Laptop of HP ENVY 15 TS: problems installing the audio driver

Hi all

My product is the HP ENVY 15 TS laptop.

Product number: E7Z34UA #ABA

OS: 8.1 64-bit Windows

A few days ago, I opened my laptop to find that there is no sound coming from the speakers at all. I was completely baffled because the audio was working perfectly fine before, even after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I tried several solutions posted on other forums, such as install other drivers and uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and then scan for hardware changes. Now, however, when you try to update the driver IDT, it says that a peripheral attatched to the system does not work. What should I do?

I've provided screenshots of things that appear when trying to solve this problem.

Hello skyeisthelimit. I understand there is no sound emitted by the mobile phone. According to the description, I think that the question is focused on software. However, I won't remove the defective hardware of my mind. You have attempted a few troubleshooting, which is excellent. I'll provide some troubleshooting facilities (some steps you already completed). Please follow troubleshooting all in order, I suggest:

First of all, there are some tutorial of Microsoft Assistant that solves the problems of sound in Windows 8.1. Please follow the wizard until it is finished. You can locate this wizard here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=windows-8 & v1h = win8tab1 & v2h = win7tab1 & v3h = winvistatab1 & v4h = winxptab1

Then, follow the troubleshooting, indicate in this document from HP: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03257712

Finally, you will be asked to reinstall the updated drivers. Please install it: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-124012-1 & cc = us & dlc = in & lc = on & os = 4158 & product = 5450018 & sw_lang =

Assuming that the problem is not resolved, the next step is to refresh of Windows 8. This will force the computer to return to Windows 8. It will also clean the computer, to a certain extent (it is not as powerful as a recovery). For more information about how to update Windows, please see this document from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

If the operating system update does not resolve the problem, reinstall the operating system is the next step. Make sure that you back up all your data beforehand.

For more information on how to effectively back up your computer, please this document of reference: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us & lc = on & dlc = in & docname = c03270359

For more information about how to perform a system restore, please reference this document: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03489643

Please answer with the results of your troubleshooting. I'm only here to help!

    Hello:

Audio driver IDT (portable speakers) seems to work very well.

The problem is probably with the Intel graphics driver that controls the HDMI audio.

My recommendation would be to install the latest Intel graphics driver from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Error "Windows has encountered a problem installing the software driver for your device." Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error trying to install it.

So I got a wireless mouse for my first time and it won't even install on my computer. It isn't the mouse because I tried other wireless mice and none of them work. In my device under other devices Manager there are only 2 USB receivers listed with question marks next to them. It is said that they can not find the drivers for the device. Then under my HIDDEN I tried to update the HID-compliant device and the USB input device, nor able to update. This is the message I get.  Windows encountered a problem installing the software driver for your device. Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error trying to install it. Peripheral HID-compliant, the system cannot find the specified file. I already contacted EVGA about the issue, because there is where I got my motherboard, but they said to contact Microsoft and I didn't really want to pay 50 dollars to send them an email. That's all just ridiculous.

Well, I found the solution, just in case anyone has the same problem.  Apparently some day caused Wireless does not work on several computers. So you go into Manager for all of these research and device drivers manually. Then, you look for in C/windows/winsxs. Then the wireless mouse/keyboard should work.

  • Satellite A300D-15B PSAKCE - cannot install the audio driver for Win XP 64 bit

    Hi all

This is my first post here after hidden during the last week or so, my hope is that somewhere it helps and hope so!

I have a wonderful Toshiba A300D-15B PSAKCE with RAM 4 GB/O, but I suffer from some problems RESEARCH Holy function cannot resolve. I use this laptop as a box of development for uni/work unfortunately...

After a complete nightmare and Vista32, Vista64, I decided to go back to windows XP32, however this custom install, continues to claim a failure of a CRC file after (and Yes, that's with SATA in IDE mode and a disc of XPSP2)

I decided that I really DON'T want to goback to Vista, so installed Windows XP64. Now the first installation is very easy, I have the basic configuration, the chipset, graphic, network, CPU, usb, fine... except basic... and that's where I lost most of my hair... SOUND!

First try to install the results of the pilot of his failure, claiming the mmdriver.inf cannot be found or corrupted, obviously I checked, and yes there it is, downloaded pleasure the MMDRIVER. INF and placed it system32 and the installation always fails.

I also tried a "manual installation", in .inf files... which includes pilots XP32/64 and Vista 32/64 bit drivers, still the same
problem, the driver continues to not install. I am going bald. Exceptional drivers who moved there

Now, as I write this, I heard the rumor that the A305D uses the same
audio/graphics drivers... Well well... off to try something I guess...

If there is no help or ideas, I'd appreciate it.

