Latitude D610 - can you recognize more than 2 GB of RAM?

We wanted to do and defer purchases.  We tried to add RAM to a Latitude D610 to improve the performance of the user.  There is a 2 GB key and a stick of 512K.   It seems that A06 (2005-10-12) is the latest version of the BIOS.  BIOS will only recognize 2 GB. Windows recognizes 2.5 GB, but States can use only 2 GB.

Is there something that can be done so that it could recognize the 2.5 GB or even 4 (2 x 2 GB) GB, within limits of course 32 bit windows?

The ability of Windows to read the size of module memory chip on the module does not, unfortunately, to use it properly.  According to the documents available on the Dell support page, the D610 uses either the 915 pm or 915GM chipset.  This family of chipsets Intel specifications indicate a maximum of 2 GB on the memory controller.  An update of the BIOS would not help to overcome this limit, even if such update was available.

EDIT: If you have time you could experiment with a memory diagnostic to see if 2.5 GB installation will work without errors.

  • Can I add more than 4 GB of RAM for my 37 s Inspiron from Dell?

I am running Windows Vista Home 64 bit. My computer is now about four years old, but I don't have the money to drop on a brand new computer. However, I found a graphics card that must adapt to the inside and the race (it was recommended to the user who is running a system like mine on another post on the forum). Now, I just need a RAM upgrade, because I do not think that 4 GB enough for me anymore. Once I update the graphics that I intend using this PC mainly for gaming. I did my research and I think that if I upgrade the graphics and RAM, I should be able to do what I want to do with this computer. Ideally, I would switch to 8 GB of RAM, but I'll settle for 6 GB. I just need to know if it is possible to operate this computer with more than 4 GB of RAM, because I've not heard elsewhere.

It is not a model 37 s, but if you mean the 537 s, the maxium of RAM is 4 GB. http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Inspiron%20537s&cat=RAM

  • How can you raise more than 1 Advanced action?

I wonder if someone can answer a question very fast for me that I am struggling with at the moment
I have 6 batteries of 16 images. I have the user select the name of the image that they want to show in each stack, and then I have a tip action that runs to display only the image that they have chosen. Currently I have 6 actions, one for each stack of images.
What I have to do is to run every 6 Advanced actions when the user enters a page so that they see only the 6 images they have chosen on the previous slide. My problem is that I can't just run an advanced action upon entry of the slide (or a button or something else). Is it possible to combine advanced actions or to run more than one action from a single command? Or that requires a different approach?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello James,.

I'm a teacher also and was "seduced" by Captivate when I discovered its possibilities.

Your situation is a bit clearer now, though... will have a few more questions later.

First question: you can change the schedule for all the images "for the rest of the project. Then the image chosen on the first slide will be made visible by your advanced actions and will appear on the second slide etc. You're lucky, because in Captivate 5, it is possible to hide objects on another slide then where they sit really (hope you understand). So, if you don't need the images more, e.g. the third slide, you can create a tip on this third slide action to hide all of the images. It will be a very long standard advanced action, because you'll have to hide all of the images. So far you don't really store image that was selected on the first slide.

Second question: to have the teacher to choose the images. This would mean that the SWF published for students is not the slide with the batteries? It is here that the situation is not yet clear to me. You could create 6 user variables, a set to be given by the teacher:

    • v_stack1 could get a value between 1 and 16 (you could also choose the name of the image, but he needs more typing and typo-risk) and this value would be chosen by the teacher
    • similar you will have values for v_stack2... v_stack6
    • you change the decisions in your advanced actions Image1 IF is equal to v_stack1
    • in this case, you will not have a second slide, but could trigger the tip action at the entrance to the first slide.

You will need to tell the teacher how to change variables, which must be done in the Captivate file. But maybe this isn't the way you want to go? You want it to be possible for teachers who do not have access to Captivate? Next, you need to create text input areas (or a drop-down list if necessary) to fill in the variables. But the published file will remain the same for students, you see the problem? It takes more time to think about it, if you try to clarify or confiim my intuition?

  • What happens if you put more than 16 GB of ram in an iMac 2011?

    Hello

I just bought two cards of 8 GB of RAM, which gives me a total of 16. Apple says it's 2011 limit of the iMac, but I still have more than two dwellings and two maps of RAM of 2 GB that accumulate to a total of 4. So in total, I have 20 GB of RAM. So my question is, what do I do if I put all the 20 GB on my iMac? Would it be correct? It would start? He would kill it?

Sorry if my question is confusing!

    Thank you!

Depending on the tool Advisor in memory in Crucial , you can have up to 32 GB. The RAM sticks installed in pairs are the best.

  • Is it possible to get Windows 7 Pro to recognize more than 4 GB of ram?

I added and additional 4G of ram, is it possible to get Windows 7 to use it?

    Hi Joseph,.

