  I hope someone can help me with the following.

  I use adobe creative cloud every day on a mac. We are currently finishing off a re-brand of the company I work for and we have a new color scheme implemented, which also means PANTONE new colors were chosen.

  But for some reason, I can only find 2 of the 4 colors in my indesign and illustrator PANTONE color libraries. The rest do not seem to be available...

  You miss the following colors:

  PANTONE: 2347

  PANTONE: 2292

  I wonder if there is some sort of an update that I should do for my libraries of colors? and what is the best solution for these missing colors in my adobe design creative cloud account so I can start using them in the future.

  PANTONE provide all their colors as shades available for download on their site, more free libraries, some only in the context of their commercial software. Check out their site. While there, also read their color guides. The colors you chose may simply have been replaced / replaced by others. For what be more demand in the forums of each product.

  I have my palette Pantone Solid Coated to open in Illustrator, but it is impossible to find the colors Pantone 7548 8002 (actually, they jump out of 7547 to 8003, and I want to use 7737), my list is sorted by name.

  The only thing I think that may be the problem, it is that they have a transparent white value and everything else didn't maybe if it's in a different shade?

  @Leicon, what version of AI do you use. This query, I can assume that you are using CS5/CS5.1 because you can easily find the 7737 Pantone + libraries in the CS6. Extract the contents of the Pantone Plus file on your hard drive following location to use the samples you want:

  For windows:

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5\Presets\en_US\Swatches\Color Books\

  For Mac:

  / Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS5/Presets/en_US/color chart/color books.

  Everything about the program has worked perfectly until he started to plant last week - when I opened a file, it hang, and once I do it to make changes to the file, it would become unresponsive after I double click on a text box.

  Unfortunately, just uninstall and reinstall InDesign individually did not help - however, uninstall and then reinstall the entire suite seem to have solved the problem. No problems so far.

  InDesign allows you to assign a CMYK and RGB profile to the document. The CMYK profile controls the display and the conversion to CMYK, RGB profile handles display and the conversion of RGB color. You can change the document via Edit profile assignments > assign profile... or you can convert the colors in the document and swatches via Edition > convert to profile... If you use convert color values are modified and the new profile is assigned.

  I work in a file that is created to cs6. It is a work of a single color, and I would like to replace the current pantone color chart with a new. There is no option to remove the shade and replace it with another, or that's what I'd do. Any ideas? Thank you!

• Pantone color won't InDesign CC new shade of color...

  My company's primary color is Pantone 541 C.  Before CC InDesign, I could choose new color chart..., PANTONE Solid Coated, type in 541 and he would come right up.  Since switching to InDesign CC, when I type in 541, he takes by default 5415 and won't go to 541 no matter what I do.  I have to scroll down (waste of time!) until I found and click Add.  It is in the list, but does not come to the top when you type 541.  WHY?  That this has something to do with the Pantone + against the old Pantone colors?  Can I create a shade by default to include this color because I use it 99% of the things I design.

• Conversion of pantone color mode to CMYK in Indesign CS3?

  I'm working on a business card for a client, I use Adobe Indesign CS3.

  I use the outside for the print job company called 4over (4over.com) and they require that you use their print CMYK pdf engine so that they can do the job properly... Basically it bring down: I'm in Indesign CS3, I chose to print and the printer choose their "4over pdf engine CMYK to print" so the colors do not convert and the color does not change when they use their printers.

  4over tells me that my document is in pantone color mode, they can see the pantone 371C color, but not the CMYK values.

  How to change color pantone in CMYK color mode mode?

  If anyone can help me please. I would really appreciate it.

  Before export, in the swatch Panel, choose your Pantone color, right click and select options for nuance. Change the type of color to the process and the color to CMYK mode.

  If it is a business card, and you have shown to the customer a pantone swatch, know that you will not get the same results of color. There is a very useful book of Pantone available that shows samples side by side with the CMYK values.

• I want to print or export (PDF) a design with an indication of pantone colors used without separations so that our customers can see them (not in CMYK)

  Add your tones to your Swatches Panel (window > Swatch Library > color books > Pantone + solid coating >)

  In the menu drop-down of the swatches Panel, select all unused nuances and delete it. Also remove all unused swatch groups.

  File > Configuration of Document > do the purge. 5 ".

  Use the text tool to indicate the spot colors on the outer edge of the background area lost, do the color type matches the specified color spot.

  Save as PDF. This PDF file printed with purge will show the spot. Alternatively, you can select 'Add crop marks and color bar' in the print settings, which should also indicate the tones.

  In InDesign, you can add a box to your page slug, where tones usually added.

  Best thing is to try it. Open the PDF in Acrobat and open the output Preview Panel. Your Pantone (s) will be listed if it is present at the bottom of the list.

  I read with interest the 'thread' here about latest 336 PANTONE colors and thought I'd take the opportunity to set the record straight.

  PANTONE 336 new colors were introduced in April 2012, subsequent to launch PANTONE PLUS SERIES products in May 2010.

  Adobe CS6 is the first version of the suite Adobe to provide native support for PANTONE libraries MORE SERIES, this includes no 336 April 2012 latest PANTONE colors.  These colors are supported in PANTONE Color Manager software.

  PANTONE Color Manager has been designed in 2010 as a vehicle through which visitors to Pantone could keep their digital PANTONE libraries completely up-to-date.  The software is distributed for free for free with the purchase and registration of up-to-date PANTONE color guides and books.  Each PANTONE publication has a unique serial number which, once registered, it becomes the activation key for non-reusable activation of PANTONE Color Manager.  Thus, Pantone does not charge extra for a customer for libraries, in addition to the cost of PANTONE publications themselves. Customers who choose not to buy updated books, or who may need additional licenses in addition to the amount of books they own, can purchase PANTONE Color Manager for $49.00 per additional user license

  The current version of PANTONE Color Manager, version 2.1, contains support for PANTONE colors more recent 336 separate libraries and allows users to export these to Adobe CS6 and earlier versions.  Buying PANTONE Color Manager is installed, but are missing the colors more recent 336, can auto-updated to the software, or access their myPANTONE account and download the latest installer without charge.  The last installation running on the current installation program updates the software to the latest version.

  I just bought the new Pantone formula guides and there is that a wide range of colors not specced in InDesign. For example, 2441... I searched in vain, and would appreciate some help. Thanks heaps. I guess Adobe have not simply update their libraries? I didn't think the new new samples, which were however...

  I don't understand why I can't use the Swedish with aao in PDF forms that create in InDesign CS6 alphabet.   So, if you have CS6, be sure that you are fully patched. If you do not, and that this issue is important to you, you need to upgrade.
