LastPass is offered by Firefox more? Is MaskMe the new suggestion? These two Add ons do the same? What is the best, or should I use both?
When I generate a password in last Pass a window of MaskMe asking if I would like to generate a password. I was used to using the last past MaskMe was suggested by Firefox, so I added it. Is - this redundant? Is it better or should I continue to use last Pass? With all the concerns about security, I want to do the best.
Thank you
Hey - I'm Abine, the company that makes the MaskMe. Micro got it right, but I thought I would chime too.
LastPass and MaskMe have very similar characteristics when it comes to the storage account, auto-fill, and passwords. We have also enhanced security where the company cannot see or access your master password because it is stored locally on your device.
However, MaskMe has a set of features more wide that goes beyond the management of the accounts and connections to let you use the web without giving your real contact information.
- It allows to create aliases (or hidden) email addresses that advances in your actual Inbox, allowing you to block spam in 1 click
- You can also create alias phone and credit card numbers, so you can buy things or give your telephone number without dealers or traders who your real info
It all comes down to what you're looking for. LastPass is great at what he does, and so is MaskMe, but MaskMe covers several areas of privacy online if you are worried about it.

Building Firefox MSI with certificate authorities roots parameters ntlm and Add-ons disabled
I have to build a Firefox MSI with CA root installed automatically, some NTLM configured parameters, and modules disabled by default with users unable to make it back on.
I know that Add-ons can be disabled with Firefox running in safe mode. I know how to add the Root CAs and I believe I can change the NTLM settings while monitoring with EMCO (an MSI builder) without issue. Otherwise I know that I can create a config file for the NTLM settings.
However, I am very confused with how I should configure the certification authority root to be a trusted root automatically. I will try to follow up while I add these settings, but I fear that the package that I build is not complete.
I'm completely stumped on how to disable the modules. If it's a subject: config parameter, is possible to lock on: config?
Thank you very much for the help guys, I am always impressed at the level of intelligence in the Mozilla forums.

Here are two ways I tried to solve the problem, but not avail, unfortunately:
Files deleted from my profile as shown on a mozilla support Web site and restarted firefox folder.
With the help of Revo Unistaller is a deep uninstall (not only removes all the firefox program files but also some registry entries, the user prefs etc), rebooted the machine. Downloaded and installed Mozilla 18.0.1 and added all add-ons that I use mainly. I also tried to use the classic theme of the compact, but back to default to try to solve this problem.
Not all extension place buttons on a toolbar.
Some extensions add entries to the main menu and others for the context menu appearing when it applies to the situation. Are what extensions you referring that not displayed?

I really want to be able to make tabs on my browser again, but it does not work. Or control t, new file tab or by clicking the plus sign next to the already open tab will work. I stopped after losing this function using firefox, but I like it so much better that google chrome, I want again.
This problem may be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Modules > Extensions)
The details of your system display this toolbar to the user as AskTbFXTV5/3.12.2.16749 agent
See:
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

Have some difficulty in computer science. After some corrections, I couldn't connect to the internet through Firefox. Found the problem and corrected, but not before the reset my firefox as a possible solution. Now, Miss me the included search engines preloaded. In the window "Manage search engines", I have more preloaded search engines. I can download one as an add-on, but I don't want to fish through all the different out there. I want to just research that Firefox has preloaded. Is there a way to re-download and install these search providers to the toolbar without remove it, and then reinstall Firefox? Can I be sent the links for these specific modules "which must be preloaded" to add them manually?
You still have the default search engines xml files in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox program folder?
- (32-bit Windows) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
- (Windows 64 bit) C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\
If this isn't the case, then you need to reinstall Firefox.
You can find the latest version of Firefox in all languages and for all systems operating here:
- Firefox 18.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
If they are there, then delete the search.json file and a possible search.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

When I downloaded Firefox for my new computer with Windows 10, I opened Firefox and follow the instructions to put everything in place to operate, including checking my email address. When I finished this process, I had 3 tabs open. Then, I closed Firefox.
The next time I opened Firefox, 3 tabs opened. The additional 2 were on the same places they were until I closed Firefox.
I closed two additional tabs before you navigate on several times. However, whenever I open Firefox, the same tabs will appear.
How can I fix it? I want only 1 tablet to open.

