Lack of Vista Boot Manager
original title: can someone help me?
OK, so my computer is pretty messed up.
I'm new to computers so I have no idea about all this.
I get a lot of mistakes and my PC keeps freezing a lot for the last two months and I get the error on blue screen.
Today, I started my computer and it froze on me again. I decided to turn off manually it like I always do when it freezes on me.
I restarted my computer and I click Open Startup Repair and he asked me if I wanted to factory restore my PC. I clicked on OK.
After a while, I thought that my computer froze on me again so I stupidly decided to turn it off while he was restoring.
I turned it back on and I get this error message that says "BOOTMGR is missing press CTRL, ALT + DELETE to restart»
I don't know what to do, I searched throughout the day for other ways to restore my computer to my factory settings and I found a way, but it won't let me access my Options (press F8 at startup) advanced start I really just want my computer reset to factory settings and I don't have an installation disc.
My PC is:
Intel Core ' '2 Quad Q8200.
NVIDIA GeForce GT120
Windows Vista Edition Home Premium
Is there a way I could restore my PC to factory settings?

Qosmio G35-AV650: how remove Vista Boot Manager and install XP
OK, I got the g35-av650 - US. I don't see any good American forum Toshiba, so I post here.
First of all, I must say I'm getting very frustrated.1: I upgraded my BIOS to try to install windows vista. Vista installed, however, it works well. It must be driver problems. I deleted the partition that I allocated for Vista. Now, how the hell do I remove the screen/start menu in vista.
I want to get back my XP operating system selection screen.
I think it has to do with the boot record.2: my bluetooth isn't all work more (don't ask me why...) After that I updated the BIOS to version 1.40 to the newest 3.30.
The recovery CD said I use the CD in the computer wrong? Is it possible to downgrade the BIOS/solve this problem, or bypass it.
Thanks for the responses, because they will be very appreciated.
Hello
(1.) you want to reinstall XP on the HARD drive or you want to cancel only the vista Boot Manager.
Usually after reinstalling XP, the boot manager should disappear. But I found these tips step by step in the internet:
-Start your computer in Windows XP.
-Make sure you have the image of Vista DVD emulated or in the DVD drive.
-Go to start and run. Type in e:\boot\bootsect.exe/nt52 ALL/force (without the quotation marks and replace e: with the letter of your Vista DVD).
-Restart the computer, and you notice that the selection of start menu disappeared.
-Format the partition/drive where you installed Vista.
-Remove the two (Boot.BAK and Bootsect.BAK) files on your file of root of drives XP (c), it was backup of your previous boot loader files, now is more useful.
-Optional: Restart to make sure it still works.
-Use your partition software to merge your partitions.2.), I hope that you have used the BIOS from the page we Toshiba. However, the BIOS update should not has a bad influence on the functionality of BT. Try to download the latest driver for BT and install again.

I was looking at the previous post in this regard and could not make it work later. I have only the available recovery disc, so maybe I need to buy. Hello!
Have you tried with the disk recovery Toshiba or a disk of Microsoft?
If you want to reinstall Vista with Microsoft disc, you need SATA drivers.I m do not know what is the problem, but in your case, I would like to format the HARD drive. You can do this with the Microsoft disk or with special tools like the Drive Fitness Test (http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm#DFT).
Delete all partitions and then do a low level format. Then try again to install Windows.
Give me a reason why this has happened.
Good bye

Original title: Windows Vista upgrade to Windows boot disk boot manager is located in the computer but will not start up installation disc
Im getting the message of File:\windows\system32\winload.exe
Hi WillieGuyton,
(1) since when are you facing this problem?
(2) remember to make changes?
(3) what is the complete error message you receive?
(4) what is the number of brand and model of your computer?
Method 1:
Step 1:
disconnect any external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start. If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then get any drivers\software update for the device.
Step 2: Follow the steps mentioned in the link below to access pre - install the system recovery tools.
How to access the System Recovery Options menu?
Run the tool to restart system as shown in the link below
How to use Startup Repair?
Method 2:Step 1:
Set the first boot device in the DVD in BIOS to boot from the Windows Installation DVD. To do this, see the documentation that came with the computer.Important: Change BIOS (Basic input output system) /semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
Step 2: Follow the steps mentioned in the article below for the restoration of the Boot Configuration database (BCD) store
Windows no longer starts after you install an earlier version of the Windows operating system in a dual-boot configuration

Read the above and use the following startup repair disk information:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

If the above does not work:
It is the instance of Vista installation.

