600 Mhz

  I also checked the BIOS and there is no option to change the speed of the RAM. I have attached the screenshot below.

  I m not sure but I think the problem are two different modules. They come from different manufacturers have different abilities.

  If you want to, or more than 1 GB RAM, use should use the same modules. At a time when prices are cheap.

• HP Envy h8 - 1400z: lack the 2nd hard drive after windows update

  Discount Windows 8 for us solve a problem.  Before the update, I had two drives of 1 TB.  The first hard drive was for the OS C: and D: for the recovery partition.  The second disc has a partition called E: and has been used for data.

  After the update, I still have my partitions C: and D: as before on my first hard drive.   However, no D:.  Using disk management, the first hard disk is visible and it has C: and D:, as well as a few other partitions I do not recognize but appear to be associated with the update. Disk management does not show the second hard drive.

  Starting in UEFI shows the 2nd disc and it is recognized as a 1 TB drive and I have no reason to believe that the drive has failed.

  Did some research and see that others have lost a partition during the refresh, but the road is still visible in disk management.   Their problem is resolved by assigning a drive letter.  However, this does not work for me because the operating system does not see the drive.

  Is it possible that refresh changed my disks in raid 1?  How I check that?  Other thoughts on how I can get my drive back?

  Since it does not appear in the BIOS but not in the operating system, let me start with a few BIOS tests on two hard drives. In fact, I suggest doing all the tests of material.

  I see no reason for a system spontaneously create a RAID where there were none before. If the system was a RAID on the second drive would be a mirror of the first, and it must always appear in disk management.

  After testing the system, you can always try remove the second disc and test it using a disk external drive bay on another device and see if it is readable.

  Let me know what you find.

• Lack of BITS and WU after downloading the XP SP3, tried the ID Article: 883614 but not CD SP3

  Computer has worked fine until the update to SP3 this week. Now, WU hangs and refused to work. Distressed, I get the message that the registration for the service is missing or damaged. When I run services bits both WU files do not exist. I tried the following but I am invited to put on a cd and I do not have a SP3 cd since I downloaded from MS. I have the recovery DVD that I made with my HP Pavilion but they are XP Home Edition SP2. I should put that or there at - it another way? The machine doesn't seem to work with the given code since it requires the cd. I'm not a technical person and have found it very difficult to navigate through it all. Thank you for your help.

  Start > run

  services.MSC - see if bits (background intel... etc) is missing

  If so,.

  Start > run

  %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi, InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\qmgr.inf

  (install from the i386 folder, either local or source of installation/sp)

  reset

  Start > run

  services.msc

  (check background intelligent transfer (bits) is in the list, but do not try to start it again)

  Start > run

  regsvr32 qmgr.dll

  Start > run

  services.msc

  start the bits service (if you the auto value, it will return to manual after the reboot, so don't bother)

  do updates

  Restart and check that everything works well

• Lack of export presets custom after update

  After SOUL update with the latest update and Premiere Pro my custom export settings I created when exporting from Premiere Pro after that opens the export window is missing. What is a Premiere Pro question or the question of the SOUL. Parameters are created in the export window that opens on the front.   I found the file with the old presets so I just copied to the new folder and the presets are back.

  I'm opening files and make updates. All these files that I could open 1: 25 with no problem and several other running programs. I'm not able to open these files 2 today. They are smaller (one is 41 MB, the other is 42) than the other the majority of (the largest is 69 MB) files that open fine. I restarted Illustrator and my machine and tried to open it without anything else running without success... what could possibly go? I see that this problem is mentioned several times in the past 3 months.

  Sure no problem. Compatible PDF makes you bigger files, so your chances of corruption which increases a lot.  Since you have more than one, it looks like something different to a bad block on a disk. Nothing in common on these files.

  You can place the damaged file into a new fresh illustrator file, and then use flatten transparency. While this can put everything on a single layer, it can help out you.
