PXI-8145 RT configured with LabVIEW RT 2009 running EVS, is this possible?

I'm interested to know if the "EVS" (engine shared Variables) can run on a PXI-8145RT configured with LabVIEW RT 2009? My needs would be only a few Boolean variables. Did someone tried this configuration?

Hi all I work in a cooperative and we use the hyperion 11.1.2.1 Tools version. I have a doubt about the use of the sliders. Here's my situation: I have a result that shows sales by branch product x. In a slider I the branch and o the other products. Both are assigned to a speedometer. When I put a cursor in one position (when I choose a branch, for example) the speedometer indicates all the sales for this branch, regardless of the product placed in the other cursor. In the lead, I thought that the cursor works as a filter and the speedometer will respect the two sliders. My main question is: is possible to work with a meter speed (for example) and two or more cursors? And two slide acting as a filter...

Unfortunately a cursor is allowed to control other objects. You can use a different control in combination with slider - dropdown or Listbox.

I have a device connected to my PC that stores data in a file "file.area" ASCII type
When I open this file with Excel, I can read the data. Butwhen I open it with a text editor (like Notepad ++), I see the Chineese lines... Same thing when I opened the file with LabView.
I've attached an example of this type of (compressed) file.
So, can I export (convert) this file to a. XLS file using labview to exploit it later? Is it possible to eploit directly this file with LabView?
PS: It is NOT possible to create. TXT or. XLS file directly by the software of this unit.
I have 2 questions about the coexistence of the different versions of Labview:
First question: we have several machines with Labview 7 runtime engine, and where this Labiew version executables are running. Now, I was new software to develop using Labview 8, and I want to run them in the same devices. I guess for these new programs I install runtime Labview 8. Pourrait that affect running the old software? Because for us, the good performance of the oldest is crutial.
Second question: in the other machine, installed 7is Labview. Also in this machine, we would launch an executable of Labview 8. We want to keep there Laview 7. So, if I install runtime Labview 8, could that affect Labview 7?

Just install runtime LabVIEW 8. It does not come into conflict with the former engines of execution or the facilities of LabVIEW.
PXI-1033 connected through MXI to a PC running Windows 7. LabVIEW 2014. TestStand 2014 (32 bit). DMM PXI-4110 food and PXI-4070.
In MAX, I can open two soft signs and two control units and they work great. In LabVIEW, I can control the two cards as well.
MAX I put in place a pilot and a logical name for my DMM. This unit works very well within TestStand using one-step IVI DMM.
I then configure the 4110 to the MAX with a pilot of the IVI and logical name. Here are my settings:
Name: ni4410_PS
Material: Immobilization of additional hardware and select the PS. This is checked, any other assets are checked.
Software module: NOR-DCPower, 4110 is listed as a device supported.
Virtual names: It is where I am confused, under the name of physics there are four options that arise (0, 1, 2 and 3). This power has only 3 exits, so I'm not sure why four rise. I've done 4 virtual names, one for each of the options. I named the ch0, ch1, ch2 and ch3 respectively.
When I put a power of IVI step TestStand, everything seems to work. I open the configuration window and set my values for each channel. If I try to validate the configuration by deselecting simulate and click init I do not receive an error. As soon as I click on 'Set up' or 'Show Soft Front Panel', I get the following error:
"IVI operation failed set to the name of lgical"OR PS 1'. Details: Possibility of Extention not taken care of by instrument driver. (Base) (- 30717) »
Any information would be appreciated. I tried to play with it for a few hours yesterday and a few colleagues trying to help. We are all under the assumption that it should work.
NI PXI-8145 connectivity has suddenly disappeared. I tried to reset the IP address using the switch NORM/IPRST, but it is still impossible to detect the device. MAX cannot detect it even if the workstation (PC) detects a network. Also, USER1 light is all the time (and it's supposed to blink). What I would do. Is this a problem in map (PXI-8145) itself? or can be linked to the chassis (pxi - 1031)? If there is no damage, what might have caused it? is there a Service Center for repair anywhere? How much would it cost?...

