Layers and selective color mixer

I can't find mixer in my 13 items. I tried tutorial but I don't have either the icon or adjustments in my menu where it is. I also wonder if there is an option for selective color as in full photoshop

Hatstead is right, there are other ways to do it in elements so that I rarely use the tools above.

  • Problem of layers and selections in the PS CS3 document

I have a CMYK document with approximately 12 adjustment layers, more with selection masks.  I need to make some changes, but I feel a strange behavior:

    (1) normally, when I click on layers, they are highlighted in color.  With this document, when I click on them they are highlighted in light gray.

    (2) I can not load a selection to a layer, it always chooses everything, not the selection of layer mask.

    (3) when I have the background (or any other image layer) selected, the magic wand tool does not work properly.  When I click once he chooses as expected, but if I hold down the SHIFT key to add to the selection and click it again selects all.  However, if I have a selected adjustment layer MW tool seems to behave normally.

Other documents that I opened did not have these problems and seem to behave normally.

I tried to save a copy of the file and opening and to quit and re-launch of the PS, nor helped.

  • Working with layers and selections.

I have 3 layers. The top layer has a choice I want to return, but when I try to reverse all the layers flip, even if only the top layer is slecected. Any help would be grateful.

You want to invert the selection or just the layer itself?

Do not use a command like "Rotate" under the icon and commercial that assumes that you want to transform the whole of the project. Tap the transformation (5th icon from the right upper-right) and then click the appropriate command. (for example, if you want to return either horizontally or vertically, these icons are on the left in the dialog box.)

If you want to transform a selection, these tools are available via the icon selection in the upper left corner options (4th icon from the left > "Transform").

  • Lightroom 3 and CS5 color change when recording to JPEG

Desperately need help on this one...

In a nutshell if I use lightroom 3 only and print the images printed images are exactly the same on the screen - so I guess the calbration of the screen is correct.

If I use lightroom 3 and export to CS5 to continue to make adjustments more when I save the image in jpeg, it seems to have saved well. However if you then maximize the photo in full-screen colors change - radically. Basically, they look aweful. They become quite dull and lose it saturation settings (which were made originally in Lightroom). They print this much too.

It drives me crazy. I don't think that it has nothing to do with the calibration because it is OK when just using LR3.

I played with it quite a bit to try to find a solution and have found that if I export for CS5 and Lightroom makes no changes to the photos but just save - she always changes the colors

Sorry - if it makes a difference... may not, but I have not exported from lightroom for CS5.

Everything I do is select the right click, click on edit in the > Adobe Photoshop CS5.1...

Then in CS5 it opens and appears exactly the same as in LR

From there, I click on file > save under > Jpeg formats and there is an another labeled checked - ICC profile: Prophoto RGB (not really sure what it is and there is no other options to change)

I tried to show a difference in color by joining the photo.

Photo right is edited in Lightroom. These colors are what you see when it is maximized on screen and the colors print correctly too. This photo has been open and then in CS5 (photo left) (with LR adjustments) and saved as jpeg and you can see how to change the colors. But you do not see the change unless the screen is completely optimized - and she that prints a lot too.

I don't know what to do someone had similar problems?

    LR3 and CS5.png

Yes.  Had something similar last night, but with LR 4.1. I suspect that we each have a color profile mismatch, although I had no time to solve my problem yet.

My first thought is that the native LR color space is Prophoto default, but PhotoShop must have its 'working color space' specified by the user.  Unless Prophoto is specified in PS, there will be differences in color on a Prophoto image scale (sensitivity) of color-travel will vary from one image to the opening image.

To change the workspace in PS, pull down the Edit menu and select "color settings".

Don't forget to check the box to inform you and ask how you want to handle the inadequacy of the color profile.

As the previous poster said, prophoto is a bad choice for the use of the web.  probbaly the most commonly used color space sRGB is relatively low

    Good luck.

