LDAP configuration with vFoglight 6.5
Im trying to configure LDAP services within our domain for use with vFoglight. My goal is to have a group operator and administrator group that uses our AD accounts instead of "local." I'm not sure if I have properly configure all LDAP settings. Can someone check my settings and let me know where can be the problem?
Also under Administration > users & security management > user management > groups; The LDAP group button is grayed out. If the LDAP settings are correct this button will become live?
Here are our settings:
Account is anonymous. fake Unique name of the service account. Contoso . com\svc_acct password | **** LDAP query prefix | CN= Query LDAP suffix. OU = site, DC = corp, DC = contoso, DC = com The scopes to search for groups | UO = site, DC = corp, DC = contoso, DC = com The second space of group names. UO = site, DC = corp, DC = contoso, DC = com The third namespace group | "in white" The LDAP context for the user's search. UO = site, DC = corp, DC = contoso, DC = com Role attribute ID | name Is Role DN attribute | fake ID of user alias attribute | sAMAccountName ID of the attribute to search for groups | members Match the DN of the user. true JAAS LoginModule name | Security for JACQUES com.quest.nitro.service.security.auth.spi.NitroExtendedLdapLoginModule name field. FGL-web-console Group ID parent attribute | memberOf Attribute of the group to search for nested groups. members Maximum level of group nesting. 15 LDAP search time (milliseconds). 10 000 mode of research group | direct
I hope that your problem has been resolved but support. You can also check our free training site: http://svgtraining.quest.com/ which has a video on the LDAP configuration.

It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post. As he complains about MigrationBasis. I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed
Cluster-0 unicast database TO
Cluster-0 unicast consensus And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

Hello world
Using APEX 4.2, RDBMS 11 GR 2.
I tried to configure for APEX to authenticate users in Active Directory after a certain number of messages in the forum but do not have the bees with success. Grateful if someone can help. Here's my server details (I replaced my server/domain with example.com):
Domain: example.com
The distinguished name (DN): CN = name, OU = HQ, OU = accounts, DC = example, DC = com
sAMAccountName: case flast
I used the above DN string to authenticate by using the simple_bind_s function in the DMBS_LDAP package and works very well in the workshop of APEX SQL and SQL Developer.
I tried in the APEX by specifying in the field DN with the following, but it doesn't work:
CN = % LDAP_USER %, OR = HQ, OU = accounts, DC = example, DC = com
Also tried in the APEX of what follows as well but still does not work (as suggested by some posts):
example % LDAP_USER %, OR = HQ, UO is user accounts, DC = example, DC = com
Example\%LDAP_USER%,ou=HQ,ou=User accounts, DC = example, DC = com
Example/%LDAP_USER%,ou=HQ,ou=User accounts, DC = example, DC = com
CN = example % LDAP_USER %, OR = HQ, OU = accounts, DC = example, DC = com
.. and many more variations
Also tried this
http://www.grassroots-Oracle.com/2013/09/using-LDAP-to-authenticate-your-apex.html
and this
http://ruepprich.WordPress.com/2012/11/02/LDAP-authentication-with-Apex/
Can someone tell what I should try?
Thanks in advance
Thanks for your reply. I think my 'short' (in this example) is "example". I also tried, but it does not work.
This a mistake? Or show us to debug information.
I was just wondering if you need to register the schema of the apex and apex public user in the ACL?
You must add the schema of the apex to ACL.

LDAP Configuration problem - BEEP in a deployment of OBIEE
All,
I have an OBIEE 11 g (11.1.1.6.0), including environmental BI Publisher put in place. I have successfully completed the integration of OBIEE with LDAP and LDAP ID user can connect you with the Group/privilege information is applied as announced. BI Publisher, however, is not so cooperative. Here's what I have:
As part of the LDAP configuration, I replaced the BISystemUser id with a user based on LDAP, ADBISystemUser id. However, whenever someone tries to connect, they get the error message * "[53012]" user authentication failed: adbisystemuser "*." The BIP newspaper shows this same message, preceded by the message * "[nQSError: 43113] Message returned by OBIS." * I know with certainty that this user id is configured correctly - OBIEE users are able to connect, and my LDAP browser is able to connect using these credentials.
At RANDOM, I have the Administration-> Security page configured as follows:
Local superuser: enabled (this is the only way I can connect now)
Authentication: authentication UNIQUE not selected; Use LDAP selected and the correct LDAP, id, password etc entered configuration settings.
Authorization: security model = BI Server and the correct settings for this entry (entry in the installation, no change)
I searched nQSError 43113 and 53012 and validated different suggestions I've seen without success. I can't tell you how many times I rebooted services. I have reset the GUID, verified passwords/accounts are locked out, tested and retested in BEEP passwords match those of LDAP. The only thing that worked (sort of), was when I jumped LDAP protocol for authentication and set up LDAP for authorization (3rd section on the Administration-> Security Page). When it is configured for LDAP, the BEEP was able to bind to LDAP and users could connect. Unfortunately, given that we were not BI server authorization, users could not see the folders, or they would avoid data sources or report objects. What do we have this test was to confirm that BEEP pourrait LDAP access. It is not the way I need to do.
The last thing I tried was to adbisystemuser id in LDAP so that it lay in the same "folder" as all my users instead of a folder, separate service accounts. Even this was not useful. I implemented the XMLP * groups, even though I do not expect that these are referenced. The id adbisystemuser is a member of XMLP_ADMIN, and users have been added to the XMLP_DEVELOPER group, for what it's worth.
Suggestions or recommendations on how to get the BEEP if authenticate to LDAP would be really appreciated!
Thank you!
EricEric,
In my setup, I use Fusion Middleware as a model of security and everything seems to work.
In the documentation model Oracle BI Server is Legacy only:
5.2 integration with Oracle BI Server Security
The security option Oracle BI Server is for customers who want to use the authentication of the legacy of 10g. This section does not apply if you set up Oracle Fusion Middleware security.Michael

