LaserJet 9050: TCP/IP RC:-0000001 ERRNO: 0000032

Remote printer intermittently gets RC:-0000001 ERRNO: 0000032 port connection broken errors. All features enabled are selected. SLP, mDNS, 9100, LPD, Telnet, Mulitcast IPv4, FTP, & PPI.  mDNS service of highest priority is set to 9100 printing. Other things are the IPP, LPD (vintage, bindps, text, & auto)

The printer is located in Valley Forge. Local printers are configured in the same way and have not recived any errors. Network sees all problems at their end. They think it is a printer problem. Any help will be appreicated.

Kind regards

I don't know if this printer has a Jetdirect embedded on the trainer or an internal Jetdirect connected in an EIO slot.

In both cases, my approach would tend to be the same, I would get a direct jet 620n and configure it with the IP settings for this printer and then ship it to the site and replace the existing card or have it installed in one of the slots on the card and the ethernet cable that was placed on him.

The 620n was a reliable map and they can be purchased in a relatively low cost.

If my post is solved your problem and click the accepted as button solution under him.

I manage several computer labs on my campus, and two of them contain three HP LaserJet 9050 s.

During the two semesters, I saw an increase in the number of errors 49.4C06 on my 9050 s.  The first thing I looked at was firmware.  I updated the firmware on all printers (Datecode: 20150211 08.270.1) and the problem persisted.

I finally reduced the problem to PowerPoints that use the font "Arial Rounded MT Bold", and are printed using any PowerPoint printing other than 'Full Page Slides' layout.  Students commonly use the "3 slides" or "6 slides" options when printing their PowerPoints instructor.

It is interesting if 'print' the PowerPoint using the AdobePDF problem page layout using Acrobat Pro and print these PDFs again the SAME error occurs.  When the error occurs also depends on where in the document, the first instance of the police occurs.  If the font is to the first slide, the error occurs immediately.  However, if the police are several slides deeply the doesn't error until the page that appears in the police is ready to print on the printer.  I saw this problem yesterday afternoon when the first 12 slides of a PowerPoint correctly, print two pages of a six print layout, and then the error occurred.

Print servers are currently using print PCL 6 universal driver "HP" version dated '61.130.4.12834' '2012.04.24 '.  I tried also to print these PowerPoint presentations directly to printing in question using direct IP printing with the same driver "HP Universal printing PCL 6" but version "61.175.1.18849" dated "2014.11.20" with similar results.

I share this information here for others who seek to solve this problem.  In addition, you want advice and perhaps in the hope that someone from HP can see this thread, contact me, and we can work to get this problem solved with an another firmware update.  I have two examples of PowerPoint presentations that is known to cause this problem on all three of my 9050 s if someone from HP to contact me for them.

Everyone thank you for your time and good luck.

I suggest that you try to configure the PostScript driver for one of these printers and printing the same document and see what happens.

  • 9050: HP LaserJet 9050 printer

Could you help me check it is this model can be printing/scanning through wireless?

Could you let me know the wireless configuration link where?

    Best regards

Chances are that the printer lacks a direct wireless network card.  This does not mean that we can't access it through a wireless device.  If the user has a wireless router and is able to connect an ethernet device to the router with a cable which should be able to connect the cable from the printer to the router, have the printer to obtain an ip address on the network and should be able to print to the printer, wireless network devices.  If she wants the printer to be able to stand alone with no wires except power, then she will have to buy a direct wireless card and then are not good cheap.

  • LaserJet 9050

After the printer warms up (30 minutes) the screen goes white, backlight always on, turns off the network. Power cycle still not good. Turn the printer off for a few hours printer works fine until it heats up again.  Replaced trainer, DC controller, same problem.  Any suggestions?

If the test engine is ok, which eliminates the controller power supply and dc.  What memory and firmware.  Have you moved since the trainer from the old to the new, or you use the same memory.  This could be the problem.  After it is run a log of the events in the menu diagnosis and see if the last error is the current number of pages.  If that's what is the error message or an event?

    Hello

On many different models of the HP LaserJet, life County goes backward.

I have trawled through the forums and found this issue several times before but I still have to find answers.

HP LaserJet, many different models, we have thousands of printers in our society, many of them. We all control our machines through SNMP software. When we looked at the lifecount of machines, we saw machines fell thousands of engravings. To check that it was not the software we physically is went to the machien and printed pages of config which showed the fall. Suddenly, the machines that had been installed a few years ago had made only 200 prints!

We had manually a wide reading of some of the machines - a week later, when the SNMP alerts us to a drop of water, we went to the machine and playback was lower - there defintely lost charges.

I also know that it is not isolated to us. I saw him to other companys. Please can you help push this problem transfer or have a resolution.

    For example:

The printer was showing a number of 56 000 prints, then 20,000 pages.

