LaserJet CP1525NW: CP1525NW will not complete install

We had a CP1525NW LJ and it worked perfectly until what our society of broadband services has forced a new modem wireless on us cable and I tried to reset and reinstall everything since.

I can install it for a direct USB connection very well, but wireless is an absolute no-go.

I received that told me an HP Expert was the way to reset the printer to the factory status, but that makes no difference. I even had the opportunity to try from scratch with a brand new, out of the box computer, but I keep getting the same error.

When I install software, I get to the screen to choose how the computer connects to the printer and I choose "through a wireless network" and it tells me to connect via USB so that wireless network settings can be transferred to the printer, and it goes along its merry way talking via USB to the printer until it crashes at 15% in the configuration phase :

Then, the next screen I get is:

This same thing I try few any computer with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, etc..  No difference, still the same error.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Brian

Hey @bhartmann10,

I hope that settings would have the opportunity to join the network your HP Laserjet. Now, let's try an Ad-Hoc wireless configuration. Please follow the steps below.

1. with the wireless blue light flashes on your printer, look under the list of networks available on your Windows computer

2 below the list of available networks, you should see your HP Laserjet appear in the list

3. connect network HP Laserjet

4. after a few minutes flashing on the printer wireless light goes solid. Wait for the blue led is solid before you continue.

5. once the led solid on your printer wireless, please print a Configuration report from the front panel of your printer.

How to print a Configuration report:

  1. Load plain white paper in the paper tray.
  2. On the product control panel, press OKand press OK to select the reports.
  3. Press the right arrow key () to scroll and select the Report Config.
  4. Press OK to print the Configuration report.

6. once the Configuration report prints please locate the IP address of your printer in the settings section of the product. Because this is an Ad-Hoc connection, the IP address must begin with 169.254.xxx.xxx

7. on your computer Windows Open the internet browser. You will probably get the message that cannot display the page that you are currently not connected to the internet right now, because you are connected to the network printer card. We want to keep you connected to the network printers please disregard the message "cannot display the page. In the address bar of the Web browser please enter your printers IP address . Don't include www. Search this site.

8. a website for your printer should now open. This is what we call the Web server embedded HP Laserjet (browser EWS) and it will look like this:

9. click on the Networking at the top tab

10. click on Wireless Network Configuration on the left hand side

11 make sure the status is active

12. Select join a wireless network

13. Select your network name (SSID) in the list. Just click on your network name (SSID) to select

14 choose your Wireless (authentication) security: maybe it's WEP or WPA. Enter your password. The password is case-sensitive.

15. once all credentials are met accordingly, please click the apply button. Blue wireless light will begin blinking on your printer. Please watch light blue wireless to strong again because it connects to your existing network. The connection may take several minutes.

16. on your computer, you can now reconnect to your normal network (SSID) name

17. once the blue on your printer wireless light went solid again you can print another Page of Configuration if you want to check that the printer has a valid IP address. Normally the IP sequence will start with 192.168.xxx.xxx but it is not unusual to have different numbers, depends on the configuration of your network. You won't see 0.0.0.0 or 169.254.xxx.xxx for an IP address even though, as they are not valid.

18. Once your printer wireless light is solid and the printer has a valid IP address, you should be able to run Setup again for a Wireless connection. You can now find your printer on the network. Should not be need USB cable.

If you experience problems connecting to your Windows computer for the name of a network HP Laserjet in steps 1, 2 and 3 above, you can instead to plug an Ethernet Câble to the back of the printer and the other end into the router. This will allow the printer to communicate with your network. Once your printer is connected to the router via Ethernet cable, you can print the Report of Configuration in order to collect the IP address. Use the IP address of the steps mentioned above for configuring the printers Web server integratedwireless. Once you click apply to send the credentials to your printer wireless, unplug the Ethernet cable and wait for the blue wireless light go solid. Once the light is solid and run the wireless installation.

Please let me know if these steps manually wireless configuration work for you. Fingers crossed!

Printer laserjet cm2320 will not complete installation, when I use the original product CD.  There are several different downloads for Windows 7 (64 bit) on the HP site for the laserjet cm2320 multi function printer, then where exactly should I use (and which are the most up-to-date)?  I've seen several posts of 2009-2010 on install problems with Windows 7 - with none of the real solutions to the cm2320 - and I was wondering if there was a fix yet.  The printer (2320) appear on my PC (which ran on Vista before my recent visit to Windows 7) and will print with USB cable connected to the printer, but the ends of the installation on the original CD before the wireless configuration, etc. can take place.

  • Feedly Extension will not be installed. Solutions?

Apparently, some are not having problems with the extension installation (see the dates of the examinations on the sheet), but I am. It installed perfectly on Firefox 21 before (more problems with it later if). In FF 22 is no longer installed now.

What happens is whatever the method (i.e. install directly from the page of the add ons or extension console built into FF) the extension is not installed. I have download the extension, he invites me to restart. I do it, only to come back to the inability to locate even the button for the extension. It is listed as installed in my overview of the extensions, BUT I can always click on the button install Feedly extension page (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/feedly/). Subsequently it "installs" again, but with the same problem as before.

