  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

• Thunderbird input lag except in safe mode

  Entry of a message (response or new) lagging behind unless Thunderbird is running in safe mode.

  I used the option to disable all add-ons and reset the toolbars and the problem persists unless Thunderbird is running in safe mode.

  Performance of the Task Manager indicates low CPU, memory and disk usage when the problem occurs.

  I'm using version 38.1.0 on Windows 7, Home Premium with all updates installed.

  The delay does not occur in Internet Explorer or Microsoft Word or other programs.

  Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of. Looks like this might be the case with those ads full screen you see.

  I have Final Cut 10.2.1 and I get some serious reading lag! "I tried the obvious choice, best quality unclicking also change the proxy, but nothing works." Here are the clips shot from a camera Canon T3I 1080 p. I have troubleshooted this thing and I still get a reading. I don't know if it's my computer, because I just got an imac two months ago. I started Adobe Premiere pro cloud thinking it is the CPF, but reading it is trolling to! I thought it was my Ram, but I'm well below requirements. In addition, it's frustrating, because my wife and I edited a documentary set on a macbook pro with only 4 GB of Ram and it worked perfectly. I am at my end. The files are stored on an external hard drive, is not on my system. I can't think what's wrong with my system. My computer specs are in the background. Thank you!

  Oh, I also have this problem with wake sleep where the computer won't let me open a session and then darkens so I have to reactivate the screen with the power button and it is still frozen and have to do this several times, and after a few minutes, I'm finally able to type something in the connection box.

• Why Firefox does not lag when scrolling through some websites?

  I tested my current profile with all my addons activated and compared it to a whole new addon-free profile. Own profile showed no difference in my current profile; the shift happens on the profile to both clean and current. Disabling scrolling without jolts and hardware acceleration allows nothing. This same site, chrome and Opera both show zero lag, the functions of the site perfectly.
  I use Linux as an operating system, but during startup in Windows FF, the lag is there too. IE scroll normally on this site too.

I intend to do a full backup and restore in the future. I did a full reboot (hold home and lock button) and a hard reboot (hold switch for more than 5 seconds). However, it did not help. I use an iPhone 6 Plus. It is particularly irritating because I did not have problems with iOS 9.3 in the past.

  Do you have another complete reboot (button lock for more than five seconds) and I had not any problems, for about a day, however, it's only happened a couple times and who could be GameCenter. So my solution is to turn off your phone, wait 15 seconds and then hold the power button until the Apple logo appears and continue to hold down the power button until it disappears after 5 seconds.   Wangmander, I don't have a solution to your problem, but I'm very curious to know how you managed to make your magic Trackpad 2 actually drag three fingers! I find that in my new iMac system preferences, and I hate to leave when I got it on my previous Mac. How to set that up? Thank you!

• Lag when using track changes in the large document

  I do experience lag when using "track changes" in a large .pages document (about 180 pages). I get the wheel of the Rainbow for about 10 seconds after completing each change, which makes it very difficult to obtain concrete results. Other applications on my computer work simultaneously without a hiccup. I use the latest version of the pages on the latest Mac OS. Anyone with a similar problem? Tips to solve this problem?

  It's unfortunate that Apple has not adopted an icon "Achtung Minen!" for the v5 Pages. It is slower than the second coming on intermediate to large documents, and it only gets worse when you add images at higher resolution. Apple has not designed there is a professional-quality, or as a realistic replacement processor for MS Word.

  There is nothing you can do, but seriously, re - evaluate your software solution for processing.
