Lack of color on MAC

I have two computers connected wireless to my HP Photosmart 7280. Running on Winsdows 7 and the other a new Mac. Had problems printing, so downloaded software and driver again on the model of windows. Now, it works well with all the correct colors. However, the MAC spit prints where the colors are all wrong. I printed a page of analysis on the MAC, which tells me that black, yellow and the two blue are ok, but shows nothing for the light magenta and magenta. How is this possible of the arev colors available on the windows 7?

I just got my new operational computer.

    Mac Pro - Yosemite 10.10.3

    Illustrator CC 2014_18.1.1

    This seems a bit odd.

I created a file Illustrator CC.

I wrote then that file with a color. (Mac > file > Tag)

When I recorded this Illustrator file, the color tag is removed.

    What is happening with this?

I never had this problem in the past with previous Illustrator and other Mac OS versions.

    I tested other applications.

This ONLY happens when you save files Illustrator CC 2014.

  • Strange problem with measurement of the color under Mac.

Hello, I have a strange problem with measurement of the color under Mac. For example I create a gradient in Photoshop color 200 200 200 color 240 240 240. When I measure the color of the gradient with the Photoshop color measurement tool or with the built in OS X color measurement tool measured color is of 200 199 197 to 240 240 238. I measured the same gradient with Photoshop for PC and the values are OK (the same values that I create).

I don't know what the problem is, but I think that the colors that I create are the same I have measure after creating them and also values between Mac and PC. I appreciate much help or information you could give me that helps me understand what is happening here.

    Thank you for your time

    Marcelo.

Yep, you guessed it, evidence as monitor basically removes all profiling and just offer it right.

is it possible to make the OS X color measurement tool to measure the original color values

You mean the colors of paper - No., as I said photoshop filter your image through the profile document, proof of installation and the monitor profile. Why use Digital color meter for this though?

I don't understand what is measurement of color values that will change every time point calibrate it my monitor.

Because color values are "larger" what is on your monitor. Your monitor (via photoshop) makes only the best he can to display these values, which can be anything from LAB colors outside the range of your monitor - to the CMYK color. Calibration, it is the only way to allow your monitor to do this in any way accurately. (never really impossible) The monitors have a certain range and are only representations / would the REAL colors who is the holder of a document, with a profile. There's only one good reason to measure the monitor values so that is to build a monitor profile.

  • Lack of color

I replaced my ink cartridges and now the color magneta is missing on my HP7510... I went through ALL the steps (own cartridges/events), own connections, etc. Reset... Nothing seems to work.  Also, I can't get my printer to print just b & W in the meantime (so everything will come out blue/green because the magneta is missing).  I'm running on a Mac, so how do I change the setting to B & W?

It solved!  It turns out that I needed to remove the print head, warm rinse water until the water runs clear (took me 10 minutes towards the end magenenta only went out because obviously my magneta was clogged and I wasn't getting through the inkhead ink when you try to print).  Then I air dried (and used a hair dryer on cool) and re-installed.  After the printer went through its automatic setting, alignment and cleaning cartridges... Perfect printing.  And I didn't have to spend 60-80 dollars for a new printhead.

I found this info on Amazon when I went to buy a new one.  Given that my HP is already out of warranty, it couldn't hurt to try and so glad I did... Just wish that I would have found information first, and when a color is COMPLETELY absent from the output printing and cleaning connections does nothing, it obviously an obstruction somewhere; either the cartridge or print head.

This seems to be a common problem in the list on the site

    Hello!
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope that you are @DaveMacowner,

I saw your post on how your Mac running 10.10 fails to print in color to your craving 4522, and I wanted to respond with my own suggestions. As the test pages print in color, we know that the printer itself is not serious!

Try these steps in the order of your Mac:

    1. Reset the printing system
    2. Repair disk permissions
    3. Restart the Mac.
    4. Click on this link, download and install Easy Start: HP Easy Start
    5. In addition, to download this driver: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers
    6. Try to print again

If you have trouble, let me know and I'll do my best to help.

Hit the "accept as Solution" if we reached a solution and the "thumbs up" to say thank you for my help.