Dear all,
This is my first interaction with VCeneter Orchestrator and I am facing a problem in the configuration of the LDAP configuration. He expects the Strait for me but he said Dungeon "configuration Ldap registered successfully, but the configuration is wrong.»
Connection error: LDAP successful but no users found. Check LDAP paths.
Group Admin not found error
I don't know what I did so wrong if someone could guide me to set this configuration in the right way.
I entered the name of the domain controller and test the connectivity by using Telnet and everything was fine. Only the root using unique name format exported from Active directory using the DSQuery command.
the resource used was VM_ Orc. configuration guide.
Your accesnance is much appreciated.
Thank you.
Ahmed Salah
For example, assuming that a field of acme.corp with all users in the default location and the groups in the default location, you configure the paths as follows. This example uses a group named 'vcoadmins' with the 'administrator' account a member of this group:
Root: dc = acme, dc = corp
User name: [email protected]
User search base: cn = users, dc = acme, dc = corp
Group search base: cn = users, dc = acme, dc = corp
vCO Admin group: cn = vcoadmins, cn = users, dc = acme, dc = corp
This help at all?

Successive connection LDAP fails after the first LDAP authorization: with wrong password
Hello
I am currently integration Oracle CC & B utility to LDAP (Sun Directory Server java - SunOne), but I made a post here because CC & B delegates the task of authentication to the server Weblogic (I user WLS version 10).
In Weblogic, I configured two authentication providers:
1. the principal is the LDAP authentication provider (defined as optional control indicator)
2. secondary education is the default authentication provider (defined as optional control indicator)
Currently, some users of CC & B are stored in LDAP, and some other (more users system) are stored in the default authentication provider.
To help you make the problem more clear, I did the test with followingscenario:
1. user LDUser2 (stored in LDAP) login with correct passwrod-> success
2. the sysuser user (stored in the default authentication provider) connect with incorrect password-> access denied (what is good and normal)
3. the LDUser2 (stored in LDAP) user login with password-> successful OK
4. the sysuser user (stored in the default authentication provider) connect with correct password-> successful OK
5. the user (stored in LDAP) LDUser2 connect with the incorrect password-> denied access, which is normal. However, from this point, the problem starts
6. the user (stored in LDAP) LDUser2 connect with the right password-> rejected access KO is the problem
7. connection (also stored in LDAP as LDUser2) LDUser1 with the right password of the user-> big problem of access denied KO
8. the LDUser7 user (stored in the default authentication provider) connect with the right password-> successful access
9 restart the server resets the situation, but once a user is stored in the LDAP connection with a wrong password (5 point number), attempts by users stored in LDAP fail.
It seems that after the first LDAP authentication with wrong password, all users stored in LDAP connection attempts will fail.
Help, please.
Thank you.
JeffryHello
The connection attempt is made on console weblogic with the same result?
If I'm not wrong, until WLS 10.3 it is a problem reported where once the user connects with password and username incorrect, all attempts after that results in the failure of the connection.
The patch is available with up to 10.3 WLS support
This might be the question however need to check.

Not an Airprint printer can be configured with a new Macbook Air?
Recently purchased a new Macbook Air. Can it be configured with an older printer on our WiFi network that has no Airprint?
Sure. At the end of the day, COMMAND + P (or CTRL + P in Windows) always sends this same basic command PRINT to the default printer. Any printer that is.
The only problem is the printer driver software. If the manufacturer of the printer has written a driver that works with MacBook Air, download it, install it and make your old default printer.

