  I never tried that combination however HP accessories for similar models are often a backward compatibility, but almost never before compatible.

  I have a strange problem that I hope someone can help me with. A bit of history...  We have a network printer LaserJet 4050tn on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Print Server. All our workstations are Windows 7 x 64. The printer uses the universal driver PCL 5 Version 6.1.

  The problem is that when someone prints to this printer and they want multiple copies, two jobs get sent to the printer. By example, if I want two copies of a Word document 2013 a pages, the double exits printer. In other words, I find myself with four pages divided into two print jobs. If I want only a copy, the printer prints only one page, as it should. This only seems to happen with documents other than Office as PDF files.

  We have a good number of these printers and it's the only one who acts with (that we know). Would that be a problem driver or something else altogether? Thanks in advance for the help.

  The issue seems to be with the 6.1 PCL5 driver. We have restored the printer on the PCL 5.9 driver and it works fine.

• Why not the iMac to see LaserJet 4050TN?

  I can't all of a sudden a HP LaserJet 4050TN to print from my iMac.

  Background:

  This printer & iMac has worked together last week.  Then, before you leave my office at home for a week, my wife has just pulled the cord the 4050TN HP LaserJet of the wall, instead of properly shut down the printer via the power switch.

  (Now I'm suspicious that this improper shutdown may have caused my problem somehow).

  I'm back to work now and I connected and power everything. But, alas, I can't print from iMac on Laserjet.

  1.) my iMac is connected to my Time Capsule via an ethernet cable and another ethernet cable goes to the printer.

  (2.) all the connections look OK. for example, the ethernet lights appear at each site to connect to the printer and Time Capsule.

  (3.) the printer CAN print that it works really well with my wife Dell that is connected to the printer via a serial cable.

  4.) when I Ping the printer from the network utility, get 100% packet loss. Then iMac apparently do not even "sees" the ptinter.

  Someone at - it solution or maybe me troubleshooting direct site?

  FIXED!

  The IP address of the printer had changed. I printed a new Configuration Page from the printer, the new address IP entered into my iMac and I have connected and you can now print.

  Hi, just inherited an old 4050 TN printer which I connected directly to my router using an RJ45 ethernet cable.

  My PC is connected via ethernet also cable to my router.  I can not get my PC or my network to recognize the printer.

  I tried to download the HP Universal HP.com and printing software that I hope, are the right drivers, but so far nothing that I allows me to connect the printer.

  I tried to add the printer to my homegroup, but Windows 10 always tells me that I can't create a homegroup on my PC, I don't know why it didn't, but I recently had to re - install windows 10 and my working group worked well previously.

  If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct drivers and installation software (do not have the original disk I'm afraid), that would be fantastic.

  My usual procedure would be to go through the printer menus and set IP DHCP configuration method.

  Then I would have to power cycle the printer with it plugged into the router and him give 2 minutes after getting a ready state and print configuration pages.

  Cannot get this printer to install. Windows does not recognize it and using the universal driver than the Compatibility Center me headed to the HP Web site also do any activity. I get a successful installation message, then a marker of error on the printer icon. I tried on my desktop or laptops, which are both new and not had any luck. This same printer works very well with my old laptop, but this facility was made by a professional at the time of purchase. Using windows 7 on both. I'm not on any network. • LaserJet P4515: LaserJet P4515 multiple paper jams

  Jam LaserJet P4515 continued in multiple locations, fuser, under the path between two tray and toner cartridge and toner area. Maintenance Kit life of 67% left, rolls have been changed, toner has changed, the vacuum cleaner, wipe with the cloth to dust and used air canned.  What else could we do?

  I searched on the OUTPUT of the fuser, PAPER END JAM and found a post indicating all food guide could be the problem.  After replacing the part (whole food guide) on Monday, there were not additional paper jams.   Thank you for your help.

• HP LaserJet 5200tn leaving wrinkles and marks on printed documents

  Hi all

  We have a printer HP LaserJet 5200tn here at the office who leaves the wrinkles and marks on printed documents. These lines and these marks do not slather with the touch of a finger on the paper. They vary in intensity - some impressions have more margins on them than others (see attachments). These marks appear on the bottom of the pages, but there are some in the upper right.

  I tried to replace the toner as well as cleaning of the roller behind the toner cartridge, however it only did not help.

  I think you have to buy a maintenance kit, Q7543-67909 part number, to fix this problem - but I wanted to check to see what your thoughts are with many people.

  What do you think? Please see the attachments. These attachments are two blank paper printed from Microsoft Word documents. Please ignore the pale lines and dark seen in the middle of the spare part, these are just the analysis of printed documents.

  Hard to tell with the samples. Make what is called a half test. Place a sheet of paper on the manual before folding tray, open any other tray and make a self-test, it draws the paper in. When the rear edge of the paper into the printer, quickly open the toner door to stop printing. Now, remove the toner cartridge and look at the picture without fuse below. If the fault is present the toner cartridge is bad and must be replaced. If the defect is not present then the fuser unit has a problem and maintenance kit would be a good idea. You can work around probably install the kit right now if you use only letter or a legal document. Just reposition paper in the tray, so the edge is the side 8.5 what you can do. I think it is called letter-r for rotate. This can work because most of the time the problem is sleeve fuser film starts to go bad on the edges. Having the book go thru in the position of rotation bypasses the bad part of the fuser unit. Good luck.

  Running Win7 32 bit.  Have had the printer HP LaserJet 4050tn installed for 2 years.  It is on the network and is always accessible from other computers on the network successfully.  I was printing to it in a billing program web-based when my PC froze.   Rebooted and was no longer able to print to it.  Tried to delete the printer, the spooler of compensation / Max ', and re-installing the printer with drivers downloaded from HP (tried the standard and universal drivers).

  When I try to install the printer I get a message "Player of the printer was not installed.  Can't find a Package of basic driver required by the printer driver package"

  I have a Brother MFP 2820 it is USB and it works very well.

  Sorry if this is a silly question. I have a Laserjet 4250 supplies status page. The "Maintenance Kit" section in the top right says 5% "." Is this to say that maintenance kit has 5% of his life on the left, or 5% has expired?

  Most of the time, this would indicate that you have 5% left on the maintenance Kit before you start getting messages to replace the kit. If you don't reset this counter when you installed the last count of maintenance so it is difficult to say if she reported with accuracy the percentage of true. • printer does not properly feeding paper

  I use a HP Lase Jet P2055d for several years without troble and suddenly stops pulling in the paper correctly: if I use 1 Board he shoots he 1 on one side and immediately jams; If I use tray 2 he says that the paper is blocked but it looks not even tried to pull everything.

  I tried to turn off for a while then turn it back on, even with the computer and reconnect it, but always with the same result. Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this?

  Could be:

  • A (very) small piece of paper caught in the mechanism and is causing jams; maybe try to erase using more thick thick paper/paper, if you can't find it?
  • Power rollers have become dirty and need (place) cleaning.
  • The animal rolls have worn out and need replacement (part of a maintenance kit?).
