  • Dead Reefs, Fisher price Internet Launch Pad

Since coming to windows 7 there were several games that have stopped working.  I don't mind so much about my games, but there are two games that my beloved grandchildren play during visits, and they are quite disappointed now that they operate more np.  In particular, there is a porate game called Dead Reefs by The Adventure Company. I bought this for the Vista platform and it has worked fine until the upgrade.  I am also having trouble with the Fisher price easy link Internet launch ramp.  Some of the keys work without problem, and some have stopped working all together.  Yet once, it worked well with Vista and order with 7.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.  Also, I tried Compatibility Wizard for both programs, and it does not help.

    Thank you!

    NToHo,
Neither listed games appear on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.  Make sure that you have tried all of the items listed here: make programs run on Windows 7.  If this does not work, you will need to contact the company of software on these programs.  It is possible that they are working to make Windows 7 compatible or already have an available update. • How do I remove items from launch pad

I have a couple of objects (they resemble games that maybe my kids tried to add) that are "pending" to download and install in the Launchpad.  I want to just remove it from Launchpad.  I can't understand how to do this.  Is there a method to delete items?   I can't find them in the list of Applications.  Execution of current updates of Yosemite on macbook pro.  Thank you

    Open LaunchPad.

Left click and hold on one of the applications. You should see the apps that move everything. Those who have an X in the top left corner should be those you can click on to remove.

  • bk 2011 pro Mac dvd player spits out dvd

I have a 15 inch 2011 mac book pro. The dvd player does not work. When you insert a dvd into the computer, the computer acts like it's going to run it, but then he spits. She also shows an error message of the dvd drive on the launch pad. I use the dvd player / cd player a lot. Help, please.

    Hey glerouxwende,

Thank you for being a part of the communities of Apple Support.

I understand from your post that your MacBook Pro is not mounting dics and is just spit them back.  It's probably what is originally an error of the DVD player.  To help solve this problem, I would like to you please follow the steps below:

Accepts discs, but they do not install or are ejected automatically

    1. Make sure that the drive is not placed in reverse. The aluminum case must be upward as shown in section 1.
    2. Check the surface of the disc for scratches and dirt, as these things can prevent the disk on the desktop.
    3. Connect the SuperDrive for MacBook Air drive directly to the USB port of the computer instead a USB hub.
    4. Reset the controller management system (SCM).
    5. Make sure that your drive can read the disc type. The System Profiler or an Information system can provide additional information on the subject of what is supported by your computer media.
      • OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or earlier: Open Apple System Profiler by choosing "about this Mac" from the Apple () menu. Then, click on details.
      • OS X Lion v10.7 and later: click the Apple () menu and hold down the Option key. Select system information in the menu.
    6. If the disc continues to not be recognized, Contact Apple or an provider of services authorized Appleor make an appointment with a Store Apple Store.

  • What happens if a download of El Capitan does not work?

I tried to download El Capitan. After looking in my download folder and do not see anything, I found a 125KO file in my Applications folder. I double-clicked it and it "hidden", but nothing else happened.

After a few hours of research, peering, of research, getting more and more frustrated and search in the archives for help I looked in my Apple account. I found that there is a "purchase" of El Capitan in February 16 - quite a while ago now. He also said "the waiting" in a line entry just before the button that displays "Pause." But the two 'pending' and 'pause' is gray - I can't do anything with them, like "CV."

    Any ideas? Thank you

Restart your Mac and try again this...

Open the App Store and then select purchased in the menu, then click on resume.

If that doesn't help, click on the launch pad icon of your docking station, then click on resume.

El Capitan also, requires 8.8 GB of disk space. You can check the available disk space by clicking the  menu Apple at the top left of your screen. In the menu drop down click on the about this Mac > storage.

See if you can click on resume where you see the app.

Or click on purchases in the App Store menu, then click on resume.

It is probably bugged out I guess, did you try and check your browser or program that you use to download?

have you tried to remove the icon from the launch pad (now Ctrl + Alt or holding the slider in the launchpad until iconst start shaking)?

  • Uninstalling videostream

I installed google chrome and the videostream addon for google chrome.

When I removed google chrome addon was always present in the launchpad. I can't seem to squirm in launch pad, and I can't find in finder on the Application tab.

How can I get rid of him?

Their site does not appear to offer uninstall directions and most of what's on the web is debatable, but they have a support tab

From what I can tell only the applications downloaded from the App Store can be removed from the launch area. weather or not, this means an app is still present is another question.

See this article and proceed as you see fit.

  • New IMovie installed, but it shows 'Pause '.

New IMovie installed, but it shows 'Pause' in the launch pad.  When I opened in App Store, it works perfectly.  How I erased the issue "Paused"?

Paused is generally refers to the progress of the download. Not sure what you mean by "open in the app store it works perfectly. If I film is installed on your computer and works ok, so I do a restart of your computer and see if that clears the break in the launch pad.