  • Questions about layers and color selection. Help, please! : 0

Hello!  I am a user of Gimp for a long time, but finally upgraded to photoshop primarily for logo designs or.  I'm a bit lost when it comes for the most part and did not get some questions answered by youtube tutorials that I thought I could.  How to draw on multiple layers?  I don't understand the error message when I try.  Also how I ' smart select ' a certain color on a given layer?  Thank you very much!!!

First of all, I suggest that if your work is in large part illustration and logos, you look at the Adobe Illustrator. Amnesty International, a vector approx. offers many advantages and can provide an accurate picture regardless of resizing. If you prefer to work with Photoshop, you can draw on several layers, by choosing each layer in turn through the layers panel. If an image has several dull colors and you want to select one of them to put on its own layer, see the feature Select > color range followed by Cmd + J. remember to save your file as a psd rather than jpg in order to maintain the different layers.

  • How to make a three-way color mix (and rounded edge effect)?

For what it's worth, I use Illustrator CS5 but I guess that any solution will apply to all versions.

In practice, I pretty well where I have to so is not an immediate problem, but I don't know there are much better ways to achieve the effect, and I would like to have in stock for any future reference. I don't know if it is a fundamental issue that I should be able to understand easily or a challenge for practitioners more advanced; Whatever it is, I would be grateful for any suggestion.

The final product I was looking for - sort of - is shown here:

    3-colour-triangle-blend.gif

The two elements that I struggled with were:

    1. Mix colors where they join - especially the mixture of three lanes in the Middle, which, in the end, I avoided by placing another object on top! I've resorted to a manual, tedious and inaccurate approach point by point using grids and it didn't really deliver what I wanted, which was a join without seam between colors.
    2. Get the effect of an edge rounded up to the level of the perimeter of the triangle - I used the same technique of mesh-and-guessing (and it shows).

In any solution can anyone suggest, one of the important things should be able to dictate the distance on which the mixture and the frame work, where the colours merge both the edges rounded. Feel free, also, to start from the beginning with "first of all, build your triangle" - I realized, as I did, that there are different ways to do it, and it may be best that special mixture for one approach.

    Thanks for your thoughts,

    Giles.

Do as Mike or Steve said (this is so Steve, turned to color points) adds a blur the edge traced triangle: in the layers panel select the clipping mask, copy and paste in front, choose a stroke color (that of tannish), align the race inside, add Gaussian blur. Play with value of blur and the race until you are satisfied.

  • Missing object, color mixer, panels layers etc.

Hi, I'm trying to help a family friend having problems with its programs on the fly. She has Fh9 and FhMx, both on a PC running WXP pro.

In both programs, the signs of objects do not appear. If I go Windows > object nothing happens. Even if I try Ctrl + F3 etc. The same problem occurs with the color mixer, documents, layers etc. Nothing happens if I use small icons on the main toolbar either.

I tried to go to the preferences and re-creation of default values, but nothing happens.

I know this is an old program, and it must convert to Illustrator. But it's a bit weird and iritating. Someone at - it ideas?

Perhaps you have not deleted the correct preferences file. See this technote.

  • Simultaneously select several layers and sous-calques

    Hello

I'll have to select several layers and their Undercoats in Illustrator 2014, but sticking to the procedure described in the post below only lets you select several "main layers" with the left sublayer deselected.

Re: Is it possible to select more than one layer by selecting the first and the last layers?

Could someone please explain how the layers and sous-calques can be selected in the layers panel?

  • The color mixer and other questions tool

Hey. I have Photoshop CS4, which I use with enough success for digital art and pixel, but there is still a lot to the program that is unknown to me and trying to google an answer isn't getting me anywhere. I have a few questions.

Is there some sort of color Blender tool in CS4? Color mixer, I mean something that let me easily to choose two different colors and generate a range of colors between them. The http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/color-blend/ tool is an example of a program that does what I hope that Photoshop can do.

Is it possible to simultaneously display my Web times zoomed in and her real size that I draw? This is mainly of SNES, where close-up art can look really different from the actual product. A small canvas size in the corner of my screen to update that I made changes to the zoom art would allow me to save the time I spend to juggle magnifiers.