I even went back to 21 FF to see if it would work again, but it was nothing not done, now I'm really confused.

No matter how many times I try (complete uninstall / reinstalling FF did not help) the right extension will not be installed. Is - fixable?

  • Photosmart Premium C309-g: the drivers and the printer software will not be installed.

My network all-in-one Photosmart Premium C309-g worked very well on my desk until recently, when suddenly the HP software could still see and connect to the printer, but Windows 10 could not. I tried to remove the printer and uninstall all associated software, then tried to reinstall the software. Unfortunately, the installation will not get to the point where it starts and then suddenly disappears with no trace of her still running in the background. I can deviate from the default installation and bring to the top of the page to select the components that I want to install, but when I do the button 'ok' on this page does not work. No matter how many times I click on it, the page remains open and the installation will not so fast. If I click Cancel on this page, it disappears and the installation back to the previous page, where I can choose to continue and happen almost immediately out of sight again. This happens whenever I try to install selected software and drivers. I deleted the printer from the devices page in the Panel, I made sure to this it is not is more listed in the Manager of peripheral devices (printers and imaging devices), I removed the Windows 10 print queue and I deleted all the data of the folder under the Program Files (x 86) HP folder on my hard drive. I also disabled Windows Defender and run the installer as administrator, yet none of these steps help the process at all. I have never, in my 20 + years using nothing other than printers HP, encountered a problem like this. I'm used to receive error messages during the installation of software to fail, but I have never had a process simply disappear from the computer without leaving any trace of never having run. I hope that someone out there has an idea, that I have not thought yet, transferring files to my tablet to print from becomes a pain in the rear.

Welcome to the HP Forums @GarfieldFan1969,

I understand the printing software will not fully installed for your Photosmart C309 on your system Windows 10, and I wanted to answer with my suggestions for trying to help! Here are my suggestions for you to try. When you are finished, please let me know the results and problems or errors that you may encounter!

First step: clean boot, restart the PC and try the install again.

    1. start by typing "msconfig" in the search box of Cortana, and then click MSConfig (run command)
On your keyboard press Windows + R key at same time and type Msconfig in the run window, and then click OK or press ENTER.

    2. now, choose Selective startup

    3. Remove the check of the Load Startup items

    4. click on the Services tab

    5. check "hide all Microsoft Services" and then click on disable all

    6. click apply , then OK

7 restart the PC and temporarily disable firewalls or antivirus programs

8 run the Installation Wizard for Windows HP printer to install the printer

9 turn on the firewall and start services

Second step: you unregister and re-register the Windows Installer Service:

    1. hold down the Windows key + R to fill the box "Run" and type cmd.exe, and then click OK.
    2. at the command prompt, type msiexec /Unregister , and then press ENTER.
    3. at the command prompt, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.
    4. at the command prompt, type exit and press ENTER to close the command prompt.
    5. run the Wizard for Windows HP printer installation

Step 3: run System File Checker Scan (up to 3 times) to repair the corrupted system files:
    1. go to start
    2. type CMD
3 right-click and run as administrator
    4. to check and repair the OS type sfc/scannow (note the space between sfc and ' / ')

You may need to run this upward to 3 times to solve all the problems

When finished, it will say one of three things
Windows did not find any breach of integrity (a good thing)
Windows resource protection found corrupt files and repair the (good)
Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some (or all) of them (not a good thing)

    Try to reinstall the printer.

Step 4: activate the built-in Windows administrator account

    source

    1. first of all, you'll need to open an administrator mode command prompt by right-clicking and choosing "run as Administrator" (or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Enter in the search box).

Note that it works the same in all versions of Windows. It just search for cmd and then do a right-click on the icon of the command prompt in the start menu or the boot screen.

    2. If you are in Windows 8.x or 10 you can click on the Start button and choose to open a command prompt in this way.

    3. now type the following command:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

    4. you should see a message that the command completed successfully. Log out, and you will now see the administrator as a choice account.

(Note that this screenshot is for Vista, but it works on Windows 7 and Windows 8 and Windows 10)

You will notice that there is no password for this account, so if you want to leave it enabled, you must change the password.

    Try to reinstall the printer.

  • Windows Vista will not complete installation on SATA hard drive

I tried to install Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on a new desktop computer Acer X 1200 (less than 1 year).  Vista recognizes the drive, format and copy all the files on the disk installation.  Then restarts, is preparing to launch for the first time and get to the part where it says installation finished and hangs there.  The green progress bar does not move and it hangs indefinitely.  The hard drive is SATA and I put a new disc in hard, but exactly the same thing happened.  The motherboard has no IDE port on it and there is no option in the BIOS for the IDE emulation.  At this point I think the motherboard is bad, but I am working also on a laptop HP 1 year with SATA hard drive that does exactly the same thing.  The two systems are pre-installed with Vista Home Premium.  The two systems see the hard drive, but will not complete installation.  I even tried to run the WD Tools Data Lifeguard before installation with no luck at all.  There is no error message or error code, just of hangs and end no installation.  You have any suggestions for this?  Thank you.