  • HP color laserjet cp4525: lack of color

I have a hp color laserjet cp4525 in my office, but the problem that I encounter for the last two months is when I print in color it does not give me the quality of the color. is there a seting to regain the original color of my hp color laserjet cp4525?

The first thing you need to do is to print the print quality diagnostics pages and see if the problem is of a specific color.

The main question I have is do you use genuine HP toner cartridges or toners to spare?

You're printer calibrates its color automatically and except if you have changed the settings should be able to produce specific colors without any resets.

  • Lack of colors after two copies

All colors except mangenta and cyan vanishes after a few copies.

-All available test routines are used. Result error messages: No.

    -Self Test Diagnostic Page says:

    * Sufficient ink in the cartridges

    * Health Prinhead for B/Y: fair and good M/Y:

    * Event log reports: 69552, 69556, 69924, 69552 (which I do not know the meaning of).

-J' ran HPPSdr without any solution

The problem occurred during a series of copy of 50 when the run out of the cartridge for BLACK ink already after the number of copies 10. The next 40 copies were then more in addition to black and yellow color. Then I mounted a new black print cartridge and run all the tools available, kept but the problem.

I can put off the printer and let it stand for a few hours. What start up again, I can get one or two OK copy, then the colors black and yellow faints.

It seems to me that the system is not able to supply enough ink in the print head - or the print head is not able to receive it. Maybe, it happened because of the total outdrying of the printehead af. But why can the test still report JUST print head?

    What is the solution?

Have you ever replaced the print heads?  Six years is a long enough life for printheads, I would not be surprised if the cyan/magenta also needed replacement at a time given as well if they are original.  The print heads are about $78 each.  If you have a stock of spare supplies, it may be better to just get a replacement print head and keep the machine running.

If you opt for a bet to level the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus can be a good choice and I saw recently on sale for less than $200.  (Title of Expert HP I get loans of product evaluation and learn more about the HP products.)  I have an Officejet Pro 8600 more in the last round of loan, once the loan period was upward, I bought one myself because I found that it is a great printer for my needs. I love big inks and the ability to scan and copy double-sided automatically.)

  • Cannot print in color from Mac to HP 8620

I just bought a new printer 8620, and it allows to print only in black and white. I looked for ways to pass color printing, but I can't find.

The color ink is in good shape, if this isn't the issue.

In fact, I was just playing around with the computer and found a solution. I removed my list of printer from the printer and then added back, making sure that I used Airprint. Suddenly, I had my color.

  • Lack of Mode on Mac: see - simulate download

I'm a Flash developer and worked all the time under Windows (Adobe Flash Professional CS5).
Now, I am working on Mac (Adobe Flash Professional CS6) and detected in tests of the movie (swf), the "View" menu so the submenu "Simulation download" or "Download the simulation" does not exist.

I have disscued this problem on the Flash software community and they said that the problem is probably not the software Flash but the Flash Player (Mac Version of it).

So, any ideas how to use it on Mac? Because it's an extension of the very powerful to test the flash project (e.g. preloader functions + animations), whitout this function, I lose a lot of time.

  • Color LaserJet Pro M277DW: LaserJet Pro M277DW Color print in b & W / Grayscale only in Mac OSX PhotoShop / InDesign

First of all, I have consulted page 123 of the manual as a response to a similar question can be a solution. The options mentioned for select tab color, and grayscale, etc., apply only to the Windows driver, not OSX.

I use Mac OS x.  With the base driver ready to install on the Mac, there is a box of Options of the printer with a 'Black & White' checkbox is available, this will print successfully using only the black toner, in *not color managed* software, such as the preview Mac and Word, etc.

In Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, even with the checkbox 'Black & White' ticked, the software continues to print in color, by substituting the safe choice 'black and white' of the driver.

How can I force the LaserJet Pro M277DW Color to print using only black toner cartridge in PhotoShop / InDesign / Acrobat, color managed - on a Max OSX software?

This can be easily achieved with my Epson color inkjet printers, if I select black only - I get only a black / grey print from Photoshop / Indesign / Acrobat, why is it not an option with this HP printer? -Surely everyone needs this option B & W, a basic requirement and should have been in the design of the driver of the day 1. which option / check box / treat I'm dominant? Why is Photoshop / Indesign / Acrobat of the substitution of the option of blocking & saved from the driver?

