Laptop HP 15-ac014TU: upgrading Ram in HP

Hello

Wishing to increase my Ram 8 GB - what type it please and 240 or 204 pins.  Thank you

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

You have the Trail Bay type processor so a single location. You need a single module of 8 GB and it is the HP part number:

8 GB (PC3L, 12800, 1600 MHz) 693374-005

It works:

http://www.Amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-1600MHz-PC3-12800-KVR16LS11/DP/B00CQ35HBQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1443387940&SR=8-1&keywords=693374-005

It's 204 pin memory. But there are specifications more you must make sure to match: tension, density, speed, latency.

It's my first time here so I'm not sure I'm on the right track so bear with me.

I bought a * 15 HP notebook PC Energy Star r204ne * just now and now I'm wondering if its possible to upgrade the RAM. I tried to go to the page of user manual/support but came up with nothing else that information, he gave me, which is, I have 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM (2 x 2 GB).

So, can I switch to 8 or more or not?

    Thanks in advance

    It's a Core i5 processor, so it has 2 memory slots and memory max is actually 16 concerts. 2 x 8 gig DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM.

See page 76 of the maintenance manual and 10-15 pages before, too.

    Manual link

The problem is what to do to get to the memory locations. The motherboard must be withdrawn, believe it or not.

  • HP 240 G3 laptop: HP 240 mobile G3 Upgrade RAM help

    Hello!

I just bought a HP 240 G3 laptop and want to upgrade RAM 8 GB.

Here are the specs of the laptop of HP support assistant:

Model: HP 240 G3 Notebook PC

    Product no.: M1V30PA #ACJ

    Processor: Intel (r) Pentium (r) CPU N3540 2.16 GHz

    OS: Win 8.1

Current RAM: 2GB Hynix Semiconductor 1333 MHz (DDR3)

Can I go to a 8 GB Transcend 1600 MHz, or should I just get 1333 MHz?

Laptop computer supports up to 8 GB according to the directives of the brochure of the seller.

There is only a single slot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    See you soon.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

Actually, the manual says if I just read that Trail Bay models have 2 memory slots. I am skeptical. Is yours have a coverage of service for memory? If this isn't the case, it will require removal of the motherboard to access.

It seems that DDR3L-1600 memory is compatible with all versions of this model of laptop, even if some will be downclock at 1333.

The official number of HP for a 8 GB module is:

    8 GB (PC3L, 12800, 1600 MHz) 693374-001

It is the 15-n233sl model and the plug you have 6 GB. See page 42 of the manual here:

    Repair manuals

The manual indicates that it takes up to 12 GB which is a 4 GB and 8 GB module to the module but regularly, users have reported success with 2 x 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts. For most of the users 8 GB is a lot and it would mean just remove the module from 2 gig you have now and its replacement by a 4 GB. What that you choose to do I would have 2 modules size even for enable support dual channel. 8 concerts running dual channel is likely to be just as good as 12 concerts running in single channel due to incompatible modules. Hello

It's really old machine any kind of info on the upgrade of the operating system or the HARD drive can be very useful.
So, your old machine can scale up to 2 GB of RAM and modules of compatible RAM that you can use are the following:
    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
    1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

If possible, after a little on the OS. I want to say you found some drivers and use some tools specific to Toshiba and utilities.

    Bye and good luck

  • Tecra Z40 - A - the upgrade (RAM RAM)

    Hi all

Ordered little RAM to upgrade my Toshiba Tecra Z40 - A, but can not find, for the life of me, anything where you want to insert online.

I previously installed RAM under the keyboard (couple of clips holding it) and on the other, a small cover on the bottom, but the Z40 does not appear to be anywhere easily accessible.

Has anyone upgraded RAM on the Z40? Or is it a big no, no, because of the guarantee?

    Thank you
    Lance

Memory upgrade on this model Tecra is a bit complicated and, in my view, should not be done by the owner of the laptop. For some models of Ram upgrade can be done by the owner of the laptop and exact instructions how do proposed in document s user manuals, but not for your Tecra.

For full access to the RAM modules lower lid should be removed and it can be done by people of service only. If you do this alone you can void the warranty valid.
I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and ask for help or advice.

  • HP laptop - 15-ac026tx: SSD UPGRADE

Is it possible to upgrade my hard drive to an SSD? and if yes what SSD would be better?  Is there a particular type of SSD for each computer and RAM (DDR, DDR2, DDR3).

I thought he responded. Yes, you can remove the hard drive and replace it with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. The Evo 850 is an example of this type of SSD. Your warranty may be at risk by opening the laptop to do the upgrade, however. If you want instructions let us know and you need to plan a way to get the software on the SSD drive in advance.

  • Upgrade Ram on a Netbook NB200 - 00L

I gave to my two daughters a Netbook Toshiba NB200 - 00L. Both came loaded with Windows 7 Starter. If I just upgrade to Windows Home Premium, it will slow down computers. I was told that the maximum ram that can take netbooks is 1gig. However, I keep seeing that people are upgraded to 2gigs. I want to upgrade the ram so that Windows Home Premium will work better. Can someone enlighten me on this subject. Upgrading ram Home Premium support will be more effective? Also, is anyone Home Premium running on their netbooks without upgrading, and it is really slow? Thank you

    Hello

AFAIK NB200 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. Therefore, you can check the specs on the Toshiba site!

I m not NB200 owner but I improved my other laptops equipped with modules from Kingston. I've never had a problem with these modules. They always run stable and don t make problems.
