Language options for Vista Business on new T400s in Norway

I want to buy a T400s in Norway. My preferred supplier account T400s with VB in Norwegian.

I want Vista in English. Do I have a choice at installation time, or can provide me Lenovo with the English installation media?

Kind regards

Laurens

Although there is an email address, I spoke to someone from support (no waiting).

They informed me that the numbers ending in xxxxMN are OS Norwegian/English (choose at setup time).

"Bestillingsnummer ender med MN Giver."
So vile MN to far and norsk tastatur, norsk countrypack (kabler etc.) og norsk/fransk OS.
Under the oppstarten av maskinen har mulighet til a velge om of the vil ha na norsk eller som ditt fransk
operativsystem. »

  • Update for VISTA Business automatically leads to not being able to open the attachment in Windows Mail

    After an automatic update from Microsoft for VISTA Business on July 16, I now can't open attachments in the reading of e-mail messages in Windows Mail.  An error message indicates that the file is not found.  I have now to save all attachments and open my files before I read attachments.  It's very frustrating.  I had a similar experience, only a couple of weeks where a parameter is passed by an automatic update to VISTA leading to read all the emails being hidden from view.  I had never seen that before and it cost me £40 to get DELL Technical Support to sort for me.  Microsoft should not do this kind of thing are they?  Should I just revert to the original system (I have to pay DELL to do it for me) and just not allow Microsoft Update VISTA more.  I have my own business, no IT support and I want to just use my easy notebook for standard applications.  Nothing complicated.  I can't afford to waste time and money sorting on my laptop when I should run my own business in very difficult times.  Thanks to anyone who can advise me.

    I understand exactly what you're saying.

    Try this with updates to uninstall the problem and change the eo settings you decide what it is installed:

    Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
    > or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    And if you really need to go back to factory settings, save your self money.

  • Memory minimum allocation for Vista Business Edition with Visual Studio 2008 VM?

    Long time listener, first time caller...

    Please excuse me if this question is answered somewhere else, I tried from Google and it came only with a response that was sort of what I was looking for, but was specific to a Macbook with Fusion...

    I want to create a Vista Business Edition (SP1) virtual machine with Visual Studio 2008 (which I think also is delivered with SQL 2005 Dev Edition) and I was wondering what the minimum memory allocation should be for this in order to make it work properly?

    Thank you

    Jim

    Hello and welcome to the forums.

    Amount of minimum support from Microsoft for Vista Business is 512 MB and 768 MB or more recommended for Visual Studio.  1280MB is the minimum.  Personally, I do not want anything less than 2 GB to a virtual machine with Vista and Visual Studio - 1 GB each.

    One of the great benefits of virtualization is that you can start this virtual machine with 1.5 GB and try it.  If the memory is not sufficient, then it is simple to give another 0.5 GB to the virtual machine and try again.

    Good luck!

  • ISO image or repacement drive for Vista Business

    I have a hp Compaq 6710 b with Vista Business. I caught a Virus that wiped out everything and need either an ISO image or disc replacement. It is a legitimate authorized operating system. Your link to disk is dead-end and hp link is dead as well. Or at least I can't. What should I do? What are my options?

    Hello

    If you never received a disc when you bought it, you would have a recovery Partition to reinstall the operating system.

    With a laptop HP Compaq, you press F11 on startup to start the process of recovery back to the factory settings.

    Read this information:

    "Recover Windows Vista operating system using HP Recovery"

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c00809678&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=18703

    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    "How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Vista Business to new hard drive without a CD.

    I have a Sony laptop that I bought with Vista Business. The hard drive crashed and I bought and installed a new hard drive. I loaded vista hard disk with an OEM, someone lent me. The problem is that the OEM seems to be the wrong version. What can I do with it if I can use my old key?

    You have the disks for YOUR machines, no borrowed disks.

