Laplink and transfer of Windows 8
I built a new system, I'll disable windows 8.1 on my old machine and transfer it to the new machine. Can I use Laplink to transfer my programs?
His has not guaranteed the programs that transfer you using Laplink will work.
If you want to move your programs, create a system image and restore it on the new machine:
How to create a system image
the type of Windows powershell (admin)
"wbadmin start backup - backuptarget: d:-allcritical.
Where: d: is where you save your image file.
you get the same image files as for the restoration of files of Windows 7.
Restore the image with the help of a Dvd of Windows 8.1
or Advanced installation recovery.

Windows Easy Transfer. Dual boot Windows XP 32 and 64-bit Windows 7
I am upgrading to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit of Windows XP 32-bit profressionelle. I was looking at using the "Windows Easy Transfer" application for transfer settings. I will install Windows 7 on a separate partition and Windows XP is my current operating system. I want to use the WET program, but it implies that I'm to be transferred from ONE computer to another (using the cable or a network). It's the same machine and only no OS will run at the same time. How would I be able to use WET in this situation of dual boot? I have not yet installed Windows 7 or WET. Thanks, BarJabba
Is the Windows 7 Professional a full license or upgrade? Please note that you will be unable to dual boot using a license to upgrade because it requires that you have previous eligible license installed on the partition.
If it is a license full and that you plan to dual boot and want to transfer personal files and settings by using Windows Easy Transfer for Windows XP, you will need to do is select the option during the transfer Assistant Windows backup on an external storage device.
Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

The log window and transfer in final cut PRO 7 said my multimedia files to Apple ProRes 422 (in a .mov container) are "unsupported" and I'm unable to import. This is after I've used MPEG Streamclip to convert original h264 video files to Apple ProRes 422. I shot with a Canon 5 d Mark II. I missed something?
Do not use TYou log and transfer. It's for the camera Med.

Hello
The short answer is almost certainly yes.
In order to better inform that we will need information from you...
What is the brand, the range and the model of your PC (or card mother brand and model if a custom build)?
What service pack are you in?
- Hold down the Windows (between Ctrl and Alt) key and press Pause break
- Examine what is listed in the system: section on your service pack level
Is there any device listed in Device Manager problem?
- Click Start
- Click on run
- Type devmgmt.msc and press enter
- Search for devices in "Other devices" and devices marked with exclamation point (!) and let us know what they are
Furthermore, we are not Microsoft, just a collection of individuals from all over the world who can help people like you solve their PC problems.

Can I transfer my Windows 7 Starter to my office in the Tower?
OK, so I want to know if it is possible for me to install my Windows 7 Starter netbook on my XPS Gen 4 computer (which is currently under XP) and transfer the license on with her. I know that the starter is a Lite version, but I do not have too much more that a new start for my dying computer until I update. I never use my netbook so he gets absolutely no use.
Hello
Netbooks come with Windows 7 Starter Edition preinstalled (Acer, Asus, etc.) and are therefore an OEM license.
OEM licenses are not transferable to another machine.
OEM licenses are tied to the first machine that they are installed on OEM license dies when dies of this machine.
See you soon.

File ran and transfer settings Wizard Installation all users in Administrator account info
I did a Windows XP Pro 32-bit clean install on a laptop. After I installed all the software and drivers on the machine, I ran the file and Assistant to bring users account on the machine to transfer the parameters. The problem is that I stumbled accidentally while still connected as long as administrator, all the information of users installing to the default Administrator account. Y at - it an easy way to remove the users from the administrator account info, or to delete the administrator account take it back to the installed version of basic? Thanks in advance for your help.
Original title: using files and Settings Transfer Wizard. Oops
Hello
I suspect that Naman R misinterpreted your post. My interpretation is that you have used the Wizard Windows XP file / transfer settings, no Windows Easy Transfer.
Assuming you still have available transfer fluid, which is a kind of external drive (USB, probably), there is no reason why you should transfer the settings again, but in the correct user profile.
With respect to the transfer in the account manager, all the parameters of implementation of changes should be reversible system restore (start - all programs-Accessories-System Tools System Restore). Data can only be deleted while signed in as an administrator. Do the system restore before doing the right files and transfer settings, otherwise it will also cancel these changes in settings that have been applied to the appropriate user profiles.