-I think they fall mutiple times, sometimes for less than 10 prints, some up to 40,000.

I saw concerned models: (I've added what I think, it's the release date)

-We tried the Firmware update on a sample, but this had no effect. I knew that it would not help as this issue seems to go through a large number of machines and many different firmware versions.

-It is 100% not someone set to zero off the machine.

The problem with the question is that if you're looking for him so it is unliekly you will see it.

Some of the reasons why it is important for the correct lifecount.

-Many machines are charged cost per copy of our days. If these charges are incorrect it will do questions.

pre-owned - 2nd may have a much higher than the desplays machine number.

-Audits of companys will be incorrect/how much is a printing company.

Thank you for your help in advance

    Hello

I wanted to update everyone on this issue that I've seen some other reports of the present on the web.

I was in contact with HP and registered a case of this problem. HP have reproduced this issue themselves - so it's a fault in the machine. They believe that this is a big in the firmware and are working on a fix for our machines. I suggest, if you have the problem you contact HP and save it.

  • LaserJet Pro M402n: Cannot print on LaserJet Pro M402n on port TCP/IP for Windows 10

I'll put up a new workstation Windows 10. It is brand new with all updates applied. The printer gives me fits. I tried to install as myself (with administrator privileges), 'run as administrator' and logged in as a local administrator and I got the same results each time. I used 'install' and 'non-installateur' version of the most recent drivers.

The printer is a HP LaserJet Pro M402n. I'm installing a Standard TCP/IP Port. I can ping the printer. I can get on the printers web interface. Likewise, the installation program detects the printer and gives no error. But when the installation is complete, and I try to print a test page, nothing happens.

The same printer is configured the same on my old Windows 7 workstation which is still on my desktop and connected by the same switch and on the same subnet as the new work center. It prints very well.

Any ideas to get this to work?

Got, it works. It had to be that something gimped upward in the initial installation of Windows. I've reconfigured on the PC and was able to get the printer to work first time.

    I swapped the ethernet cable.

Mysteriously, this was probably necessary for the connections to stay together long enough to get friendly.

I have reset some things on the ATT, plugged and unplugged modem ethernet cable, obtained on other issues, I have to solve... and, Lo and behold, the LCD screen on the front of the printer has started to display the IP address.

A few days ago I bought the new router Cisco RV 120W and 100 HP Laserjet color MFP M175nw and

    Hi yarzig

I understand that you are unable to configure the wireless to the printer.

Make sure that the computer is on the right side of the network.

Unplug the ethernet cable from the printer.

Restore the default settings of the printer.

Arrow to restore default settings, ok ok, right on the selection of the printer setup button, arrow right in the service menu.

Print a configuration report to check that there are no IP address and name of your network. (SSID)

Go to the install button (key) on the printer, arrow to the reports on the right, select config report.

Now, connect the ethernet cable from the printer to the router.

Wait about 1 minute and print the configuration page to get the IP address.

If you have an IP address valid address for the printer, try and access the web server integrated.

Type the IP address into the internet address bar explore.

If it loads the page from the network printer then the printer is on the network.

Now, we can configure the wireless connection.

Click on the tab of networking, on the left, select Wireless, fill in the information. Apply the settings, once you get a response back, and then disconnect the ethernet cable from the printer.

Should get a solid blue light on the printer.

Now, run the Add Printer Wizard.

If you use Windows 7, go to start, devices and printers, add printer, go through the wizard. Should find the printer and install the driver. If not, go to add printer, select local, select Create a new port, click on menu drop-down and select TCP\IP, next, type the IP address of the printer. Continue the wizard.

Make sure the printer is online.

Test it wireless and see if you can now print.

  • Printing problems with HP LaserJet 4050 TN

    Hi all

I have a HP LaserJet 4050 TN and I connected on my desktop Dell (8 64-bit Windows) with a parallel cable / USB (TrendNet 1284).

When I try to print, nothing happens (eventually I get an error message from Windows 8 on the right that says: "error of HP LaserJet printing...) The printer could not print").

The printer is on, of course, and it is able to print (for example, test configuration page prints very well).

From the printer connection, looks like it automatically installed the HP LaserJet 4050 Series PCL 5 driver.  I tried to update and it says that it is up-to-date.

Any ideas what the problem may be?  Thanks for any help you can provide!

    ----

    Edit

    ----

Just to add that this printer model seems not support a network connection for the HP site. I try the parallel-usb connection since it seems to be the only option to connect the printer to my computer.

More that likely the IP you have assigned manually whenever you got the printer. The Jet Direct card is when you connect the ethernet cable into the printer. I have 2 screws in the top and bottom.

What I would do is a cold reset so your home network could affect its own IP address.

