Latest version Adobe Muse does not open

I get the error (see photo), I installed a version of Adobe Air, a new version of Muse, restarted the computer and still get the question.

Can someone help I am working on a site right now and I need to use the Muse.

In case others encounter this problem:

One of the files needs Muse to write to become read-only. To fix on a mac:

In the finder, select go-> go to folder and enter "~ / Library/Preferences/com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3/" (without the quotes, including the tilde). Once there, click on the file-> information, which shows the information dialog box. Bottom is a section titled "Sharing & Permissions" - click on the turn-down to display the section. It must be a table of users and privileges, so make sure that your username is listed. If it does not appear, make sure that the privileges are set to "read & write". If it is not listed, click on the small button "+" and add your user. Then set privileges to 'Read and write' as above. Once that is done, take the same steps on the "Local Store" folder that is located in the AdobeMuseCC2014.3 folder.

Under Windows, paste "%appdata%/com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3/Local Store" in a window of the Explorer.  Right-click and select Properties. In the Properties window, make sure that the 'Read only' box is not checked. Then, go to the Security tab, make sure that your profile is in the "group or user names" section and that when your username is highlighted that the 'total control' is checked in the lower window. Do the same for the folder "Local Store" here as well.

Once these permissions are set, this problem should be solved.

    Burchie, your files have not disappeared. The list is that the Welcome screen is simply that of files recently opened. The list has been taken when AdobeMuse of application preferences file has been deleted, but the .muse files are still on your computer (probably in the Documents folder). If you go to file > open, you should be able to find them.

    Please try after the sequence of steps to make it work.

    1. uninstall any version of AIR on your computer using the Adobe AIR * remove Adobe AIR

    2 uninstall Muse to your machine using cleaning tool CC use the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems

    3 uninstall the applications Manager Adobe as well use the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems

    4. install AIR runtime 19.0 https://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html

    5. install the applications Manager Adobe Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Adobe Creative Cloud free trial

    5. once the MAO is installed then install muse and launch it.

    20/09/2014: had the Mavericks for ~ 1 month. Acrobat Reader from Adobe work very well.

    OS X Got notice of Acrobat update 10.9.4. I did and it could not be updated and got the above message! V. 10.1.12. I searched and found Acrobat v. 11.0.07, I trashed/uninstalled Adobe Reader 10. app & also trashed; Adobe Acrobat.com.app folder.

    I D/L new software Adobe Acrobat Reader v. 11.0.07. It worked fine!

    Then I upgraded OS X in v. 10.9.5. new software Adobe Acrobat Reader v. 11.0.07. Always worked well!  Hours later, he failed to start with the error message above again!

    (Crash newspapers available if necessary to solve this problem)

    Now using Mac preview to open PDF files.

    BTW, I clicked on 'get Info' on the reader app & see that a box has been ticked "open in 32-bit mode". Given that my Mac is 64-bit, I unchecked that box & tried again launch & same exact error.

    Please try unistalling Adobe Reader and system cleaning by the following steps:

    1. go to/Applications/Adobe Reader.app. Drag and drop this app in the trash.

    2. go to the Internet plug-ins present in the System/Library/Internet Plug-Ins library - / and put the following in the Trash:

    (a) / Library/Internet Plug-Ins/AdobePDFViewer.plugin

    (b) / Library/Internet Plug-Ins/AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

    3. go to/Library/Application Support / Adobe and move the following files to the Trash:

    (a) / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Reader

    (b) / Library/Application Support/Adobe/HelpCfg

    4. go to /Library/Preferences/com.adobe.acrobat.pdfviewer.plist and place this plist in the trash.

    Restart your Mac.Try install Adobe Reader ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/mac/11.x/11.0.09/en_US/AdbeRdr11009_en_US.dmg 11.0.09

    I should have added this to the thread yesterday after the solution has been found, I talked with Adobe and had their distance in troubleshooting for me so that the problem has been resolved. But I appreciate your help as well as information on the cleaning of Adobe for future reference tool.

    Please send your .muse file to my attention at [email protected] along with a link to this topic. Assuming that it is a recurring problem, it would be very useful to have more details on exactly what is being done between during the last activated menus and when they became disabled. A registration screen would be wonderfully helpful.

    If the file is larger than 20 MB, you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. (if you use a service, please include your email address in the body of the message back, given that not all services to include it in the invite sharing they send.)

    Acrobat 5 is not compatible with Win 7. Nothing that anyone can change. You need to buy Acrobat X or to resort to the free software Acrobat Reader.

    Hi - I have a problem, for some reason any does not open Adobe Muse - all that I get, it's the beginning of screen (see picture) then an error message asked I download a new version of the Application Manager (which I have repeatedly) but no effect?

    I deleted the folder OOBE - no effect, I've deleted and reinstalled Muse - no effect. The only change in the system since the running program is I downloaded CC Illustrator and Photoshop CC and installed Alien Skin exposure 7 and Intego Virus Barrier 10.8.5?

    I of course Web sites, that I need to work for any help with this problem would be welcome...

    Have you tried it on a new user account (user Admin).

    Sometimes this question can come because of the corruption of file/folder.

    I intalled PS CS6 yesterday to see that Btidge does not open. I have looked for answers since then and have not yet found any. I reinstalled just to see if it would make a difference, but it didn't. I'm currently under Windows 7 64-bit. Photoshop runs great, the only problem is with the bridge, and apparently I can't get any help from Adobe until tomorrow

    Thank you mjw5997 for sending me the dmp file! We checked and found that it is a bug in code Brige.

    This launch issue occurs when you install Bridge CS6 on a machine with installed CS2 bridge.

    We can repair, but I don't know when the fix can be published. [Currently we have workaround: create an empty folder in C:\Users\[your username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\.

  • Adobe InDesign does not open docs in Win 7

    I'll put up a new desktop PC which came with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium, V 6.17601 Service Pack 1, 64 - bit. I installed all the updates, which included SP 2 & 3.

    I then installed Adobe Creative Suite CS4 Design Standard (previously works without problem on Windows Vista).

    I didn't know by disabling applications before installing. I just put the CD of CS4 and all installed applications. No worries. All open applications. Photoshop works very well. Illustrator will not open due to problem of plugin. I ran across the Windows program compatibility tool and now it works fine.

    There are problems with InDesign and Adobe Acrobat 6 (which solves later).

    When I try to open previously created identity documents, I get the error message: "cannot open xx.indd. "Please update your plug-ins their versions the latest, or upgrade to the latest version of InDesign.

    I can't find anything on the upgrade of plug-ins for the most recent versions. How can I do this?

    I am currently with all updates of InDesign. I tried to run the application as administrator and used the compatibility tool (I tried to use the possible settings, each in turn, for Windows Vista, Vista SP1, Vista SP2 and XP (SP2 and 3).) I always get the same error message. I can create new InD docs, but not open all of my previous work.

    I even tried to change the plug-ins in the only place I could see under help > Configuration Plug-ins. I tried all 3 of the possible configurations: required, then all the, then Adobe, nothing done.

    Can someone help me? If this forum is not the right place for me to be, can someone please provide a feasible Adobe forum? Thank you very much.

    I thought that I had responded to this and closed the case. But maybe not. On the advice of the phone, we did uninstall and turn off the old CS. Then we installed CS4. He worked like a dream - no problem of compatibility at all.