If you have not some data on the best HARD drive for you is important to install the operating system using supplied recovery disk.
After doing this you should clean Vista pre-installed and all will be well. -
Hello
I have a Yoga pro 2.
I recently formatted my drive and got rid of all partitions. The reinstalled windows 8.
Everything worked well until I went into the bios and changed the legacy boot uefi support.
I get this is now pop up when I boot.
By default, lack of start-up or start-up device failed. Insert the recovery media and press a key. Then select "Boot Manager" to select a new device boot or boot recovery media.
I have no support from reccovery.
I tried to restart the mchine pressing F2, but I still get the same screen.
If I press on enter I then move the pop up to the Boot Manager when the list is empty, so I can't start any other readers because there is not to choose.
I don't know what else to do...
Help, please.

Constant beeps sound then Windows Boot Manager
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1107 X series of portable entertainment. When I turn it on I almost always get a series of very strong short beeps into 3 groups inconsisent. First group can be 4 to 6 beeps. Second group can have 1 or 2. Third group just going until the Windows Boot Manager appears. Once I select the Vista operating system everything seems to start to work as usual.
Here's what I did:
1. replace the card motherboard and CPU
2 checked and tested the hard drive diagnostic and in another machine - OK
3. have you used a good hard drive in this machine - the same symptoms, no change.
4 RAM stick checked and tested in both slots and diagnostic test on another machine - good
5. have you a recovery of the default settings - operating system (OS) have behaved erratically.
6 do you have a clean installation using another machine - OS works but same symptoms as above with the beeps and Windows Boot Manager.
7 installed all required drivers as required in the Device Manager (after a LOT of problems trying to find the driver of HP download support - I had to search for HP Compaq Pavilion dv6-1107AX find a site linking driver downloads).
8. have you run AVG anti virus and anti-spyware (Malwarebytes, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware) 3 x. Bugs nothingness based.
9 reset the BIOS by default.
Am also having problems anytime access BIOS. It takes several attempts, but can be obtained by pressing F10 immediately after the first screen with ESC on that option. Also have problems Access Mode safe mode using F8 but perseverance is necessary and it will eventually work.
Other ideas anyone please? Fear that I ran out of them.
Hoping, hoping, hoping...

As it happens, last night I stripped the laptop (still) bare bones that is
* motherboard with 1 stick of RAM and hard disk, CPU, x
* switch cover (market button and LEDs connected to motherboared,)
* external connected monitor.
I had done this before and the unit pulled up OK. I wasn't hunting question do beep at this time.
This time I also connected the Assembly Speaker and connected to the motherboard as well. And that's it-no beeps.
Re-assembled the laptop but this time to the left of the keyboard off the coast and pulled upwards. No beeps.
Replace the keyboard on - got beeps loudly.
Check all the keys. Each of them is spring loaded and seems to work very well. Clean the keys and hooked it to the top, but no change.
It seems that the problem has been a key stuck inside the whole keyboard and I'll have to get another. Ordered a replacement last night and will have to see how it goes, but I'm pretty confident.
The only question is now that the screen is in a particular color with a light blue in the Center and black around the edges. It is not a clear distinction but blurred between the two colors. Never seen that before.
Thanks for your reply.

Can I enable disable the Windows Boot Manager?
My Vista Home Premium 64 has a great deal for a year. Now, at the start, I get "Windows Boot Manager" (a scary BACK-looking screen) which delays the start-up for 30 seconds, and everything seems to work MUCH more slowly. I think the problem started when I installed Norton Ghost 14. Can I disable this thing WBM somehow and have always Windows Vista starts successfully? How?
The change occurred because of an option in Ghost. Ghost may have given you an option to create a recovery partition and you took it. Consult the manual of Ghost or its options or contact Symantec technical support. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