    How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Order a DVD of installation for Vista Business 64 bit

    Hello

    I recently bought a copy of Vista Business 32 bit of the technology of my college Department. I originally wanted the 64-bit version, but this version is only available for students. I was told, however, that I would be able to order a 64-bit installation DVD. I went to the Windows Vista alternate Media page and entered my product key, but it came with a message that told me that he was not available. I'm just curious what about if I am actually able to order a 64-bit installation DVD or if there is even one for me to order.

    Thank you

  • The license sticker is for Vista Business and Vista Basic is preinstalled

    I just bought a Satellite Pro L300, which was supposed to have Vista Business installed.

    When I turned on the laptop and went through the initial installation of the operating system and configuration, Vista Basic installed, without ever asking me a license key.

    The Home license sticker at the bottom of my laptop shows "Windows Vista Business OEMAct".

    How to install Vista Business? There is no CD/DVD in the sealed box that the laptop came in so I have no extra programs to install.

    I bought this model because supposedly I could downgrade from Vista Business to XP.

    Thank you!

  • Best option for a business website

    Hello, I asked me about creating a Web site for a nursing home, they have a lot of content on their Web site now and I need to transfer this to a new Web site. How muse really work did host the site and I just connect the domain? and it would be good for my situation? Not sure if Adobe Muse would be the best program to create the site, which could be my other options, as appropriate?

    Thank you

    Maybe I can help make it easier to understand way.

    Think of your site to nursing home as a real physical building.

    Accommodation = the batch that it is built on (this can be anywhere)

    domain name = address so people can find

    Muse = builders who construct the House

    So to answer your question, no, Muse does not host it. It helps you build anywhere where host you it. And it will be the best tool to help you design the site regarding? Well, it depends. If all the information content just static then Muse will be fine. If you need anything be it dynamic as extracting data from a database or to have a secure for people to connect on the site Muse connection would not be your best choice. It would also depend on who would make the updates. Anyone done the updates would require Muse update.

    Can you provide a link to the current site?

  • Have to RMA my drive hard current (customized computer). Options for windows on the new drive?

    Hi everyone, I have my hard Western Digital RMA drive due to non repairable bad sectors. I currently have a version of windows upgrade 7 (I'm sure that my parents lost the activation key for > _ >) installed on the hard disk. Is it possible for me to transfer this Windows 7 nine hard disk? Or if I can't find the activation key to upgrade of version, can I install the previous version of windows 7 that I used before the upgrade, because I actually still have the product key for this copy. I wanted to understand this first before you begin the RMA process so I'm not stuck without an operating system once the replacement drive arrives. Thank you!

    If you do not have a license, you will need to buy a new one.

    If the license you say that you have is a retail license and did not come preinstalled on a computer or is not a version upgrade, you can use it. They must be of the same edition.

  • Problems with the Visa Business for Vista Ultimate 64-bit upgrade

    I have been a loyal customer of ThinkPad T for 10 years. I just got my new T500. In my efforts to save money and wanting to be the best that I bought a 2089-2KU with 2 GIG RAM, Vista Business and a core 9400 processor duo, and then I started immediately at this level to 4 GIG of RAM and Vista Ultimate 64 bit. This has not been fun and my upgrade does not work as I had hoped for. Miss me a lot of drivers after downloading everything on the sites of Lenovo, Microsoft and Intel.

    Is there anyone in the community who can give me some constructive advice outside of spending $500 at a sum of $1,000 on a support, or telling me to clear the machine and buy a new one set up correctly by Lenovo in the factory?

    The easy way to upgrade is to use the Vista Business 64 recovery disks. Like you bought Vista Business 32 Microsoft license is also valid for Vista Business 64. Unfortunately Lenovo support don't honor the Microsoft licensing system and refuse to embark a recovery disc Vista 64 for you if your system came with Vista 32.

    But if you google on thinkpad recovery disks, you'll find U.S. resellers of spare parts online who are willing to sell you the Vista Business 64 recovery discs you need.