    HELP PLEASE!

    -------

NB. the question is not helped with the dedicated HP driver downloaded from the drivers HP page. This looks like it offers more options via a link "web-server" to the printer, but with this driver the 'black' option is totally deleted Print Options! - Neither is B & W available as a print of "web-server" Printers page, making the entiely to the useless HP driver!

See here, it's using the dedicated downloaded driver, the B & W option is gone! -which means that I can not print even in B & W with the software not color managed (Mac Preview etc)...

After a day of experimentation, the question was a subtle detail when you select Add a printer.

Maybe it will help others with the same problem when using Mac OSX...

When you add a printer in the dropdown list use, the default is Secure AirPrint, this removes the possibility to print in B & W! - and removes the other options!  Got knows why this is the default value.

Make sure you only select the printer named on this drop down menu - the M277dw - as has pointed out below.

The printer will then work with all available parameters - and works wirelessly (I assumed the use, it will take the AirPrint - but he doesn't - that this also removes the features; selects the actual name of the printer).

Once this 'use' is defined correctly, the grayscale option is available via the Options of the printer in the application you are printing since then, inclusing Photoshop, etc., whew.  I also saved it as a "Preset" BW...

  • WiFi of HX30V mac/iPad transfer

So I just bought a brand new HX30V. Just for the record, I didn't want to. While I don't know that it's probably a very good camera, my choice is for the HX20V. However, for some reason any, that I could not understand, it is not sold to the Canada, and of course Sony Canada won't give you any warranty if you buy the HX20V outside the Canada. So I opted for the HX30V, which is substantially the same, except that it is more expensive and offers this feature "WiFi". From what I have read on the web and in the various descriptions (probably I should have done more), it sounded as if it was an easy way to transfer your photos from your camera to your computer via WiFi. Cool, isn't? Well, sort of. What they don't tell you beforehand is that WiFi connectivity works for the transfer of files using clean room of Sony software, PlayMemories Home, which is only available for Windows. If you have a Mac, as I do, well, never mind. In the box of the camera in the Mac section there is a link (http://www.sony.co.jp/imsoft/Mac/) with '[...] requirements to download the software of operation", and what you said is that you are supposed to use iPhoto or iMovie - and this is of course just for USB connectivity. So, OK, no transfer to the computer. Heck. However, there is what we call "PlayMemories Mobile", which is available for iPhone/iPad (Yes, I have those too), and that is supposed to offer the same kind of functionality, sort of. Well, that would be better than nothing, I tell myself. Download the app (thank God it's free...) and I try to connect. It is primarily intended to leaving your device to act like a WiFi access point that you need and then to put in place on your iDevice - which means that you cannot be connected to your WLAN home and your camera at the same time. I would have thought that it would be easy to have just the camera connect to the WLAN and run a database server to share its photo library, so it can be accessed by the iApp, but apparently not, so it hogs your WiFi connection. Well, even once, somehow. In fact when I set up the access point on my iPad (same for iPhone) I received a message on the camera which indicates "the impossible target device connection. At the same time, the iApp was too reports an error. Tried a few times to set up the access point again, in different sequences, just rebooted, not better. Then I came across a thread on a web forum that says it would work despite the error displayed on the camera. Well, I tried again, the error was still displayed on the camera, but well, the iDevice was able to connect to the network and "Joy!" it worked. 'The joy' with big quotes. OK, you can see your photos, but only resized versions of them, so you cannot zoom fully you can on the camera. Also, no video, cannot transfer, you don't even see on in the iApp if you share only a single video file on your camera then the iApp will say 'No content' or something like that.

So to summarize, through not to sell the HX20V to Canada, Sony "forced" me to buy the HX30V, or actually forced me to spend more money on a product that, through its defective or improperly applied 'extra features', does not add any functionality that whether at the camera I wanted to buy in the first place.
Still, I'm not criticizing the camera itself, which I hope it will live up to my expectations. But I * criticize false advertising, terrible implementation choices, bad support, bad software and the flagrant lack of care for Mac users.
Thumbs down to the big time.