The controller never worked properly? Using FTP, look at the OR-RT/STARTUP folder (type ftp://x.x.x.x/ni-rt/startup in Internet Explorer, where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the controller). What is there? If you connect a monitor to it, something appears? If so, what is on the screen?
Your User1 light is constantly on. The LED flashing sequence is documented in the manual on page B1. Always on is not one of the choices. When you power cycle the chassis, the controller starts with the LED User1, or it will Flash and then stay on? We can start from scratch by uninstalling the software on the controller and put it back. To uninstall it, manually put the controller in safe MODE (switch S2 - see the PXI - 8140RT manual series pp. 2 - 6 and B-2 for more details). Right now, starting with S2 switched uninstalls the software. Switch to normal and then reconfigure the controller.
What IP settings give you the controller? What version of LabVIEW Real-time using you? What drivers you put on the controller? What are the parameters of the host PC IP? What is in the program that you are using? You call dll or any C code?

The installation of drivers for all targets in real-time remotely is more or less the same. First install the driver (in your case the NO-Sync) on your PC, then install it on your system remotely through MAX. For step-by-step instructions, see install the software on your NI CompactRIO controller.
I have problems referring to a shared library built from a LabVIEW VI under RHEL 5 with LabVIEW 2009.
To illustrate the problem, I created a VI with a digital input and output that corresponds to a certain number. Then, I created a draft specification of build to create a shared library with a feature that makes use of this VI square. The shared object is created successfully (square.so).
When I try to compile a test application written in C, that connects to this library, I get errors in the following link:

Running ldd reveals that liblvrtdark.so.9.0 is used for the execution of labview.
In order to investigate on what could be the cause of the problem, I have compiled the nidaqmx basic examples, and I don't have an error. Current running ldd as reveals that he uses liblvrtdark.so.8.2 for the view of laboratory, time of execution.
My suspicion is that some components of labview are being compiled with gcc 3.4 while others are being compiled with gcc 4.1 (which is the default compiler in RHEL 5).
Any ideas how I could fix the build errors?

I'm happy to report that I managed to get the code to work. I have included some of the steps I experienced the problem in case it might help improve the documentation or future generations.
In response to your question about the "error 1" reported by do, it's just an indication that detected a compiler error (it probably resembles the return code of the compiler).
The errors ' undefined reference... @GLIBCXX_3.4.9 "have been narrowed down. The generated labview shared library, the square.so, links to /usr/local/lib/LabVIEW-2009/patchlib/libstdc++.so.6 which is a symlink to usr/local/lib/LabVIEW-2009/patchlib/libstdc++.so.6.0.9. I decided to compare this version of libstdc ++ that included with RHEL:
So libstdc ++ RedHat does not include a string for GLIBCXX_3.4.9.
With this in mind, I was able to get my test application to compile using the version of LabVIEW libstdc ++ using the following makefile:

When you try to run the application, I got the following error:
./test: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/local/lib/liblvrtdark.so.9.0: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied
But apparently, it's because of SELinux prohibiting the use of libraries shared with moving text. This can be disabled by running /usr/sbin/setenforce 0 as root.
I have a vi created with Labview 2009 and I want to open and run the vi in Labview 8.5.
It opens to 8.5
Can I save the vi since 2009 in a format that is compatible with 8.5?
If you click the file menu in the toolbar of LabVIEW, you should see a "except for the previous version. If your vi does not have all the features that are specific LabVIEW2009, you should be able to save it to 8.5.
LabVIEW is generally open earlier versions, not the other way around. I say generally because there are a few points that have changed drastically, such that you have to use an intermediate version to make the vi up to a more recent version.
I recently converted a PXI time system real OS (PXI-1042 q chassis, controller PXI-8187, DAQ, PXI-4461, DAQ, PXI-6259). I can write and run DAQmx applications in real time with the 6259 very well. Whenever I try to write a labview RT app to use the 4461, however, it will fail. Note that I can use two cards through MAX I tried switching card slots, just in case it was a problem. Both cards worked with labview, the PXI chassis was before Windows.
Attached are pictures of the screw base demo I built to show the problem. Since I was a mistake (-200758) if I started from the raw strings, I tried to create a MAX task and use it. The task, but he complained of a buffer is too small. I explicitly put the buffer to work around this problem and still get the same error (-200608). I've also attached a screenshot of the software currently on the Max MAX RT PXI system is version 4.6.2 btw. (I installed the most/all this from DS1 Dev Suite 2010 version).
Please let me know if I hurt something installed, versions if 4461 just don't play nice with the new BT or RT software, or if something is wrong. Thank you.

Executable works fine while the installer does not work!

Problem is in the source file: ProgramFilesFolder was not also identical to my request. So I refreshed that (the folder UsFile appeared not in ProgramFilesFolde)
