Laptop computer sticker passed out faded license, license installed is OEM and cannot be activated
Hello
As the subject says, I have some difficulties to activate Windows 7 on a laptop.
The license sticker is missing and is completely unreadable. I tried to recover the key to the system that has been installed, only to find out later that it is an OEM key that is not valid for activation.
For some reason, the recovery CD are for Windows XP, while the laptop was installed with Windows 7 and the license of the sticker is for 7.
The laptop is an old Lenovo (x 200) and long out of warranty.
What can I do?
Option 1:
If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.
Option 2:
If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.
Option 3:
If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.
If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

Hi NickManchisi
1. for how long have you been faced with this problem?
2. what happens when you try to print?
3. do you receive any error messages?Method 1 :
Please refer to the below mentioned article and check if the given steps help.http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/308028
Method 2:You can even perform a restore of the system to a previous point, when the issue was not present. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time when you have not experienced the problem.
Note: When you use System restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
To do this, there must be a restore point from the system in which the connection was successful.
Refer to the following help link on performing a system restore.

I can't offer any additional information as above. One minute my volume icon was there, the next day it was gone.
Hello
· Are you able to hear the sound while playing music on the system?
If the problem is only with the sound/volume missing from the system tray icon, then you can follow the steps mentioned below and find the volume icon in the system tray.
To redisplay your volume icon in the taskbar
(a) click Start.
(b) in the search line type TASKBAR and STARTMENU
(c) of the list of programs select bar TASKS and STARTMENU
(d) select the tab area of Notification and under the system icons section, place a check next to VOLUME
(e) click apply and then click OK
It should be visible in the toolbar again.
Please let us know if that fixes the problem or if assistance is needed.

When you want to play a downloaded video
Is the video you are trying to read the HD? If it's a 720 p or 1080 p video, it might be several gigabytes in size, and for this to open and buffering for reading you must have enough available memory to do.Are you sure that you do not have high memory use? Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and choose TASK MANAGER. Make sure that none of the open programs are using large amounts of memory. -
After the 10.11.5 update, that I could never restart or shut down my iMac (late 2013, 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3) using the new menu. I can only stop it by pressing the button for a few seconds. I saw a few discussions addressing the question here and have tried to implement some of the solutions proposed, such as restarting in safe mode, deleting the application from Wacom-, but nothing has worked. Now I can't get the 10.11.6 updating or update my Adobe Creative cloud, incidentally, which became available to me, because I can't restart the computer. Do you know if this update would be better and solve the problem? Is there a way I can get this update even if I cannot restart the computer, or even to restore the system to an earlier version?
Perhaps run EtreCheck and post the results here.

My computer caught a SERIOUS virus that damaged my beta Windows Vista together. So I've upgraded to Windows 7, however, I have not the key product for Windows Vista or 7. Is it possible to set this up with Windows Vista or 7 because my product key for computers, which was at the back of it, has been erased or worn. There is no name on the back of my laptop sticker saying what product key to use. Thank you!

What virus? How did you know you had it? You run an anti-virus
the program? Which one? Is it updated? Why don't you use not to
remove the virus? So I had to upgrade to Windows 7,
Ugh! The upgrade to a different version of Windows does not remove a virus. In
did the upgrade when you have a problem is always a bad
thing to do and will be much more likely to make the problem worse than in
solve it.However, I have not the key product for Windows Vista or 7.
Where have you upgraded to Windows 7? Upgrade to a
legitimate version Windows7 is a bad thing, but if you went to one
a pirated version, it is likely to cause additional problems and you
are probably in trouble now and need to clean install a
copy legitimate of some versions of Windows. Is there a way to set up in Windows Vista or 7 because
my product key for computers, which was at the back of it, has
has been deleted or worn. There is no name on the back of my
laptop computer sticker saying what product key to use. Thank you!The product key on the back of your laptop is for what version of
Windows it came with and may not be used for all other versions. If you
don't have a product key for Vista or Windows 7, the laptop
no doubt supplied with XP. Is this correct? If it came with XP, it is very old and it is almost certainly elsewhere
low power for Windows 7. In addition the drivers you need for Windows
7 there are almost certainly not, and you will not be able to run
Windows 7 on it.At this point, you are probably in trouble no matter what you do. You
must reinstall Windows XP itself, but you no longer have your
product key and you probably haven't a Windows XP CD no more. You
can try to ask the manufacturer of the laptop to a XP CD and product
key, but I doubt if you can get at this late date. You can buy a copy of Windows 7, but once, you are likely in a way
low power for the drivers you need and it will be unavailable.Ken Blake (MS-MVP)

Activate vista after failure of computer acer laptop (acer would not out of warranty)
If anyone can help with this, we would be greatfull. (acer would not out of warranty) installed the hard drive in my office so that we don't lose our data and now vista needs wake-up, but we have not all labels on the laptop with this subject activation key.
We have received for the purchase of the laptop but how do we get a new key for her.Computers/computer, Acer laptop are Vista OEM licenses.
If Vista was preinstalled on your computer/Laptop(which it did), it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.
The license of Vista OEM is related laptop computer/computer originally installed on and dies with the computer/laptop.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop.See you soon.