You can find the homepage here:
- Tools > Options > general > startup: Homepage
Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).
If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

Modules, which are updated already installed and running (and have been for awhile), seem to think that they are not added. Looking at my modules in the Tools menu, they are listed as enabled. However, clicking to access their information page on the web (where you can read reviews, and where you initially chose to add them to Firefox), the "Add to firefox" button is available. (As opposed to some kind of "already installed" or button "Uninstall" or "Reinstall") I tried the button to see if pressing him THEN told me 'you have this', but it does not! He started to download the plug-in, I already have! What is going on?
Hello Amsuko, the "+ add to Firefox" button on addons.mozilla.org and similar sites is just a normal static element on the website. Web sites do not have the ability to query what extensions a user has already installed (it would probably be considered as a violation of privacy / security). When you install an add-on that is already present on your system, it will simply not be replaced...

The http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/css/58732/ site recommends a way to use vertical text in HTML/CSS (see example below). However my instance of Firefox 3.6.22 does not display this vertical text. Please let me know your recommendations.

This happens frequently. Something in Firefox continues to operate even when the program is closed. The process must be stopped before I can open Firefox again.

How can I configure firefox to scroll with the arrows?
I used to be able to scroll with the arrows, as if I was with my mouse wheel, but now when I push on up and down, firefox takes me immediately to the top or bottom of a page. How can I do so that it scrolls up and down slowly?
Click on the orange button Firefox, go to Options | Options | Advanced. On the general tab, check "Use Smooth Scrolling".
Also, either of these two Add-ons may help: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/yet-another-smooth-scrolling/

New Firefox, will not save the homepage and will open and display all add-ons every time!
Okay - years old now, I used Firefox ONLY - he had the best extensions and modules from any other browser out there. Add to that, it is safe and very fast. This is my default browser.
This week I logged on my DeviantArt site and odd ads began to appear in the lower corners left and right of the browser, unlike what I'd never seen before. Add to that, they were very inappropriate. So I guess something was wrong and went through three, as in 3, programs to find out if I got "bugs" the origin of the problems. And of course, there was a kind of nasty bug in Firefox, causing all sorts of questions.
So, following the suggestions to fix, as well as the suggestions on here, I uninstalled Firefox (21) and then reinstalled the new version, 23. At first, I thought, ' Wow, this is really very fast! When I opened Firefox it does not go to my home page, he went to the Firefox start page, as well as the opening of the tabs for EACH add-on and extension!
Yes, open tools, Options and reset the home page of my homepage, https://www.google.com
Simple and something I've done before. I'm a geek and have worked on my own additions. Set up my home page, has been working in Firefox and went to youtube to download a video it would not! So went to DLhelper, read their comments, changed one of the strings and voila! No problems!
So I thought it was fixed and I was happy. It was last night. This morning, I start the computer and the first thing we do is to open Firefox. And what happens? Oh, Yes, that's right, NOTHING THAT I wanted TO! It's back to the start page of Firefox, and it opens tabs for EACH SINGLE module!
Holy carp, tired now. So I research of 8 this morning until about an hour ago, so a little more than 5 hours, that I keep trying to fix it based on instructions of Firefox. Go to topic: config, work on channels, change the info from the home page, etc. Save it. Return to tools, Options, and there is my home page. Close Firefox and open and what the heck? Once again, back to where it was, opening, as if I just downloaded this browser. Now, I spent literally HOURS trying to solve this problem and I am so frustrated that I'm almost ready to uninstall it! My one complaint is that I've looked everywhere to try to find this same problem and it does not. Is true, I am the only one having this weird problem?
You can reset firefox?
See below for what it does.