Is there way to keep the smudge with a full opacity tool? When in use, the burrs from the edges of color on an empty space makes it start to become transparent. As of now, I just get rid of it by multiplying layer a few times and then merge, is but there a way to disable that?

If there is no specific ways to do these things, any suggestions or guides that you know would be useful too. Thank you!

Another possibility and more of what Chris suggested - try to make the Navigator Panel visible through Window - Navigator.  The advantage of this is that it tells you which part of the image you zoom-in on.

  • Change a picture n & B in black and a color?

I have a black and white image and I want to change the image to look as if it printed on color paper. Basically I want the spectrum of the impression of being black and green (as example) instead of black and white. I can't do this by simply selecting white and replace the color of a layer due to shades of gray. So if a grey is black to 70 percent and 30 percent of whites, id want it to be then the colors black and 30% to 70%. Thoughts?

If that's what you have in mind.

  • Need help to write a script that opens files, removes layers and sous-calques

    Hey all,.

I'm a noob to the community of script, and what I try to do is file edit commands that share the same names of layers and sublayers. I have a few questions that would be incredibly useful if I could have answered.

I'm not sure how to define a script too call out of the layers that have been created without script. I need to create a variable for the existing layers and leave the script to know what their names are in the files?

For example, I have three files which have each layer named 'cutlayer', 'trimlayer', 'fold' and 'work '. I need to write a script that opens three files, deletes the layer 'fold' of each file, and then move the layer "trimlayer" in his own sublayer in 'work' (the base layer can be on the top so reorganization sublayers is not necessary to worry about something). I do not understand how to write the script because I couldn't find examples in the documentation for the script provided on the adobe website which has worked with existing files.

It's my shot at what I'm trying to do, with English fill in the blanks of what I do not know how to script. If anyone can help me understand this point, I would really appreciate it!

app.documents.openDlg (prompt, filter, MultiSelect);  the user opens the associated files

If (documents.length > 0) //run the script through each document individually

    {

    sourceDoc = activeDocument;

    delete the "fold" sourceDoc layer

move the "trimlayer" in the layer "work."

remove the underlayment 'path' of layer "work."

Run the script through each document

Save the new file name folder in the new parallel to the current folder on the hard disk

Go out and spend in each document until there is no more

    }

    create new document

Place documents published in different layers in the new document, with a distance between them, optimize the space on a 51 "x 51" work plan, using as little of the artboard as possible. "

All comments are things basically, I do not know how and am trying to figure out how to do, so if anyone has a second to explain some of these things, I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks again!

I know it of very frustrating when his apprenticeship and things don't go as planned, but understand that it is quite confusing as it is and do not add more confusion to the mix by using other tools than those provided. I mean JSLint, it might be useful with GENERAL javascript syntax, but Adobe's Javascript implementation is another animal, or another language, always JavaScript, but intended to be run by its own engine. JSLint has no idea what "layers", or "pathItems" are, it will trigger errors when he sees the objects, it does not recognize.

  • QUICK HELP! layer of color mixing, remove the burrs of old photo shirt.

It's for my friend whose father just passed away, I need it to be done as soon as possible.  I'm having a problem, try to remove a task from an old photograph, I use a layer of color mixing to preserve the natural wrinkle in the shirt, but the color of the layer is not appear correctly when I use the pipette on the main color of the shirt, which is not dirty. He released a light aqua blue. any help is appreciated

    DSC06299.jpg

The color will come out light on the layer of color mixing is because the color mode change only the color, not the clear values and dark of the underlying layer.

I would like to start with a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer.

Once you have place look good enough, merge the adjustment with the layer of the image layer.

Simply select the edges of the defect and do not select too much at once.

After selecting a part of the dashboard, Edit > fill > Content Aware. You may need to go on some areas more than once with Content Aware.

And then do additional adjustments that may be required using the toning tools - Dodge, Burn, sponge. After that, the default should be much less noticeable.