Hello
I'm interested to know if the "EVS" (engine shared Variables) can run on a PXI-8145RT configured with LabVIEW RT 2009? My needs would be only a few Boolean variables. Did someone tried this configuration?
Thank you
Michel

There are also alarms that deal with the latency of disk. You are looking for a report or dashboard? Check the alarm Viewer and define a filter on the "latency". This will show you all the current latency time, then you can explore the host or logical unit number that is having the problem.

The MAF project has been configured with an unsupported JDK
Hello
I am facing problem in jdevloper for implementation of the MAF. I have provided the JDK 1.8 version. But it still gives the following error.
'D:\Jdev ADF Home\mywork\MyMobileApp\ApplicationController\ApplicationController.jpr' project has been configured with an unsupported JDK. Make sure that the "profile 2 Compact MAF JDK 1.8 & quot; is used.
Type or a variable 'oracle.adfmf.application.LifeCycleListener' not found.
Jdev Version: Studio Edition Version 12.1.3.0.0
Extension of the MAF: 2.1.0.0.41.150115.1352
Please suggest me to fix this problem.
Thank you
SAN
Simply change name Java SE 1.8.0_40 to the MAF JDK 1.8 Compact 2 profile
I guess it will solve your problem.

vCAC 6.0 - shared configuration with separate infrastructure
Hello
I've been playing with vCAC 6.0 on my lab environment, and have a few questions related to the configuration shared with separate infrastructure.
In literature, there is a section that explains the difference between a single and shared tenant configuration and within several tenants, the section explains two different - one configuration with the configuration of the shared infrastructure, and 1 vote against and separate infrastructure on each tenant.
I was able to install all the components of vCAC 6.0 and have been playing with assignment of permissions tenant Admin and Admin infrastructure (IaaS) on different tenants. I added the end point of vSphere (vCenter) to the default configuration of the tenant (vsphere.local) and created the tissue group. Then I disconnected, navigate to the URL of the other tenant (calling it "Tenant LAB") and connected as an Admin IaaS. What I found was that the IaaS Admin LABORATORY tenant could see and edit the configuration details of the powers/group configured by IaaS Admin tenant default endpoint/fabric point. Surely, the other tenant IaaS Admin shouldn't be able to mess around with the settings made by IaaS Admin in the default tenant?
I also found that when I added a point to endpoint/fabric group/diploma config for a default tenant (calling it 'Tenant 1') and then Administrator of another tenant IaaS (again, by default, describing it as "tenants 2"), IaaS Admin of the tenant 2 has been able to change the configuration of the group point of termination/references/fabric made by IaaS Admin in 1 tenant. That begs the issue of infrastructure configuration how isolated is between tenants in vCAC. The configuration of the Infrastructure is supposed to be shared like this?
Thanks in advance
The behavior you described is the expected behavior of the system. Currently, there are very strong tenant isolation in the catalogue of services, end-user features and business groups. However, infrastructure (endpoint points, groups of tissues, of identifying information) will be shared by tenants. I think a separate infrastructure is more in what the logical configuration of an endpoint, fabric/to be used only by a tenant Group bookings and another point of termination/reservations to be used by another tenant. This should be applied to a configuration at the tissue level, and it is not enforced by the system. Again, isolation would be reached at the end user level / service catalogue, where users of a tenant would be able to use and bookings resourcea configured for their tenants only of requests.

Excerpt of ERROR [http-bio-8443-exec-1]. Authenticator: org.apache.directory.shared.ldap.model.exception.LdapInvalidDnException: ERR_04202 a value is missing on some RDN
can anyone suggest what could be the problem
Indicated user name is a UPN or Email address... not a DN. DN resemble CN = test, OU = test, DC = test, DC = com.
Please post the exact value of the DN using LDP or a similar LDAP tool against the LDAP provider to check the attribute for the metering login account.

A no matter what you have ESXi 4.1 configured with HP SIM and system home page?
Does anyone have ESXi 4.1 configured with HP SIM? I installed ESXi 4.1 with the HP Agents but must monitor via HP SIM so that we can monitor the hardware. Also is there a way to get the home page of the HP system to appear on port 2381? Or which is no longer available with ESXi 4.1?
For information about how to configure HP - SIM, take a look at http://communities.vmware.com/message/1590665
The homepage of management is only available for ESX, not for ESXi.

E.M.P. 11.1.2.2 configuration with SQL Server 2008 R2
Hello
I was wondering if he should place the sqljdbc4.jar under any folder EPM_HOME\MW file to connect to SQL Server 2008 when you configure using the EMP system configurator.
I'm just be proactive and ask the question because I had to do the same thing when configuring with SQL Server 2008R2 ODI...
Looks like Oracle don't like MS and visa versa... Why not include just this file JDBC installation.
Thanks in advance! No you shouldn't need drivers for sql server additional to configure SQL SERVER in the configurator to EMP they are included as part of the configurator.
See you soon
