Lack of storage battery MacBook Pro

My Macbook Pro battery storage (end of 2012) is a failure. When the battery contains about 45% (and also lower percentages), the Macbook turns off completely, which indicates battery icon red empty great on a black screen.

I have to go to the charger, plug it in, then turn on Macbook and battery indicator indicates the remaining amount (which can always be for example, 45%). Once turned back on, the Macbook is then taken network to continue on battery power.

After only only light but regular use stepped in three years, I am seriously disappointed by Apple as this product looks as if it will require the purchase of a new battery - which will probably be very expensive.

Does anyone have comments or suggestions on this subject please?

Thank you

Get a new battery. If it is not replaceable by the user, then you must take it to an Apple store to be replaced. Make an appointment at the Apple Store - Genius Bar store and bring it into service. If you are in the United States or is unable to make an appointment in this way, contact your Apple store.

Hello! The battery is old and has almost reached 1000 charge cycles, which means that it may soon become useless.

I have seen many users asking link to OWC here on the forum and I have seen a lot of positive feedback on this manufacturer, so if you plan to replace the battery, you should consider the OWC part in option.

  • Go to bed before exhausted battery MacBook Pro retina (mid-2012)

I hope that someone in the community can help with this question.

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with a battery 3.2 old Yes and less than 300 cycles. I think the battery is depleting faster (which is natural after 3.2 years) but benchmarking between percentage left and the unit goes into mode 'sleep' is meaningless. For example, tonight the battery came into sleep mode with 16% left on the screen - sound almost if the MacBook thought it was exhausted.  I have heard do NOT need calibration for that MacBook Pro, but it feels like it does.  Which leaves me feeling very concerned on what continues.

    Things I've tried so far:

    1. full reset SMC and General reboots.

    2. a full discharge and recharge (attempted calibration despite says that's not necessary).

3 using the activity monitor to see if something is sucking energy unduly.  (Which there isn't, and everything seems normal).

4 using the battery health app to look at the State of the battery - said its 87% in good health and no calls for service or replacement.  ('Normal' status).

Anything related or apparently wrong - but certainly go faster down and switch mode 'sleep' around 16 to 19%.

All the words of wisdom of the community?

    Thanks in advance.

    Brad.

A full release just the risk damage to your battery. Are you sure that the Mac is not just go to sleep as it was designed to do? Try to reset your default energy-saving preferences. If that does not resolve the problem, maybe it's a problem with the operating system, in which case you should try to reinstall OS X by pressing down the command key and the R key as soon as you see the Apple logo at the start of your computer to the top and then clicking "reinstall Mac OS X" and following the on-screen instructions.

I hope you find this information useful.

    Best regards

  • Extend the life of battery MacBook Pro 15 "(Mi-2014) & overall health"

    Good day people.

Yesterday, I bought a used MBP. Data sheet:

    Model name: MacBook Pro

    Model identifier: MacBookPro11, 2

    Processor name: Intel Core i7

    Processor speed: 2.2 GHz

    Number of processors: 1

    Total number of Cores: 4

(By heart) L2 Cache: 256 KB

    L3 Cache: 6 MB

    Memory: 16 GB

    Cycles: 130

Other than a few scrapes and scratches here and there of General wear, the machine seems to be in fantastic condition and beyond, after recovering pretty well my old exact configuration via Time Machine, is a blisteringly fast on my MBP improvement mid-2009 Core 2 Duo.

Now I want some tips to make sure that this machine takes me six years (wishful thinking? Eh_bien made a last, but its GPU is running out...), so the questions:

    (1) leave the unit plugged in and on costs all night?

    (2) drain all the way down and then recharge it fully? I have been informed by a trusted friend that it is a good idea to keep more than 20% battery charge if and when at all possible.

    (3) let him fall asleep on his own, or put it to sleep manually? I prefer the latter, at this point.

    (4) I use a USB Bluetooth receiver mouse + keyboard, and on top of that eternal display connected via Thunderbolt (can use HDMI also, at this point, still enough old VGA-> Firebolt adapter); should I disconnect these when the machine is put to sleep? It seems they attract a fair amount of power (I did a test last night to see how long the machine hard on battery when it is connected to these; do now, and it's going strong).