    Using Windows 7 Pro 32-bit or 64-bit?
Unfortunately, if you use 32 bit, 4 GB of RAM is the maximum.
However, if you don't use a 64-bit, go to control panel > system > advanced system settings > under 'Performance' settings > Advanced tab > change under "virtual memory".
Here you can set pagefile size to be set automatically, or you can set the size manually yourself.
  • Can you have more than one to get action on a slide?

I would like to assign a variable to a slide on enter so I can have a script that tells the audio does not play again if they return to the slide.  I was able to do that on another slide by setting a variable on input, then the script basically checked the variable and hidden the audio object if the variable was = to 1.  I want to do it on another slide, but the problem is, I already have an action on enter on this slide.  Is there another way to assign a variable when the user calls visit one slide, other than the action on enter?

A standard action can be inserted as a decision, with a condition that is always True. Example:

IF 1 is equal to 1

    Assign the visited_coursemenu with 1

The sequence is important: If you want that to happen before your present conditional action, it must be the first decision, if you want to happen after, it must be the final decision.

I have a lot of examples on my blog (one in responses on this forum), showing that the current work. For most label this standard simulated action such as "Always" for apparent reasons.

  • Can you add more than one photo for a draw image layer draw?

I can't seem to find a way to add several photos or photo layer to an image to draw, but the draw on Adobe page seems to imply that several pictures can be added. How would I achieve that? Thanks for your time.

Unfortunately, the draw is currently limited to a single photo layer and only one photo within this layer.

    Hope that helps,

The files must be legal DVD or still to retranscode them. If so, it will use "automatic" (in which case it should adapt), or settings you have applied.

Look at assets in the project Panel and columns for the status of transcoding DVDs and transcoding DVD setting. What did he say? Or better, post a screenshot.

    I assume you mean DVD.

  • How to get Windows 7 to recognize more than 4 GB or 8 GB USB driver for ReadyBoost?

I have a USB stick 8 GB that I used it with Vista for ReadyBoost.  Of course Vista only recognized 4 GB for ReadyBoost, but Windows 7 is supposed to recognize more.  However, Windows 7 recognizes more than 4 GB stick for ReadyBoost.  How can I get Windows & to recognize more than 4 GB for the ReadyBoost.

    Hello

You can try to format the disk in the format exFAT?  Open computer with the inserted Flash drive.  It just right-click on it and select format.  The last option, you will see is exFAT and there, use the menu drop down.  Select and format the drive using this.  Then after it's done, right click on it again and select Properties.  You'll see the ReadyBoost tab.  Click on it and it will let you know if the device can be used and that therefore to ripped it on.

  • I can record is more than all of the new bookmarks after update to Firefox 40.0.2. I have over 1000 bookmarks and also use xMarks.

I can record is more than all of the new bookmarks after update to Firefox 40.0.2.
I have over 1000 bookmarks and also use xMarks.
I tried to remove 5 bookmarks and save a new bookmark, but it does not work.
When I click on the bookmark star, stars in the bookmarks folder jumps, but does not record, it does not offer the possibility of filing in the subfolder right it me and the star is not awarded (there should be one filled with stars when the Web site is updated bookmark)

Thank you for your help. I tried the maintenance of places without success. I have disabled xMarks, but it made no difference, I couldn't save all new bookmarks. I went on the site help above and deleted the "places.sqlite" file and recreates a new file, but it didn't work. I uninstalled Firefox full using IOBit Uninstaller and reinstalled, but I found this program does not delete the profile folder (used to have a checked during uninstall of Firefox, but it seems to have disappeared in the latest versions). The problem persisted.

Finally, I took a screenshot of all my addons. Then, I uninstalled Firefox again, then delete the entire folder profiles (located very usefully described in the second link above https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Bookmarks+not+saved#w_fix-the-bookmarks-file )
I reinstalled Firefox, reinstalled xMarks and connected and transferred all my favorites, I reinstalled all my previous addons and ALTO - it now everything works perfectly!

    Thank you for your help

  • Can I have more than one player iCloud folder in my finder? One account for work and one for personal use.

I want to synchronize my work to my home mac mac but don't want my work and personal files of mixture in the same iCloud drive. I want to be able to simply select the folder in the finder and access my files to work with my staff connected to iCloud services. I have 2 sets of devices. A working iPhone and a personal iPhone. My work requires that I have strictly for work purposes only to get rid of my phone personal is not an option. Is there a way to have the disc records hard icloud of two different accounts on the same mac under the same profile?

ICloud there than one disc for each Apple ID. You can, however, create more than an Apple ID, but that creates other issues as demanding that you trade ins iCloud to access the content of the newspaper reader.

You can create subfolders in your drive to iCloud for work and personal use. You can also purchase a subscription to more storage if you need.

No solution to this question. Each has its compromise.

Could you use, say, iCloud for your personal files, but use Dropbox for those work-related?
