  I suggest you uninstall the printer and then reinstall it with the new IP assigned to the printer. Let me know what you find?

  I have an old printer (HP Laserjet 4050N) and just got a new office with Windows 10. I have two printers connected to it but the 4050N simply won't talk to her. HP printer and scan doctor told me there is nothing wrong, but no test page will print or it will print from other programs.

  These days, the best way to hang an old legacy printer is with an EIO network card.  You can buy them for little money on ebay.  You can use 600N, 610N 615N that everything will be cheap.  The card fits into one of the EIO housing at the rear and is very easy to install.  In fact looking at your post again once you have the model 4050N meaning originally, it came with a network card.  If there a just do a google search to configure the card.

  Hoping someone can give us a helping hand,

  We have 2 laptops, but do not have the computer knowledge with regard to the way in which they work outside the office.

  I just got a HP Laserjet 4050n, who was printing when I bought it, but I can't print now that I have it here at home.

  I tried to install the PCL5 and PCL6, both are sitting there in the Printers folder, but I can't use them without an error message.

  Too old for plug-and-play, it seems that HP support even more in their stuff, so completely lost in what to do.

  Advice please? is anything too technical, but someone who can guide me through the steps to get this think to print?

  I have a black and white HP LaserJet 4050 N.

  I was printing a sticker - like I do all the time, but this time the lip of the label is on the rise and the label has been peeled off and on the drum of the AO.  I removed the tag and clean the drum with alchol.

  However, when I try to print something, I hear a slight beep running noise.  Eventually, the printed page will look like this:

  The faded part is printed first, and then it becomes progressively darker as pictured.

  I replaced the drum OD, but there was no difference.

  Looks like a brand of roll for me, so it's consistent. I do not have the specifications of your printer in fromt of me but I would like to syspect that video I have provided which deals with reconstruction, could help you locate the part that must be cleaned. Because the drum has been replaced, it's something that's still sticking to it, which is to interfere with the toner or laser projection. As s micro Ribbon in front of the laser. Unfortunately, it was for decades for me so I can't get more specific.

  Oh and the image finally appeared correctly. That really helped. Good luck.

• LaserJet4050: How to set IP address in my old LaserJet 4050N

  Just, I went from routers and need to put in place a new IP address of the machine to match that of my new router, which I'll put in my system preferences. I went through all the menu options and the menu "configuration" but cannot find anywhere to enter the IP address. Print the configuration page shows the previous than my old router IP address.

  You execute the instructions I gave you?  If you did when the printer is ready and you wait about 2 minutes and then go to the information on the printer menu and choose the second item of the config page and select, the printer will print 2 pages.  The second page should have the new ip address of the printer and it should also say configured by dhcp or bootp.  It will be the ipv4 address and should look something like this 192.168.1.5.  Your numbers will probably be different but should have the same sets of 4.  Do not worry about the other items because they are automatically configured for you if the printer actually works the cold reset.  Cold reset is a new address that matches your router if you do it right.

  It is a computer network, directly connected to a hub, not in any computer. Same problem I have print Win XP on a computer on the floor or Linux on a computer downstairs. Is there an option in the 4050 menus which controls this? I was not able to find such an option. Thank you.

• Low memory on LaserJet Pro 400 M475dn

  Hi I keep getting an error message on the printer saying low memory every time that I try to print the PDF and then it cancels the print job, I get errors when printing pages or e-mail documents and were previously able to print PDFs without any error.

  I'm running OS X 10.8.4, and I think the connection is wired LAN

  As you mentioned that you were previously able to print PDFs with success, so the first point, I think it's if you print all the complex work now or if the error is found only some files or certain pages in the file.

  Try to simplify the job so it's actually too complex for the device to treat.  If a particular page or a few pages containing complex images or charts, then you try to print these separate pages to other pages.  Another way to simplify the work could be print pages in small groups (Group of 5, 10, 15 pages according to the total number of pages in the job & error frequency/symptoms).

  Other major steps that you can perform are:

  1) updated firmware to the product (whether the product is using the older firmware) using HP web link (applicable for MAC OS)

  The printer memory is full, which explains why you receive this error message. Try changing your printer and turn it back on. This should erase the memory of the printer. When you send print jobs to the printer, try to send the into small pieces. Each power cycle so ofter, your printer and clear the memory and your shouldn't have this problem in the future.

  I read your post and see that you have found an "Out of memory" error when you try to print. I will definitely do my best to help you.

  Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
  Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Laserjet M276)

  If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver, you may need to click the drop-down list to select the printer name to add it in.

  Try to print again.

  I've provided the steps to set up the printer via the IP Protocol, if the problem persists, which regulated the other 'Out of memory' errors

  Print a Configuration page to get the IP address of the printer. M276n of MFP HP LaserJet Pro 200 color and M276nw MFP - print a Configuration report.

• LaserJet 3600n: upgrade memory for LaserJet 3600n?

  By a suggestion in a previous thread, I bought Q7723A for my 3600n printer.  Q7723A is a module of 200 pins.  The pins are not aligned and it does not.  I've rechecked in HP parts Surfer and indeed she suggests Q7723A.  Once again, this part is * not * to adapt.

  The logical card slot accepts only a module of 144 pin memory.  (The logic board is model RK2-1058).

  Just to try, I tried a module SDRAM PC133 144 pin 512 MB.  On the printer, but displays an error "check DRAM slot 1" or similar if I remember correctly.

  By your post, I see that you have some questions related to the nfs HotSpot Laserjet M1218 printer. I'd love to help you.

  Once the faxes are cleared from memory, they are gone.

  The data sheet, provides just the classified memory 64 MB. It does not show whether or not it is on board.

  Most likely it is on board for this model. MFP HP LaserJet Pro M1218nfs Hotspot.

  Other models have an option to add memory to the printer.

  my new M276n printer has memory problems. Printing over two pages are stopped with a notification of "memory". I searched this forum and found a 'temporary' solution (reset printer to default settings) and a stage of 3 mysteriously missing (deleted the message). This does not in the long run because after only 4 more printing, I have the same problem again. I don't print many, mainly Amazon returns labels and information. Reset or not, the information page shows 127MO 256 MB available memory. What is the other half serving?