I'll probly have some questions based on the answers to the above, but thanks in advance for any thoughts/input.

    More precisely:

    1. the batteries cannot overload due to the protection circuits.

    2. do not drain so dead it can be avoided.

    3. the more he does not sleep because of the long 'wait till sleep' over the screen is used.  Except that no difference in my opinion.

    4. all attached components will require some even if inactive power monitoring.  Your just tire test power unnecessarily in my opinion.

    Hi all;

I bought a MacBook 2010 mid Pro 13 "(2nd hand). The camera is great and has been well supported. Only problem is the battery - it runs out and cool in an hour or two. However, he begins by saying there about 04:30 hrs.

  • How can I upgrade (where to buy) the SSD storage for my macbook pro retina 15 "?

I currently have 256GB on my mac, which is far from enough. as far as I know, the macbook pro get a SSD sata-m and I would buy more. I can buy it on the Apple site?

Apple does not sell any upgrade to the MacBook Pro retina. If you want to upgrade the internal memory, the connector is not standard m-SATA so your options are limited. One of the few places improvements are available is MacSales.com, who is a seller very good reputation (I bought many improvements to them):

  • MacBook Pro battery

    Hi all

I have a serious problem with my Macbook Pro bought in February 2011

In recent weeks, the battery was not load correctly, or the laptop came into fashion 'sleep' to 40% or 50%, so I had to use my phone still plugged in, when it's on. Lately, on the screen with users, I saw that said 91 percent, but when I was on my account, he said "do not load" Even worse if I unplugged the laptop charger closes with 91%.

The cycles of the battery were approximately 225, so I do not understand why in the world my battery had problems.

Last night when I was about to use the laptop, I noticed, that it was not closed correctly, one side had one large gap than the other and when I opened it, noticed that the trackpad was not in its normal position, as if someone was the extraction of it. So I figure the battery itself expanded during the night or during the last 2-3 nights.

I read in the older messages that I have to take the laptop to an Apple Store, and they'll replace it for free. Unfortunately I live in a country where there is only retail stores, and I doubt that they are replacing, even less free.

My question is, is there a specific battery, I could buy to replace it myself? A battery for a 13 "MacBook Pro 2011? Is this a problem on 2011 model? It's a bit disappointing because I did not give the laptop of its total use, to die so soon.

I take the battery before it expands more would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for any response.

    Veronica

  • should I keep the MacBook pro connected all the time?

Hi, I have a macbook pro 2015 13 inches. I know that the basic question, but I'm worried about my fitness battery because I like how to provide the battery MacBook pro calendar. much longer than any laptop there, I used my macbook for 2 months and my battery cycle reached 110. because I have my macbook to drop from 25% to 100% of load and connect then off once the magsafe Gets Green. I want to keep it plugged in, if I watch a movie or edit my videos on final cut pro. If I do! will this affect my condition of the battery? I read the battery stops charging when full. Also, I want my battery to be good, because when I'm out with my macbook, I want what it deliver me great battery calendar as it usually doesn't. Thank you.

  • New battery of MacBook Pro A1286

    Good afternoon

I have a Macbook Pro A1286 Late 2008, which has an access door that allows me to remove the battery in case of damage or long time storage and this same battery that better days seen, which means I need to replace it and I would do it with a new and original.

Apple stopped producing parts for the models considered 'vintage' or obsolete, which means that I will not be able to find an original battery on Apple officials/dealers sellers, unless on official and even Apple support here, it should be very difficult...

After all these years, I saw the opportunity to purchase an original "new and sealed" battery, announced by a seller on olx, where can I check and check the veracity of his claims about the originality of the battery with a serial number of pieces Apple search engine or on some website, as Apple has done once with the eligibility of battery replacement and others , by the Apple warranty... ?? !!

I have an emergency to solve this issue...

    Greetings from Portugal

Only your MBP battery I want to buy are third NuPower or Anker.  Anyone who claims to have original OEM Apple batteries may be the truth, but understand that batteries also age even when it is not installed and do not use it.  I urge caution in these circumstances.

    Ciao.
