Windows 7 64-bit, M604dn. When I plug the USB printer, Windows reads: Windows cannot identify the device plugged into the USB3.0 hub. During installation of HP, he does not communicate with the printer. Shows Device Manager: unknown device. Suggestions?

HP LaserJet M604: 50.2F.11 fuser error
This is a new printer with only 1400 impressions. I get this error: "50.2F.11 fuser error". I shutdown, unplugged the printer and restarted. The same error was generated. What else is there to do in addition to the replacement of the fuser unit? The warranty is through November 2016.
I called HP Support, and the machine was still under warranty. They sent a technician to do the work. The error had nothing to do with the fuser unit. I've been a bad diet that feeds the fuser unit. I am always disappointed by the quality of Hp. My next purchase will be a Xerox.

Given the description of your problem, it seems that the shutter of the laser scanner could be dislodged and partially blocking the laser path. The laser scanner is just above the toner MAF and there is a metal shutter which is supposed to rotate with the opening of the upper lid to block the laser opening. You can try to use a mirror inspection and a flashlight to see if the shutter partially blocks the trajectory of the laser. If the shutter is dislodged, so it can be replaced but requires the removal of the top cover and the scanner laser.
You feel comfortable, remove the lid and the laser scanner? If so, I can send you an instruction on how to fix this. If this isn't the case, then you need to contact HP support to send a technician.

This happened on 02/10/15 and happened again on 24/02/16. We have two printers that depend on this file. HP Color LaserJet 553 and HP LaserJet M604. I have over a hundred of the M604 on my network and the last time that this happened, it dominoed across the print server system. This has also caused some spools of printing stop on end users. The only way I can get end users up is to uninstall the driver package.
This issue affects the Windows Server 2008 and windows computers 7 as well. Try to determine why this has happened twice and determine how fixit before the rest of my Server 2008 and end down as well.
The error lies in the hpb6sy2917_x64gui.dll.
This time I had to remove the printers and drivers with a regedit. I also deleted all files in all files for 2917 in the

First of all, make sure that your firmware is up-to-date, go to the page software and drivers on HP.com download and install the latest firmware available for the printer.
Then, make sure that the toner collection unit is not complete
Finally, print a cleaning of the control panel of the printer page, normally, you should select the following text in the menu:

- Calibration / cleaning

Color LaserJet MFP M477fdn Pro: M477 Software Installation fails at 99%
Like others who have posted here, I have been unable to get the printer software to complete the installation. The printer is a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn, 3 months. I'm trying to install the software on a new workstation HP Z240 performing Windows 10 (64-bit). The connection is via USB cable. The printer and the software have been previously used with a Windows 7 machine without problem.
I tried, repeatedly, to install the software from the disc supplied with the printer and also a 126.6 mb download HP Color LaserJet MFP printer M477 Pro series full software and drivers. The results are the same with a source - installation apparently progresses up to connect it the indicator product of progression from screen reached 99%, how it gives an error message "a Setup operation took too long to run. It is a fatal error, preventing the use of the product. Restart your computer and run this installer again. If the problem persists, please visit the web site of product support for your product. I think I understood the question, 10 windows installs its own driver, and the installation program expects the hp driver to install.
DO this FOR THE HP INSTALLER PROCESS (when the percentage meter goes)
1. go into the Device Manager and find the printer in the list of devices
2. right click on the printer and select "Update Driver software"
3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
4. choose "Let Me pick one...» »
5. Select the named driver: HP Color LaserJet MFP M477 PCL-6 Pro (make sure it's one with a dash between the pcl and 6!)
6. click next and back to the installation of hp box and must now see the printer and continue the installation.

- Then, close CMD and then restart your computer.