    Hello

The laptop seems to use the Conexant audio chip. So, you will need the right sound driver for Win XP 64 bit.
Unfortunately, the European driver Toshiba page provides the drivers for Win XP but I don't know if the pilots would cover the OS 64 bit as well m.

Anyway, what you need to know, is that you will need to first install the patches Ms.
The fix KB835221 and KB888111MS must be installed before installing the audio driver.
If you have tried to install the driver, then remove it from the Device Manager and update Windows XP first!

AFAIK that SP3 already contains these patches then perhaps you should install SP3 first before starting with the installation of the audio driver.

  • Installing the audio driver in Satellite A100-773

I just installed Windows XP SP2 on my Satellite. I did a backup driver CD with my recovery CD. Now, here's my problem:

I followed the Installation Instructions and each device works fine, except my audio driver, I also have an unknown PCI device. I expect that the PCI device is the problem for my work not driver Sound. Maybe someone knows an answer to this problem.

I guess that the audio driver has not been installed correctly and so the sound doesn't work on the laptop. I think the unknown PCI device is the sound card.

I put t know how you installed the audio driver, but I recommend you download the latest version of the Toshiba page, then install the audio driver in Device Manager.

  • Satellite Pro U200 - installing the audio driver on Win XP

I have a Satellite Pro U200 and there is no sound - sound fine when attached to the DynaDock, but not when its autonomous.

Device Manager there down as an existing audio device - I downloaded the driver audio from Toshiba Web site but when I try and install it says "the HD Audio bus driver is required and not found" I did a little research and found in necessary MS hotfix KB888111 which I installed it, but the audio driver will not even install - ideas?

Windows XP must install patch KB888111 and KB835221 MS site before installing the audio driver.

-so finally you need to install the two patches
-Download Realtek audio driver from the Realtek page
-remove the old driver its the laptop restart of Device Manager and install the new audio driver download

    Hello

where did you downloaded the driver? On the toshiba Web site? Maybe you should try the driver from realtek home page because they are native and absolutely clear things from other manufacturers. I think you should try "www.realtek.com" and install the driver downloaded from there, once you have uninstalled the driver for your machine.

    Welcome them

How to install the audio driver on my l655 1fo? I download the driver of toshiba, but it cannot start. Can someone help me how to install it on Windows XP. Thank you

    Hey,.

Before starting with the installation of the driver it is important that you install Service Pack 3 for Windows XP, because it contains important updates for cards high definition sound. Otherwise, you are not able to install audio driver.

Download & install SP3 and then you can start with the driver installation :)

  • How do I install the audio driver on a presario sr1907cl

I'm having a hell of a time trying to install the audio driver on a compaq presario sr1907cl. When I try to install sp26731, it says that I need to install the Audio UAA bus driver from Microsoft, then when I tried to install it, I got a window that says my os is more recent than the driver. Looks like I'm just spinning my wheels. Don't know what to do to have the sound on this thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have never seen something like that just to install a sound driver, but I don't know that what has happened to many others.

    Hello:

You need to install the latest driver for chipset nForce XP for your model first and probably restart.

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/9701/en-us

Then see if the last driver Realtek works.

If you have installed XP SP3, you shouldn't need the msuaa driver.

Accept the agreement, download and install the element 4th on the list (first in green).

  • Problem with installing the audio driver (its external - Pioneer DDJ SX2 card)

I am 8.1 Windows 64 bit on a XPS 15 9530 and try to install an audio driver.
So I have a .exe which installs a driver for an external audio device to files, but it does not install it. It must install and register a .dll file in the system32 folder, but after installation does not appear the .dll file in the system32 folder. I tried it on another laptop (windows 64 - bit example 8.1) and there it works. So, it must be a mobile phone number.
I also tried as an administrator, from windows in mode safe and manually add the .dll file and save it with the regsvr32 command but without success. Any suggestions or corrections?

Another possibility could be that as I plugged the device until the appropriate driver has been installed (because I thought that the installation was successful), windows tried a driver compatible itself. He found a ' compatible´ (standard usb) driver, then maybe he uses as the driver go - to and therefore does not use the pilot added manually (with regsvr32 etc.). How can I delete the history of this action, so it s like I just plugged it the device for the first time?

Hello. I should have mentioned to not copy and paste your original post or else he might jump back here for the Audio card to the laptop, but for rephrasing your question about the question you think you might have with windows that prevents the installation of a driver. I'm sorry.

Also the topic of the thread must be something related to the operating system, not audio. A lotta settlement, I know.

I think that I think that you could use system restore Windows (type system restore in the search box in Windows) to cancel the installation of driver and the update attempt, by choosing a restore point before this time.

I don't know about your device, but usb devices I've used usually want the device to plug in before you install the driver from the manufacturer provided. For example, SoundBlaster installers want to 'see' the device before installing the creative software that comes with the driver.
