Hi AnsonAng,

Welcome to the community Microsoft and thanks for posting the question.

According to the description provided, I understand that you receive a Notepad jump up all in connection to the system.

He would be grateful if you can answer this question in order to help you further.

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I suggest that you perform a clean boot and check if it helps.

Clean boot will check if any third-party application is causing the problem, as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to solve the problem by running the clean boot in Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Once you have completed troubleshooting, perform the steps in the step 3: to reset the computer as usual.

I recommend you let flow the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if that helps resolve the issue.

Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

We would be more than happy to help you if the steps above did not solve the problem.

    SOS!

The fact that your system works well in Safe Mode (w / network) indicates that a program run as part of your startup that causes this condition.  Safe mode is nothing else than Windows running with a bare minimum of programs and processes required to start your system (that is, all non-essential is cut off).

This problem will be a proposal of chance.  You need start your computer Safe Mode and run a configuration manager (msconfig or autoruns) and disable programs that run automatically at startup, until you find the (s) which is causing your problem in a selective way.  First turn off non-Microsoft and programs that extend if necessary MS programs.  These programs will warn you generally if you try to disable something you shouldn't.  After you turn off some of them, you restart normally and see if the problem persists.  Once you find the program/process disturbed, the procedure is usually obvious as to the difficulty (usually UN-installing then re - install)

Hi Mike... When the pop-up window appears at the top of the pop-up window, it should tell you the name of the software that is associated with the dll missing/corrupted. Please look and see if it is listed, and then tell us what software. Make sure that you list the full error message.

In addition, do you use a Linksys router to connect to the internet? You should also do a scan with Malwarebytesmalware. It doesn't matter what other scanners you used. Scan with Malwarebytes. Thank you.

  • Download the "userinit.exe" when the computer starts.

    original title: Start menu problem

Nice day! My problem is everytime I open my pc there is an error in Start menu, a popup message saying the application connection error practice word "userinit.exe". hope you help me to solve my problem. Thank you!

    Hi Melvin45,

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community!

Based on the provided desription, it seems that there is an error at startup of the computer. The likely cause of this issue is, if the Userinit key in the Windows registry has been changed or if there are incorrect shell registry settings.

I have a couple of steps that might help you to solve this problem, in my opinion.

Start the computer in safe mode and try to make these changes in the registry:

    Method 1:

Visit this link to know how to begin to count it in safe mode.

Start the computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 2: Check the data value and binary Userinit to the registry

Important: The following instructions contain the steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information, please see the link below:
How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

    a. start Registry Editor. To do this, click Start, type regedit in the search box and press enter.
    b. click continue.
    c. Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    d. in the right pane, right-click Userinit, then click on modify.
    e. in the value data box, type hard disk:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe, and then click OK.
Note: The placeholder of the hard drive refers to the drive where Windows 7 is installed.
    f. close the Registry Editor.
    g. restart the computer.

  • Blue screen when Windows 8 start

I encountered this problem repeatedly and randomly.  When I boot I have to press and hold the ctrl key to get to my admin login screen (to enter the password).  But this isn't my concern here.  When this problem occurs, I see only a blue screen.  There is no cursor and no key responds.  I opened a session in two or three times this morning and kept getting this blue screen of death.

Finally, I could connect and got a screen that gave me the possibility to send an error report.

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are that if you are unsure if you are, you are not)

  • Pavilion 550-153NA: allow me to interact with the mouse and keyboard when Windows 7 starts at startup

    Hello

I am trying to downgrade from Windows 10 in Windows 7. I tried to install Windows 7 but it keeps telling me that "Windows Setup experienced an unexpected error. To install windows, restart the installation. "I rebooted several times, but I still have the error. Then, I tried to install it by starting the drive at startup. All charge very well and the configuration screen appears. But I went to move the mouse, but it should not move. I tried several different mice and keyboards, but there was no hope, both USB 3.0 and 2.0. I did some research and found that you have to enable 'Legacy Support' in the BIOS. I did this, but there was still no movement.

If someone could apply their knowledge via a comment, it would be very appreciated that I constantly tried since end of December 2015!

    Thank you very much

I would try this new link.

I'm really confused why they would be able to search successfully for an accessory, but not another.  The notebook seems to be the only accessory not searchable.  Registration as a user in another OR with less stringent policies has no questions.

    Hello

Windows 7 / 2008 R2 doesn't use NTBackup.exe to back up files. Instead, it uses SDCLT.exe (in %SystemRoot%\System32\sdclt.exe( ), which depends on the shadow copy volume service.

If you do not want to install even when NTBackup.exe , you will need the files that you can get your Windows XP CD nt5backup.cab Cabinet or you can download them from the internet, then copy the files into a new folder (for example, copy the following files to %ProgramFiles%\NTBackup)
    • Ntbackup.exe
    • Ntmsapi.dll
    • Vssapi.dll
    • Ntbackup.chm
    • Ntbackup.hlp
If you have an existing installation of copy of Windows XP is already installed, please copy the following copy in a new folder (for example, copy the following files to %ProgramFiles%\NTBackup)
    • %SystemRoot%\System32\Ntbackup.exe
    • %SystemRoot%\System32\Ntmsapi.dll
    • %SystemRoot%\System32\Vssapi.dll
    • %SystemRoot%\Help\Ntbackup.chm
    • %SystemRoot%\Help\Ntbackup.hlp
NOTE: You may receive the following error when you start NTBackup.exe on Windows 7. This error can be ignored

The backup utility cannot connect to the removable storage service. This service is required for use with tape drives and other backup devices.

Please, get out and start the RSM service using the Services management console system function.