With the printer off, press the big green button, and then turn on the printer. Wait what he say cold reset on the display, then release the button. Connect your network cable, wait about 1 to 2 minutes for DHCP to assign an IP address and print a configuration page. The second page will show you the IP address.

Then go to your driver, click on Ports and change the port to a Standard TCP/IP port. If it is not available, then create a new port. Enter the IP address of the printer and print a test page.

  • Copy to printer LaserJet M1522: but Windows says it's on paper

My Laserjet M1522 copies perfectly but widows tells me it is out of paper when I try to print on the network.  I restarted the network, the computer and the printer. Is there anything else I can try?

When the computer tells you that the printer is in paper that means you have a problem of communication between the printer and the computer.  I guess that the printer is connected to the network and is loaded on the computer using the standard tcp/ip Protocol.  If this is the case, go to the reports menu on the printer and print a config page or a Network Setup page and look at the specified ip address.  Sometimes printers are losing the manual adjustment that was made years before and return to dhcp and find a new IP, preventing local computers to print to it.  To see if you can communicate with the printer on the network, simply type the printer ip address in your web browser on the computer.  You should get a web page.  If you have not, there is a problem with your connection to the network, cable or spending issues.  Reset the printer and see if he can find a new ip address, if this is the case.  Also, check the lights in the back where the ethernet cable is connected.  There should be flashing green and yellow lights.  If no light there is a problem with the cable, the network, or the printer port.  Whatever he says, most of the time when you have a problem where you get the out of paper message it occurs when the printer is connected locally to a pc via a usb cable and if that is the case, you should check this link and communication between this computer and the printer and if shared between the shared computer and reset the network.

  • LaserJet 2600n: LJ 2600n works only on Windows 10

I have a LaserJet 2600n on my network of small working groups.  I have recently upgraded to Windows Pro 10 x 64.  I had not used the printer for a while on my old system Windows 7 Ultimate so he did not appear in the update to win 10.  I'm doing work on the system Windows 10 and frankly, I'm really having a major problem.

I couldn't get my system to even see the printer in a first time, then I changed the IP from automatic to manual and set to a free IP known IP address and also verified that the gateway was correct by looking at an another settings printers.  I was not able to get windows to even find the printer.  I know that it is on the network, and it's on the same sub-group because I can ping.

I got the printer assigned to a new TCP/IP port that I created, but for some reason strange Windows insists that the printer is offline.

Can someone tell me please on how to get this printer to be recognized on Windows 10?

BTW, to add more pain to the mix, I also have a LaserJet 2840 I have to add to the system.  I won't even try until I get the 2600n run because I'm sure I'll have the same problems.

    Thanks for any help.

    L

You say that the printer appears but is offline.  Have you gone in the properties of the printer (first properties) and click on I think preferences and it should be the engine and see if you can click to edit or update the driver and see if it can find a new driver.  This printer uses what is called ready jet that requires the software on the computer because the printer does not have a processor.  From what I've seen on the site of hp, the printer software is supposed to be built into windows 10 since no drive is listed on the site.  Here is a link to the software for usb connection that hp had for windows 8.  It can run on windows 10 machine which can then enable usb printing and if it works then under usb, you might be able to change the port on the local tcp/ip port.  Good luck.

  • HP color laserjet 4550n: HP color laserjet 4550n

    Hello

There are two issues related to:

    (1) I have a HP Laserjet 4550n and it does not connect via USB.

    (2) when I go to HP to find the drivers for windows 7 64 bit, then click ok... it gives page not found.

Is there someone on the forum who has made a successful conversion using a parallel to usb cable of IEEE1284c?

Someone at - it all got the real drivers to make this printer work with windows 7-64 bit?

Here many lift this situation and running, but I have no other place to ask for help

    wontonsoup

First off usb parallel cables are hit and Miss.  Windows 7 like also to detect automatically printers so even if you get a good adapter it finds the printer, but then cannot find the driver even if drivers for other LaserJet color work with this printer.  If you have a small home network or a wireless router to open the ethernet port, suggest that buy you a map of EIO Jet direct from ebay.  They cost about 5-10 US.  You can use the 601N or 615N.  Install the card in one of the EIO housing at the rear of the printer.  You just remove the 2 screws that fix one of the dishes of the cover and install the card in the slot with power off.  You connect the ethernet cable to the router or switch, turn on the printer while holding the big green button until cold reset appears in the display of the menu and then release the button.  When the printer is ready, wait 2 minutes and then go to the information on the printer menu and print a configuration page. The second page will have network settings including the ip address of the printer.  This ip address to add the printer.  You go to devices and printers, add printer, then down creates the port and in the drop-down menu, choose standard tcp/ip, and then follow the instructions until you get to the page of decision-makers.  You choose the hp on the left and then on the right scroll HP Color LaserJet 4650 if the list or of any color except 3600 laserjet model.  Top finish and print a test page and it should work.
