LaserJet 1606dn: Attention required - windows 10 - laserjet 1606dn

I have a Laserjet 1606dn which is connected by Ethernet to my router. I can print to it from an office which is also connected by Ethernet to the router. I try to print from a laptop that is connected wirelessly to the router.  The laptop, I see the page Web server on the printer successfully. |' ve added the printer by using the parameters of Windows 10 / Add a device, and he says he's ready. When I try to print from the laptop, he gets stuck in the print queue and says Attention required without any explanation as to what is needed. I can still print from the office, so I know that the printer has paper and ink and is set up to print. Worry, desktop or portable on Windows 10 - 64 bit.

The printer has updated the firmware on the HP support site.

How do I know what attention is needed, or better yet how do I get this printer to print from my laptop?

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I read your post and see that the printer is not printing, just a computer on the network. Please provide detailed information. Check to see which port was assigned to the printer.

Printers and devices, right click on your printer and on the left, click printer properties.

Click the Ports tab.

If the printer is selected on the WSD port, try and create a new port by clicking the add a Port. You might have one in the list for TCP/IP for your name of the printer, if you just select and apply the settings.

We have more than a notch for checking on the Ports tab, uncheck SNMP enabled state.

 

Then click OK and apply.

Try to print from the laptop.

If you still encounter problems printing, download and run the print and Scan Doctor, he will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

    1. How the printer is connected (USB / wireless / wired / Bluetooth)?
    2. What is the operating system of the computer?
    3. Did you test functionality of the hardware (made copies) and they work successfully?
    4. Have you tried printing from different programs?
    5. Show all programs the same exact error?
    6. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software (important)?
    7. If you are using Windows, run the print and Scan Doctor and understand the results.
    8. Is the printer plugged directly into the wall (avoiding bars and surge arresters)?
    9. Have you completed all the updates of Windows/Mac OS?
    10. Have you tried using a different USB/Ethernet cable?

  • Boot Camp requires Windows 8

    In my mid-2015 15-inch MacBook Pro, Boot Camp (version 6) requires Windows 8.

    I have already downloaded Boot Camp 5.1, but of no use to me.

    My Windows 7 is a full 64-bit DVD.

    Does anyone have any idea on this?

    2015 macs no longer support W7. CMA 2014 is the latest models to support W7.

    When you create an installer with Win XP and LV 2009, I can check the box for requirements: Win 2000 or higher.

    But, when you try to run setup.exe on a system Windows 2000, the error message: this installation requires Windows XP appears.
