  I m not very well how the warranty works in Honk Kong but
  as far as I know European Toshiba are models of laptop computers covered by at least 1 year EMEA and workshop limited warranty covering parts and labor from the date of purchase.

  As far as I know, Toshiba offers warranty extensions.
  In my opinion, you must extend your warranty to something that would cover the damages for laptop internationally.

  I'll try to find a tool tiny laptop repair value mentioned in the subject line (but of course would be used for other small bolts, screws etc. on any notebook computer).  Prefer a toolset that has been magnitized and had some sort of holding tool for the 'gold' tiny bolts that keep the LCD on the chassis on this model (probably other models HP?); for example, a kind of small clip or bolt holders.  Not a professional, but I'm sure a set of tools are out there for this.

• Cannot restore my laptop-"Repair my computer" not appearing is not in the start menu

  Once or twice in the past had to get my phone and it was an easy process thanks to the construction recovery option (computer repair) in the start menu (when you press F8 on the Toshiba screen), but now when I press F8 during the Toshiba screen and go to the boot options, there is no option to fix my computer. Fix my computer is usually the first option, but the first option is now "Start Windows in safe mode". Fix my computer disappeared! :(

  2. are you able to boot to the desktop?

  First of all, you will not be able to downgrade to Windows XP. If the startup repair does not solve the problem then I suggest you to try the steps from the following link:

• No sound on my laptop repaired

  Recently, I took my laptop for repair as the CC was broken. After I picked it up from the store and returned the sound did not work on the computer.   Hello.  I recently had my laptop sent repair due to hard drive failure.  It is apparently a common problem with the notebook that I have, so I'm not too worried about it.  I'm more concerned about my privacy.  People to repair my computer will be able or allowed to view my files?  It is mainly because I'm just one person owner when it comes to my personal information and files, but I don't like the idea of someone maybe find my passwords by means of Google Chrome, or something similar.

  If the hard drive is defective and replaced, the defective drive will be sent to the manufacturer. They try just format the drive. No one will try to consult the data.
